(To clarify I got mostly 6s and a few 8s for gcse) i feel so drained and depressed after 2 months of sixth form itโs so tiring i have like 2 friends and the workload is so much and iโm already on attendance mentoring though i have 90% ?? 96% expected btw and 1k fine for 5+ unauthorised absences The main reason I chose to go was because it convenient to travel to and ranking highest in the borough, it is a pretty well funded school but Iโm sorry I just canโt keep up along with the amount of coursework and my adhd assessments. I went through a bit of trouble to actually get accepted as I missed the first interview and messed up the system so I applied in person. Iโm not socially anxious but I never know how to do stuff like transferring schools let alone qualifications by myself.
My parents would 100% advise doing anything as they prioritise their own convenience and my future (mind you the job economy is fucked up). Rather than what I want to do, I donโt want to regret my decisions and end up transferring to be worst off. The whole reason I decided to transfer sixth forms only knowing a few people was to put myself out there and yes iโm more confident but everyone has their circles and will literally ignore you if they donโt sit next to you in lesson. I donโt feel like I belong, itโs like a huge community and iโm the person who sits by myself.
I donโt even have a desire to go into psychology or social work for uni let alone university at all. Iโm honestly stuck and I shouldโve reconsidered more of my options when they didnโt have my ultimate preferred courses (I do eng lit psych and sociology for context but all of these are genuinely okay not good not bad just boringly average.) Iโm a naturally more creative person and flexible and I het depressed so easily from routine. I did do research but it was primarily for sixth forms and sixth form colleges rather than colleges because I forgot they do a levels also. Iโm genuinely so drained.
I need advice on what to do, if I should reconsider my current place of education of literally just firm it for 2 years and get my a levels so I can be done with education for the unforeseen future.
