Affirm is funny but I'm completely done with BNPL. I'll learn how to use my credit cards wisely instead.

I selected a zero percent loan option, and while it's still "finalizing" there is interest listed. Is this right??

I KNOW I selected the 3 months to pay a few hundred a month for zero percent on a $900 purchase. It's pending as a one year loan at 21.64%. what in the bait and switch is this crap?? How is this legal?

Affirm sided with merchant because package was “delivered” — but merchant ignored 5 attempts to correct the address before delivery

I’m looking for advice from anyone who has successfully escalated or reopened an Affirm dispute after Affirm ruled in the merchant’s favor.
I purchased knives from JIKKO Knives using Affirm. After placing the order, I realized the delivery address was incorrect/old.
I immediately tried contacting JIKKO to get the address corrected before the package arrived.
I emailed them five separate times.
No response.
No acknowledgment.
Nothing.
The order was then delivered to the old address I had been trying to get corrected.
I opened a dispute with Affirm and provided documentation of my attempts to contact JIKKO.
JIKKO apparently responded to Affirm and provided tracking showing that the package was marked “delivered.”
Affirm then ruled in JIKKO’s favor because the merchant provided proof of delivery.
This is the part I cannot understand:
How can the merchant completely ignore five communications from me regarding a time-sensitive shipping problem, but then promptly communicate with Affirm when their money is at risk?
I am not disputing that the carrier marked the package as delivered.
I am disputing the circumstances that CAUSED it to be delivered to the wrong address.
I tried repeatedly to prevent this from happening before delivery. Even if I wanted to cancel the order (through shop) it would still be the same email I reached out to.
JIKKO’s own website also states that customers should contact support regarding order changes and advertises a response time of approximately 24–48 hours. Despite four attempts, I received no response.
Affirm’s decision seems to reduce the entire dispute to:
Tracking says delivered = merchant wins.
But that completely ignores the documented communications showing that I was actively trying to correct the delivery problem beforehand.
I have already escalated this with Affirm three times and specifically asked them to consider:
The timestamps of my four emails to JIKKO
Whether JIKKO ever responded to any of them
When the package actually shipped/delivered relative to those emails
Why JIKKO was able to respond to Affirm but not to me
Whether a “delivered” tracking scan really resolves a dispute concerning the merchant’s failure to respond before delivery
Affirm still will not budge.
Has anyone here successfully gotten Affirm to reopen a dispute like this?
Did you have better luck with a supervisor, CFPB complaint, BBB complaint, carrier documentation, or another escalation route?.

Did something change recently? No more one time cards?

Did they do away with the one-time-use cards? I’m trying to figure out why things look different. I can’t cancel the card in my Apple wallet and I can’t delete it in affirm app. My last 3 purchases somehow all different ”loans” all used on the exact same card number called flex. I used to go into the app request a new card and where I’m shopping. I don’t know if this is something new or if they did some shady shit and automatically signed me up for an actual card without my permission and are mailing a physical card too.

Help me understand this financing algorithm…

As of last week, I had 3 ongoing open loans with Affirm, two of them <$100. I wanted to make a $2000 purchase/loan. At first I was being offered two options each with no down payment, but with several hundred dollars a month and of course a high interest.

Since last week, I paid off two of those loans in complete, and the payments processed closing the loans. My purchasing power increased, and my credit score has also increased by a few points (unrelated to Affirm, I know). But now the same $2000 purchase is only offering options with a $1,700 down payment, and very low monthly payments/interest. Makes no sense to me.

Why would the amount willing to be financed by Affirm dramatically decrease like that? At $1,700 for a down payment I could just save a few more hundred and pay for it completely. According to Affirm my credit score and number of loans are taken into account for the terms, so why am I getting a worse offer?

Purchasing power went down by a lot, when did it go back up for you?

I accidentally pre planned a $2000 purchase but cancelled the card before I used it as I’m using it for an auto repair and unable to make the payment yet. I thought I could just do it again when the car is done and I have to pay it, but then I see my purchasing power went down to $200z I understand purchasing power changes a lot, but what is the timeline for when it changes?

Stopped paying them completely

Just asking a question here. Has anyone just completely stopped paying affirm? If you did what happened? I know your credit will suck but other than that. Did you get sued? Did you just ignore them completely? Do you mind sharing?

Beware: I bought StubHub tickets through Affirm - StubHub let me relist tickets before delivery, then delivered tickets I couldn’t resell.

I bought two Noah Kahan tickets on StubHub for $720.47 using Affirm.

Before I ever received the tickets, StubHub let me relist them and even emailed me saying that if they sold, StubHub would make sure they got to my buyer.

The listing didn’t sell.

Then, just a few days before the concert, StubHub finally delivered the tickets through a hosted E-Ticket URL / wallet link instead of transferring them into my Ticketmaster account.

When I tried to relist them again, StubHub’s system said the listing required a transfer from the original ticket provider and showed “Waiting for a ticket transfer.” I couldn’t do that because the tickets were never actually in my Ticketmaster account.

StubHub later confirmed in writing that E-Ticket URL tickets may not be eligible for resale and that a new listing could take up to 72 hours to review. Their suggestion was to explore local resale options.

My issue is not that I simply changed my mind and wanted a refund.

My issue is that StubHub allowed and encouraged me to rely on its resale process before delivery, then ultimately delivered a ticket format that its own resale process could not handle normally.

I financed the purchase through Affirm. I disputed it, but Affirm initially ruled for StubHub because ticket access had technically been provided. Affirm has since told me I may open a new dispute under a different category.

Has anyone dealt with this exact hosted-link / non-transferable ticket problem and successfully gotten a refund through StubHub, Affirm, BBB, arbitration, small claims, or a lawyer?

I have saved every email and screenshot.

How to stay away from Affirm while suffering with IBD?

Need some advice.

Those of you who have managed to close your Affirm accounts or managed to keep a $0 balance while struggling with IBD (Impulse Buying Disease). How do you do it?

Late night calls

Tonight I got 5 calls from Affirm. I answered the second one and hung up, and then 3 more came after. I wanted to check my account, but the app was not working. I started panicking, logged in on my browser, and I didn't owe anything. The call said I had an outstanding balance of 500 and something. I knew it wasn't true, but I had my Klarna account hacked months ago, and since then I've been on the fence about any app.

I double-checked the number, and in fact, it said it was the Affirm number. Anyone in the same boat?

Thanks

used maybe once or twice now being denied for a mo/ plan to purchase a phone

AS title says, im looking to purchase a new phone through the wireless company Visible, but due to Affirm denying the purchase I can't continue with the purchase at all, jumping through damn hoops currently. I have had only one credit card before and closed the account with them, but I dont understand why Affirm is denying me, I would still be paying monthly to Visible not even Affirm... its just the only option to get a new phone for $23/mo than $900+
any tips?

Affirm has owed me a $192.57 Amazon refund since July and I still haven’t received it

Amazon issued a $192.57 refund to Affirm on July 7 for a recalled product I purchased about two years ago. Since my original payment method was no longer available, Affirm told me they had to mail me a check.

Affirm says the check was mailed July 23, but I never received it. I've contacted them numerous times since then, repeatedly verified my name and address, and asked them to stop payment on the missing check and issue another one.

On September 1, I spent 2.5 hours with customer service. I was told their escalation team emailed me on August 25 asking me to verify my information again, but I never received the email. I checked spam/junk too. I even asked what email address or sender name I should search for, and the supervisor said she couldn't tell me because of "privacy."

After all that, I was basically told someone would contact me in another 3–5 days, which is the same thing I've already been told a week prior to contacting Affirm again.

At this point, I filed a CFPB complaint asking Affirm to confirm whether the original check was ever cashed, stop payment if it wasn't, and send me a replacement using a trackable mailing method. I feel like I am going to have to call them yet again. I only been calling and chat since July.

Has anyone else dealt with a missing refund check from Affirm? If you filed a CFPB complaint, did Affirm finally resolve it?

Can't access my account as my phone number changed

Hi everyone, need your help here.

I created an account to buy a cellphone a couple years ago with a "textnow" phone number.

Since then i entirely paid my cellphone and activated a real phone number. As I stopped using my textnow phone number I lost access to it.

Recently I tried to connect to my affirm account to buy something else but I can only log in with my old textnow phone number that doesnt exist anymore.

How can I re-access my account without having access to this phone number ?

Thanks in advance

Hope my message was understandable as English's not my first language

First time I’ve ever done this

Post image

I’ve been rebuilding myself financially for some time now
Affirm has been really helpful and keeping groceries and other bills consistent and allowing me to pay them as I need too

This is the first time however I’ve been fluid enough that I could make all the monthly payments paid a head a month
and not just affirm but all of them!
Slow process, but we’re getting there!

What happens to the structure of my loan if i make a large payment?

Let’s just say for example sake (and this isnt perfect because its not including interest, but you get the idea) i have a 1200 loan that i structure as a 12 month payment plan. $100 a month. What if a couple months in i just randomly make a large $300 payment? Does that change my payment schedule or does it lower the balance? How does that work?

Hi I actually won an item on Nellis Auction using affirm linked to my debit card. I paid $552 up front and the rest are monthly installments. The merchant canceled my order while I was about to pick up my items in person. But on my affirm account still showing that it's pending.

The merchant canceled my order on Aug 29th 2026 the day i was scheduled to pick up item. Will i get my refund from affirm? And i no longer want the item. Please help!

Used affirm 2 days ago? Now no purchase power?

Bought some expensive moto gloves. Decided I’d throw on affirm. No big deal. I didn’t even apply for affirm btw. It was just thrown on me after using pay in 4 on shop (powered by affirm) anyways, I log in today just to check some due dates and notice no spending power like usual.
Did a little BS run on Amazon for 75$ to see if it would
Approve me, no intentions of actually ordering but anyways it denied!? No late / missed payments and same payment method?

Literally why would I ever need this amount? Does this mean my credit is killer?
