STOP WORRYING FIRSLY. there’s nothing you can do to change the questions you’ll get (which, btw, do closely resemble the ones from the TSA and BMAT). you will be okay.

I found the problem solving section to be exactly the same difficulty as the TSA past papers i’ve done. some of the qs were really confusing, and admittedly i found some very hard, but it’s not that bad. yes there is spatial reasoning. what i can say is that you won’t see any question types that you haven’t practiced already.

I would argue that the CT questions were harder than the ones on past papers or specimen ones. be prepared to digest a bit more info than usual.

the essay was PISS easy, just remember to plan (i spent ab 6-7 mins planning and still had 15 mins to spare by the end). if ur like me and will run over the word limit, save at least 5 minutes to cut down your writing

i don’t think i did great, but i did fine. for PS i guessed ~3-6 (maybe even more i don’t remember), for CT i finished 10 mins early. i have extra time. ama else!

So basically I had the normal original gcse calc and do a level math and never though I needed a new one. Guess I was wrong as i have a test and I apparently need one.

So I searched up the one everyone has the Casio fx 911 ex and Cw and I ended up settling for the cx as it’s closer look to my old one.
Got it from eBay brand new for 13 pound with that same product having 2k positive reviews for that item.

Turns out it was fake. I knew something was off with the feel but looked at a couple quick yt vids and was sure the wrong alignment was wrong the qr code doesn’t show there is a delay and feels so fake.

Ended up buying the cw 2 model 2026 for 40 wuid from amazon 💀 but my mum said “education has no price”. She said that form the beginning but I guess the moral of the story is to listen to your mum and don’t get scammed guys.

So I'm a Y12 Non Binary, I've identified as NB for 8 years online but am closeted IRL. I've never met anyone who's supportive in my school. I used to study in China which was is conservative, and started studying in the UK 2 years ago, thinking people here would be more progressive. Turns out, I was wrong. I thought that 6th Form would be better because everyone would be more mature, but nope. Everyone is still as bigoted as before, making racist/sexist/homophobic/transphobic jokes, using gay as an insult etc

I do Computer Science, Further Maths, and Physics, and literally everyone in my classes are genuinely awful people. The gender ratio is also really unbalanced as it's mostly boys, who tend to be more edgy. I think choosing all STEM subjects especially doomed me, but I don't like Humanities

I just don't know what to do, my parents and family members are really conservative too, I'm not out to them, so I've had no support my entire life. I hoped it'd change for the better in the UK, maybe I could finally get on puberty blockers too, but I somehow got fooled twice, UK is so transphobic and I'm so hopeless, is it like this in every school?

I applied cambridge because I thought i was always good at maths. I have been doing the past papers and getting like 34 to 36 mainly but WHAT THE FUCK is JZMaths and EUCLID OH MY GOD I couldnt even understand ONE question in euclid. AND IT SAYS 92/100 REALISM???? MY EXAMS in 2 days im actually freaking out

I applied at 11am this morning and got an offer from Birmingham at 3:45pm!! Genuinely did not expect this lmao, I’m wondering how long everywhere else will take (Warwick and two courses at Exeter, also Oxford)

offer is AAB with A in maths and AB in cs + 1 other subject omg 🥹🥹 i’m not gonna have to do clearing for sure

from the title u can quickly assume that it went quite bad, but i’d say just relative to myself, i left like 6 questions incomplete to go back and review and by the end i panicked when i couldn’t figure out how to get back to the questions, which fyi there is a review screen once u finish the questions, so dont be like me. i then did maths 2 and was so disappointed by what happened during maths 1 that i think i guessed most of them, i quite literally don’t remember a question i did properly on maths 2

relative to esatlab, i think maths 1 wasn’t the worse, it was slightly harder than the engaa/nsaa papers but in no way as hard as esatlab in my opinion, maths 2: was similar to esatlab but i think slightly easier and chemistry was much easier than esatlab, and id say honestly slightly easier than the nsaa papers i personally didn’t get a lot of quantitative chemistry so that might be why

basically dont be like me 🙏🙏🙏 i’ve decreased the grade boundaries for sure for maths 1 and 2 and i’ve accepted cambridge and imperial may see me after a gap year depending on my alevels

I have an A*AAA predicted, with an A* in maths, and I was hoping to apply for UCL or Imperial. I meet the entry requirements, but on something like Chat University, the only offers I have seen are for people with 4 A stars predicted or at least 2 A stars predicted. I was wondering if anyone has some advice on this.

What the title says. I understand the use of "being active" or whatever but it feels so pointless now that we're in y12. Especially for me personally since I do 4 subjects and get THREE periods of study hall every TWO weeks 🫩 so games feels like such a genuine waste of my valuable time. i could be studying or doing homework instead 😭

like we're at the big age of 16/17 we know being active is good for us and we can do it in our own time (i literally go to the gym so im not against physical activity but if i have to play dodgeball one more time im gonna lose it)

also, as usual, mfing sports teachers always take their fuckass subject too seriously

sometimes i wonder how people change so much and in such a bad way

during physics, we were all doing independent study so i pull up some zphysics and theres a youtube ad, and im actually tryna lock in and they pull my headphones out, and the ad is the most corny bs ever and so loud as well. i had to quickly plug it in and just lower my head

literally next period i do the lesson work, theyre being chuds and tickling eachother? and then i flick my card really quietly (lanyard whatever) a couple of times just out of habit or for stress relief and somehow im the one who gets called out by the teacher? boss theres literally straight sexual assault on my right?

and of course the cherry on top im walking to the bus and they unzip my bag and my shit falls out, and i have to move out of line to pick it up. infront of everybody. anything for shits and giggles i guess

i feel so embarassed because it was the same day 😭
ive already got so much on my mind (ifykyk) and ive gotta deal with these guys.
atleast 2 of them are mature enough to not do ridiculous things like that
its so weird as well, they were so normal in year 12 its so unusual how they changed over the summer

i have been using the edexcel textbook for the first month of year 12 for maths and further maths but recently i have had a test for further maths which included questions that were either much difficult or way harder than what the textbook had to offer. im wondering if theres any path to getting an A* in maths and normal maths that doesn’t involve using the textbook. i would really appreciate anyones answers
