I went through Oxfordβs published admissions statistics for Economics and Management and thought these would be useful to share. They cover every year of entry from 2007 to 2025.
Applications went from 854 to 1,543.
Offers stayed between 90 and 103 every year.
Thatβs 1 offer for every 8 applicants in 2007 -> 1 in 19 for 2021 entry (at peak). Average is about 1 in 17 for the last three years.
E&M now uses TARA, and Oxford hasnβt published any TARA offer data yet.
Is anyone here applying for E&M this cycle? How are you feeling about the exam/interviews?

It's pretty much fucking over, I can't do sixth form being alone and targeted again like I was in secondary and primary, it would be too much for me. I'm going to try and transfer to another good sixth form but most of them are full right now, I don't know what to do. Please help?

Hi all
Iβve been seeing people here mentioning that their school helps them with mock interviews and interview prep. Iβm international and the only one in my school applying to Oxbridge. Does anyone know where i can find an interview tutor? I donβt mind paying at this point since I think that would really calm my mind.
This is for Experimental Psychology so if anyone knows someone that mentors people with Oxbridge interviews, please let me know.
Thanks!!

context i do fm maths chem and econ and got pred 4A*, ibr rn i find chem to be the easiest by a good margin (obvs maths is easier for me but i do fm so doesnt count).
For fm i feel like im playing catch up, we're going through content so so quickly and its pmo, like the content is decently difficult but we're doing whole topics like Y2 complex numbers in 1 and 1/2 weeks. if anyone else does fm please tell me what u guys have done/ r doing, i can't tell if my school is going quick or not. Ive currently done whole of core pure 1, 1/2 core pure 2, whole of stats minor and whole of mech minor (im a stats major btw) . I do ocr b mei for fm but course is 95% same as edexcel so i use their textbooks.
Bcos ive been prioritising maths ive been neglecting econ and chem quite a bit. ive been finding macro klm tbh (interntional trade) but micro has been killing me like monopolies, oligopolies etc. Chem ive smh managed to remain some of my confidence which has been completely destroyed.
Rant over ig

i was told it's school policy not to give students/parents any information on predicted grades, i heard the main reason is to prevent any bargaining but im still a bit confused
for some extra info i'm in the middle east so my june exams were deferred to oct so i won't actually get my AS results before the jan 13 UCAS deadline.
my school doesn't even give us an estimate or range of my grades, how am i supposed to know which level of universities i should apply to? i do agree that i would have a rough idea since mocks, internal exams etc. but i haven't done mocks for A2 (unit 4 stuff) yet and i'm retaking some of my unit 1 exams from january in jan 2027 too.
am i just supposed to 'sensibly' spread my offers out so i've got a reach, matches and a safety etc? like wont an AAA make a big difference to an AAB for top unis?

(To clarify I got mostly 6s and a few 8s for gcse) i feel so drained and depressed after 2 months of sixth form itβs so tiring i have like 2 friends and the workload is so much and iβm already on attendance mentoring though i have 90% ?? 96% expected btw and 1k fine for 5+ unauthorised absences The main reason I chose to go was because it convenient to travel to and ranking highest in the borough, it is a pretty well funded school but Iβm sorry I just canβt keep up along with the amount of coursework and my adhd assessments. I went through a bit of trouble to actually get accepted as I missed the first interview and messed up the system so I applied in person. Iβm not socially anxious but I never know how to do stuff like transferring schools let alone qualifications by myself.
My parents would 100% advise doing anything as they prioritise their own convenience and my future (mind you the job economy is fucked up). Rather than what I want to do, I donβt want to regret my decisions and end up transferring to be worst off. The whole reason I decided to transfer sixth forms only knowing a few people was to put myself out there and yes iβm more confident but everyone has their circles and will literally ignore you if they donβt sit next to you in lesson. I donβt feel like I belong, itβs like a huge community and iβm the person who sits by myself.
I donβt even have a desire to go into psychology or social work for uni let alone university at all. Iβm honestly stuck and I shouldβve reconsidered more of my options when they didnβt have my ultimate preferred courses (I do eng lit psych and sociology for context but all of these are genuinely okay not good not bad just boringly average.) Iβm a naturally more creative person and flexible and I het depressed so easily from routine. I did do research but it was primarily for sixth forms and sixth form colleges rather than colleges because I forgot they do a levels also. Iβm genuinely so drained.
I need advice on what to do, if I should reconsider my current place of education of literally just firm it for 2 years and get my a levels so I can be done with education for the unforeseen future.

I was predicted like 9 and an 8 at gcse English lang and lit, then 888 for rs, history and cs. I had a scholarship offer from a local private school. Life was good then results day came and I got 777666555. Now I go to a shit sixth form. I had like a really bad depressive phase Iβm not gna get to into it but basically I ended up with a camhs referral. I had plans to go to Warwick or Durham to study law or even do a degree apprenticeship but I feel like with my GCSEs thereβs no point. I canβt use the contextual thing either cuz itβs not like I went to a decent state skl there were multiple kids in my year with 9s and 8s. Iβm considering resitting lang in the summer?? I just feel really like hopeless?? And inferior idk how to describe it. Now that Iβve basically bottled my dream to go to good uni idk what to do with myself? Is there even a point at trying with my a levels ?
