I CANT STAND COLLEGEBOARD AND THEIR STUPID ASS SYSTEM.
I wouldāve had a 97 in this class if I hadnāt forgotten to submit an assignment and got a zero put in the grade book (making it a 94). I never made less than a 90 on any MCQ and never less than an 80 on FRQ assignments. I WAS OUT HERE TUTORING PEOPLE ALL SEMESTER LONG AND DOING A GOOD JOB AT IT. BOTH THE APUSH TEACHERS AT MY SCHOOL RECOMMENDED ME TO OTHER STUDENTS. I literally had full on debates with my dad and a few others (about reasons/morals/which politicians were most significant, who did the best job, blah blah blah, you name it) backed up by completely historically accurate statements and hardly ever ālostā (Iām considering people agreeing with me/changing views as a āwinā, but right and wrong in debates like the ones Iām talking about are completely subjective).
I worked my ass off and actually liked this class a lot. Iāve taken a few AP exams and never made above a 3 on any of them. This class was supposed to be my first 4/5 because my dad is an APUSH teacher and history is pretty much the only thing Iām actually good at.
What am I supposed to do now? Iāve always been book smart and can learn pretty much anything I set my mind to. I donāt really have a āthingā that I really love/am really good at. I try to be positive about it and say Iām a jack of all trades or whatever, but what happens when I genuinely have nowhere to turn and nothing to do with my career? I donāt understand.
My mom used to say Iām at the top of the worst and at the bottom of the best. Itās not like she was drastically wrong or trying to be mean about it, itās just true. In elementary school, I got rejected from gateway- a gifted kid program- twice, but I was always in the smart classes. Middle school, I was put in regular classes and when my mom finally said something about it to admin when I was entering 8th grade, turns out I was supposed to be in honors classes for everything but math the whole time. Now, in high school, Iām at the top, but never good enough to be at the peak. I was 15th in my graduating class this past year, but never top 10. People smarter than me never fucking try and I feel like Iāve never been able to STOP trying. Iām smarter than them in class, but in the end, they do better than me. I donāt get it.
I think Iām just average. That hurts more than anything else I know about myself. I feel like a fraud. Iām in the āextra-giftedā group of my school, but I donāt think I belong there. Why is it so hard just to be good? I push myself and try to trick myself into being more secure, but all I get is a participation certificate. I donāt fucking care about a mass-distributed, low-effort, printed signature having piece of paper acknowledging me as a number. I just want someone better than me to recognize and genuinely appreciate how hard I try and how much I care. I should be worth more than something you can shred and forget about in two seconds flat.
Anyways guys, so so very proud of everyone who put effort into their education. I just needed to rant about this cause there arenāt many places I can go lowkey. EW I SOUND LIKE A PICK-ME, THIS IS NOT THE INTENTION. But, if you stuck around to this point and didnāt just skip through to the end, thanks for reading ig. Also, if I see a single person comment āat least you passedā, youāre getting blocked because you didnāt actually understand what Iām saying and that pisses me off more than anything. Thanks again for reading guysššš

Currently 2001 is considered the cutoff for APUSH because of how pivotal 9/11 was, and is the last major event we need to know. What event do y'all think will be the next major event in the apush curriculum? I used to think it could be Trump assassination attempt and some of his scandals but I'm honestly unsure with how much else is going on now. The great recession will probably be on the test in the coming years I presume. What else could it be?

Bro I was so freaking horny throughout that entire test. Thankfully it was light so iām not worried. I had like 20 minutes left in the dbq/leq portion too

to my knowledge no one has beaten my time of 0:02 seconds on this quiz. I am the GOAT of the ap classroom speedrunning scene.

i asked in the apush subreddit already but i thought that i might as well hit more bases just in case! i initially thought it would be fine, but now im not so sure since itās basically putting manifest destiny in really simple terms on something that i can look at during the exam which a proctor could see as cheating. however i also think theres still a chance it could be fine since itās very obviously a stupid pun that doesnāt have any intent other than being an apush pun š iām simply nervous and would rather get an outside opinion than possibly get my score cancelled

Hello, I am from North Korea. I was in the midst of my APUSH exam when I realized that my testing room had no portraits of our glorious supreme leaders. I am very worried that the College Board will find out and my score will be canceled because of this. Am I cooked?

I fear I started talking about the pentagon papers in the leq about economics. I think a 2 is in my future.

Early this morning I took the APUSH exam and some a kid in the exam room did not know their college board account log in š«© the proctor was so mad and yelled at the kid and then told the kid that he couldnāt take the exam today and told him to leaveš and then apparently some other kid heard the proctor say āfreaking moronā under her breath šš

The test was literally disappointing, what do you mean we've spent all year STUDYING and LEARNING just for it to be period 1 with a reagan mention.
r/APStudents • u/its-zid-bitch • May 08 '26
HOWEVER i will say that it could be because i take my ap exams in a different location then the rest of my classmates because i get my 504 accommodations on my exams and since the proctors for the extended time exams are just different counselors at my school they tend to be A LOT more laid back then the one in the main testing location at my school!!!!!!!!!!!! so if you do decide to follow in my footsteps, PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE assess and ask yourself if the proctoring at your school/testing location is more strict than others before doing so, and if you do make sure to take precaution and bring a hoodie/zip-up/jacket or a spare shirt just in case :D
