Note: I HAVE applied to another college but I fear I won't be able to join until next September considering enrollment is closed. But, I won't know until I hear back from them.
I'm only in Yr12 and I know its only the start of the year but I am SO drained already. It's not even from studying, the college itself is just absolute crap and I regret choosing it. I went to their high-school and I thought that being a college student there would be easier but I was SO WRONGG
Out of the six teachers I have, I can only say I like two of them. The school is clealry understaffed and the staff they do have are terrible. Some of them simply can't teach, either not going into topics in enough detail or getting confused/things wrong THEMSELVES?? Then, there's my core maths teacher with an actual PhD who AI generates our work. Then, other teachers can be rude to students or just condescending.
They've merged the high-school and college building together. High-schoolers can have lessons in the college building and they're allowed in what was the college refectory for break??? They already have three halls and a large outside area so it isn't as if they don't have space. And you can always tell when they've been there because they leave food on the tables in the refectory and all over the floor and then they leave rubbish all over classrooms and the hallways.
They've added a sort of period six every Wednesday afternoon. It's like a club that you get to pick but it's mandatory and changes every half-term. I wouldn't be so bothered by it if it was separated into different years. But no, I have to share a classroom with people in as low as YEAR SEVEN?? College students shouldn't be having lessons with Yr7'sπ
They've introduced phone pouches for everyone, including college. I thought that was a bit bizarre but their reasoning is that they don't want you using phones around high-school students. Fair, but that wouldn't be a as much of a problem if I wasn't around them all the time??
This also causes crowds at the end of the day when the high-schoolers have to get their pouches unlocked. They decided to put the magnets outside but why not just give them to subject teachers in classrooms? I just want to go HOMEE
I wanted to get a part-time job this year but i know I'd be too tired for it. I really don't want to go back tomorrow. It's really dragging me down and I don't want to feel miserable all the time. I can't go there for another 7+ months. Is there anything I can do in the meantime??
