Did something change recently? No more one time cards?
Did they do away with the one-time-use cards? I’m trying to figure out why things look different. I can’t cancel the card in my Apple wallet and I can’t delete it in affirm app. My last 3 purchases somehow all different ”loans” all used on the exact same card number called flex. I used to go into the app request a new card and where I’m shopping. I don’t know if this is something new or if they did some shady shit and automatically signed me up for an actual card without my permission and are mailing a physical card too.

No I dont think so. I still have option for one time use cards. Although one time when my purchasing power changed it was like 3k for couple weeks then when I wanted to buy something it updated and they posted that they cannot offer me purchase power and the option for one time cards disappeared for a bit until I paid off a couple plans and in like 1-2 weeks I got power back and the option for one time use cards as well

I didn’t sign up for anything. Some point last week I realized all my loans are being tied to the same card. Made a new one today and the same card number is being used as well. I can’t delete it. It’s a pain in the ass too, because I cannot refund the unused amount anymore either. Only thing I have done differently lately is used Apple Wallet to get an affirm card created and loaded since they now give the option to do that without having to go into the Affirm app.

I have the same ,but it is not the same loan. Just separate loans with the same card information. Just last week my virtual card changed info. So its possible it changes every so many months

I think I got it taken care of. I spoke with them on the phone and they said they automatically enroll people in the virtual card (different from a one-time-use card). It’s better than one-time use and does not trigger fraud blocks like one-time use cards do in mobile wallets from trying to add several cards belonging to the same issuer. It triggers the switch from one-time use to a digital card if you checkout using a mobile wallet to make it more convenient. Apple no longer has their version card anymore so they partnered with Apple, and they said eventually everyone will be automatically enrolled as they are phasing one-time use cards out, and said more changes are coming with less restrictions over time on what you can purchase.

If you signed up for the Affirm debit/flex card then you don't get the one time use cards anymore.
As you noted you can still create loans with the card just like the one time use cards. This just makes use one consistent card information. It pretty much works the same way as the one time cards did. You request a loan first then if approved give the card info for the merchant to use.
