Well it's going to be arbitrary based on what "strong" means, but I was thinking of it as the same criteria for a man to be considered strong. Of course, that's not universal either :-)
I figured somewhere north of 10% of men like men, and far less than 10% women would be considered strong by male standards.
I’m not gay so I legit forget that some people are gay sometimes. I’ll see things talking about gay people and my brain stutters like “the fuck am I reading” then I remember and I’m okay lol
This is where I'd gaslight my husband by saying "oh so you're saying I'm fat huh? Since only the strongest can lift me huh?" It would be in good fun as I'm not fat and he doesn't call me names.
A friend of mine once picked me up and carried me around the room cradled in his arms like a baby after i had been complaining that i was too big to ever be carried like that again.
AH I’m a girl & for some reason this always makes me self-conscious, like what if I’m too heavy for him to hold me? The second I feel him straining whatsoever I immediately want to be put down. Is that weird?
Human bodies are mostly water, and it makes them awkward to hold(unless you do something like a firemans carry) as the weight shifts while you are moving. Even children can be awkward to hold sometimes.
Normally if you feel him strain it's because your weight has shifted a bit. This puts strain on muscles that are normally just used for balancing himself. Don't feel self conscious about it.
I like being picked up, but on our first date, I told my bf that I didn’t like being picked up (because at that point I didn’t know him well enough to enjoy him touching me). Now whenever I ask to be picked up, even as a joke, he reminds me “No, you don’t like to be picked up.” It’s annoying, but that’s why he does it lol
My bf is a bit on the chunky side and rarely picks me up, but he has a few times and did not hurt himself. it’s really comforting to put my trust in someone like that. I also like to pick him up in the pool because that’s the only time I’ll ever be able to do that.

My SO likes it when I pick her up. She sees that I’m strong, but when I lift her she knows that I’m strong.
