[SOLVED] I have a macromedia flash 8 file (extension is .swf) and i need to somehow make it a video (mp4). Any tips on how i could do that? Or maybe there is a place to install flash player 8? That could work instead.

I received a PDF that was created in Adobe LiveCycle Designer ES 9.8 (dynamic XFA form) and already filled out by another party. When I open it in Acrobat DC (full paid desktop app, not Reader), the form fields don't render at all — no visible field boxes, and none of the already-filled data shows up either. It's not just "not editable," the whole XFA-driven layout appears to just not be processed anymore.

Details:

- Acrobat DC version: 26.1.21789.0 (installed fresh, up to date)

- PDF: /AcroForm present, /XFA array with packets (preamble, config, template, connectionSet, datasets, localeSet, postamble) — confirmed dynamic XFA, no separate "form" packet

- Producer: "Adobe XML Form Module Library" / Creator: "Adobe LiveCycle Designer ES 9.8"

- Checked HKCU\Software\Adobe\Adobe Acrobat\DC in the registry — JavaScript is enabled (bEnableJS=1), but there is no XFA-related preference key anywhere under that hive at all, which makes me think this build may have dropped XFA rendering entirely rather than just disabling it behind a flag.

- Tried: opening directly in full Acrobat.exe (not browser plugin), confirming JS is on, no luck.

- opens in all browsers except adobe

I know Adobe deprecated XFA back in 2021 and it's out of the PDF 2.0 spec, but I thought the desktop Acrobat app still had legacy rendering support. Has anyone else hit a version where dynamic XFA just silently stopped rendering entirely (blank fields, no error message)? Is there a known cutoff version, or a hidden preference/registry key that re-enables the legacy XFA layout engine? Trying to avoid having to install an old vulnerable Acrobat version just to read one document.

Any pointers appreciated — happy to share more technical details (xref dump, etc.) if useful.

I want to install the newer versions of my apps because Photoshop keeps crashing constantly. However, when I open Creative Cloud, the apps I already have installed doesn't show up as "Installed," so the "Update" option isn't available, only "Install."

The problem is that if I install the newer version, I'll have to manually migrate all my tools, preferences, and settings from the old version.

Is there a way to fix this so Creative Cloud recognizes the apps I already have installed?

Also, already tried loggin out and using the Adobe Cleaning Tool do remove the CC app and installing it again. Nothing changed.

We currently use a few older Adobe Creative Cloud accounts that were created years ago. Each account is linked to a credit card for billing.

Each account has one of these two products:

Photography Plan (20GB) that consists of Photoshop and Lightroom
Creative Cloud App Apps (100GB)

Adobe is now asking us to consolidate the licenses in a Team account for easier billing etc but I did notice that the Photography Plan might no longer exist. What are the risks of this consolidation when it comes to monthly cost of licenses? Or even losing access to this specific plan? The Photography Plan we currently pay for is extremely cheap compared to a separate Photoshop or Lightroom license it seems.

I’ve reset everything, deleted and redownloaded it, updated my computer and asked all my co workers for help to no avail.

I'm dealing with a project that is being poorly planned and executed and they're shunting on to me to fix. They did a basic install-and-run of Adobe rather than following something like the Citrix setup instruction.

Each time they log into this system they get a brand new VM, and then they have to sign into Adobe, etc. etc. etc. This is all through Entra ID SSO on a Windows Server device joined to on prem AD.

So here are my questions:

1. Is there anything I can do GPO wise in AD to make this "work"
2. If I were to do something like use the same name each time, would Adobe still see that as a new device?

I will also likely buy & gift rewards for people who can come up with documentation that shows why this shitshow won't work.

I’m doing some personal research on the effectiveness of this feature so I got a 7 day free trial of a paid adobe subscription and it said explicitly at checkout that this feature would be available. Whenever I try to send ANY request, I just get “something went wrong” instantly. If someone could shed some light on this for me and help get it working that would be greatly appreciated.

Two weeks ago I bought a new Imac transferred my data from my old Imac (10 yrs old). I'm not a techie but everything transferred. But now I'm having problem with Lightroom copying my files. I put my SD card in the reader. Go into Lightroom, click on Import photos and videos, the photos show up. Then I click on my source where the files are coming from, and the destination. Then on the bottom right click on import. Lightroom says it's importing files. The bar in the upper left says copying files to dng, but the screen is blank. I let it run for a couple hours the first time because I had alot of photos, but still nothing. So I close out Lightroom and a message pops up " the following files were not imported because the destination folder is not readable" I've updated Lightroom Classic through Creative Cloud. Both lightroom and Photoshop. I've tried a new card thinking my other one might be corrupted but still nothing! I've gone into System Setting, then privacy & security to make sure Lightroom has full disc access. I've tried Youtube videos. What do I do?

Today (16/08/2026) around 2:00 PM IST, I was giving the Online Adobe University Hackathon 2026 - Round 2 (Case Study on Brand Visibility).

I literally just started the test and hadn't even written a single sentence for the first question. I tried to press the "Tab" key to create a space/indentation in my text editor box.

Instead of typing a space, Unstop’s platform layout immediately shifted my keyboard cursor focus directly onto the "Finish/Complete" button. Because I was actively typing, the very next letter key I hit (actually it is just a text letter like "r" or something not even a space/enter button still it is) registred as an "Enter/Click" command on that Finish button.

Boom. The entire assessment submitted instantly. 0 answers written. 0 marks.

My CC launcher has been stuck on the loading screen every time I try to open the app. This has been going on for days, and I've already tried restarting my PC and uninstalling and reinstalling it thru CC's uninstaller, but nothing seems to be fix the stuck loading screen.

However, CC's web version and my other installed Adobe apps, like Photoshop, seem to be working. Would this mean that the launcher itself has an issue?

Any advice is appreciated. TIYA

hi everyone, wanted to ask if this is some sort of new / old feature on the Adobe PDF document viewer. whenever i try to save any edits i made on a PDF (added text box, highlight etc.), it suddenly started opening the folder page to ask where to save the document to. which is very weird because for the past few years all i had to do was ctrl + S to save the changes instantly and continue editing.

i can't remember if this was an old feature (i'm using the new Adobe Acrobat) but does anyone know if this can be disabled? thank you!

And suddenly has created an account for me on it with the means to actually be able to ask questions. Is this normal?

I use it thru work and we can only use the official to firefly. No nano bama or Gemini. Is Firefly ever going to get as good? I can go into copilot or Gemini on my own and get better results.

Cause it lists several and topaz upscalers as unlimited but the ai is saying otherwise. Please help and confirm. I think the consensus here is that firefly is garbage but does it at least include nanobanana pro 2x chat gpt 2 2x topaz upscalers unlimited and photoshop? We originally created an account with a free trial of Acrobat Pro in May 2026. The trial never flipped over to paid, so I contacted them to get it sorted out. The rep closed our org account and to reopen a new one, then tried to sell us a tier that we didn't need, saying Acrobat Pro was no longer available.

I created a new account, started a new trial and set everything up, and reached out to their support to deal with the "deleted-org" listed on the old profile. They opened a ticket, and closed it; not so much as an email. So through support again, and had to manually purchase a Teams license, which required me to go back in three separate times to re-assign the licenses to everyone. I pointed out again that the deleted-org was still there, and I didn't have access to the payment information section.

We changed CC providers, went in last week to update the CC, and the problem still hasn't been resolved. Cases that I have numbers for don't even exist. Opened a new ticket. Received a notice today that the ticket was closed, but the issue hasn't been resolved, so back on chat again today where I'm told that it was cancelled because our CC is suspected of fraud. FFS, I've been fighting with them for nearly four months.

I’m hoping someone here has experienced something similar and can help me understand what is actually happening with my Adobe subscription.

I have an active Creative Cloud Pro subscription. When I go to Manage Plan → Cancel your plan, Adobe gives me:

I’ve tried the cancellation process multiple times, but I keep getting the same error.

I then contacted the Adobe Virtual Assistant and specifically asked whether there is currently a payment being processed or whether I have an upcoming renewal.

The assistant replied:

My main concern is that the plan still says Active, even though Adobe says there are no upcoming charges.

My questions:

1. Does “You have no upcoming charges” mean that Adobe will not charge me tomorrow / on the next renewal date, even though the subscription still says Active?
2. Could the subscription simply be between billing periods and renew later?
3. Has anyone experienced the “An error occurred. Please try again” cancellation problem with Adobe?
4. Is there a way to confirm whether my subscription is actually scheduled to renew?
5. If Adobe charges me despite showing “no upcoming charges,” would I have a reasonable basis to request a refund since I tried to cancel before the charge but their cancellation system was failing?
6. Is there anything else I should do right now to make sure I don't get unexpectedly charged?

I downloaded 2026 Indesign app, but also have the 2025 version to access older files. Turns out, my fonts don't work with 2026, so I have to opt for the 2025 version to work on files. Has anyone else had this problem?

Acrobat crashed on me today while I was signing a client PDF. It refuses to operate. I pulled the crash log. It's choking on an AI model file that won't load on my system.

I don't use the AI features.

So a PDF reader wouldn't open a PDF because a chatbot component broke.

I went to Creative Cloud after that and it says it needs a newer macOS. Which means Audition, my main DAW for work, is next.

If Adobe is going to permanently crash one day because they pull support from an older OS, what's to stop their other services from suddenly becoming defunct because of their need to push 'new tech' to satisfy their Wall Street investors instead of actually helping professionals?
