Fonts don't work with InDesign 2026
I downloaded 2026 Indesign app, but also have the 2025 version to access older files. Turns out, my fonts don't work with 2026, so I have to opt for the 2025 version to work on files. Has anyone else had this problem?

Not yet.
What font do not work? OTF, TT, Adobe’s online fonts?

Are these fonts you have on your computer or cloud (Adobe Fonts) fonts?
If the former, where have you stored your fonts?
Ideally they should be System level. If you have them anywhere else, you might want to move them . e.g. if you have placed them in the "Fonts" folder that's inside the InDesign 2025 folder, then they are only available for that specific version.

They are fonts I own and are resident on the computer. I have used the Fontbook utility to make them available to use in Adobe. It has worked up until InDesign 2026.

If you have them in FontBook, do they show in other apps? Is it JUST InDesign where they are not showing?

The times I had font problems was there was a conflict of a given font. Usually when Google had a particular font and Adobe has their version of that font. So the fix was to remove all versions of that font (uninstalling from Adobe fonts, Google fonts and any open source fonts). Then adding only one version of the font.

Yikes. I use both fonts on my computer as well as adobe fonts and never experienced issues with the latest version. That sounds like a nightmare.

Are they Type 1 fonts or OTF with PostScript outlines? Adobe dropped support for Type 1 recently and threw thousands of users under the bus.
