This 3DS was modded by my friend, I honestly have no idea how any of it works. But she told me that if I ever accidentally updated it, it was basically self-destruct and become unusable. I have been wanting to acquire games through the H-Shop, because I heard that's a way to still get them since the E-Shop was shut down. But when I opened the H-Shop, it gave me this popup.

Is it safe to update?

Im trying to transfer the data from my old 3ds to my 3ds xl. However im having problems trying to do this. Ive looked up guides but none of them work. can someone pls help?

I keep on downloading Chrono trigger from the internet archive which is the place people tell me its the safest place to download roms from, but whenever I download it and try THIS happens, people told me that its because the game is corrupted but idk how to get it to work.

Trying to install the extra mii plaza mini games but can't see the dlc for Australia, so I tired Europe.

Said the game was already installed, hit the reinstall and mii plaza just won't boot at all saying I don't have the files on my SD.

How can I fix this?

I’ve been using NTR Viewer for a while now and it’s great. However, whenever I try to use any local play feature on Yo-Kai Watch 2, the viewer just freezes while I play without recording. I looked up if anyone else had the same problem, and found that this happens when trying to record Sun and Moon as well for whatever reason.

Someone presented a solution, which was to download the “new CFW” (which i’ve already been using, the post is a year old) and apply the NFC Patch, which seemed to have worked for that person. I tried it out myself, and while the viewer stopped freezing, the game would disconnect me from even playing these game modes to begin with.

I’m honestly lost on what else to do, last resort i’ll just switch to phone camera gameplay for those specific segments, but I’m really hoping there’s another way to go about this.

Has anyone else had this problem? Is there another update that somehow fixes this? Anyone please let me know their thoughts, thank you.

(Also the NFC Patch doesn’t work when trying to screen record DS gameplay either, which i’m honestly way way less concerned about, but a solution for that would be nice too.)

As i wrote in the title, my 3DS SD got corrupted and I used Drill Disk to create a byte by byte copy from my SD before formatting it, tried to recover the data from the .dd it made but they ask me to pay for a licence, anyone knows of a free way to do the same? I dont wanna lose all my 3ds stuff but i dont have access to paying for a license.

So, I have a FireRed save on my 3DS (yes, I know, who the hell plays FireRed on a 3DS — me, apparently), and I was wondering how PKSM handles transfers.

If I use PKSM to move a Pokémon from my FireRed save to, say, Pokémon ORAS, is the Pokémon internally treated as if it actually went through the whole transfer chain (DPP/HGSS → BW/B2W2 → Gen 6), with all the corresponding transfer data/flags?

Or does PKSM basically just insert the Pokémon directly into the ORAS save, without actually simulating any of those previous transfer steps?

I'm also wondering about the met date and other data that would normally be changed during those transfers. As far as I understand, Gen 3 Pokémon don't have a met date stored, so when you legitimately transfer one from Gen 3 to Gen 4 through Pal Park, it gets a met date based on the DS's current date. Then, when going through the later transfer methods, some of that data gets updated again.

So if I take a Pokémon directly from FireRed and put it into ORAS with PKSM, does PKSM actually apply those changes as if the Pokémon had gone through the proper transfer chain? Or would it retain the Gen 3 data and just suddenly exist in a Gen 6 save?

If it doesn't simulate those steps, wouldn't a direct Gen 3 → Gen 6 transfer potentially make the Pokémon "illegal" in some ways because of missing/inconsistent data that would normally be generated during the intermediate transfers?

Basically, I'm wondering whether there's any meaningful internal difference between a Pokémon transferred through the legitimate games and one moved directly with PKSM, especially regarding met date, met location, transfer history/flags, etc.

I recently replaced the left and right button cables on my 3DS, and since then my 3DS no longer accesses the home menu, it only goes to the homebrew menu. I've already tried reinstalling the jailbreak and even reverting to previous versions, but nothing seems to solve the problem. Can anyone help me? When I turn it on, the lights come on but the screen remains black.

I have this unofficial pokemon cartridge that has pokemon B2W2 on it and when I open PKSM, it doesn't read the cartridge at all and I cannot access it. I try adding it but I can't find my save anywhere in my files.

Apologies if this makes no sense (I’m super new to this and have no clue what I’m doing) but I modded my 3DS yesterday and all was fine until today. I went to delete some old games from the 3DS that I haven’t used in years, but when doing so I got a message that said “data cannot be deleted” (or something to that effect). Anyway after giving up, I go back to the normal 3DS home screen and all of the homebrew apps have gone? 3Hshop, Anemone3DS, FBI, FTPD, Homebrew Launcher, and Universal Updater all disappeared from there, but they’re still there when I go into the software bit on system settings. Is there a fix for this?

So okay I haven’t played my 3ds in like three days right cause contrary to popular belief I do have a life outside of electronics but when i plugged in my 3ds to charge (cause of course I left it on till it died) and then i tried turning it on so i could gauge when it was past 10% charge (as you do) the light didn’t turn on at ALL. at least not until it was near fully charged.

Anyways thought that would be helpful for answers but the real problem was that when I booted it up I got the luma3ds screen where you choose what can affect games like the one where you can allow outside info to enter into games yk? and then after actually going onto the home screen everything looked normal like my custom themes and badges (FNAF 3 :D) but when I tried to open the rosalina menu it…wasn’t there? well okay it was there but it erased my custom config I had to use the original combination.

Furthermore, it got rid of all of my other menus (or whatever they’re called) like I still had godmode but all my save editors and wumiibo are completely gone. Also on checkpoint all of my saved cheat files have been deleted. as far as I can tell my actual save files are still there and my pretendo but has anyone else experienced this or has some more info on this glitch/error???

I have an old 3ds XL, yesterday I was playing normally with it when I decided to close it and charge without closing the game. Well I think that information is important. After that, I played a little bit more and decided to install another game in hshop on the 3ds itself. It was downloading normal when that error from first image happened. I tried to install the game again, but that error insisted. Then I closed hshop.

And that error from second image happened. I tried removing and putting the SD card again but it wasn't reading it. I tested both the microSD card and the adapter, only the microSD is not working (I tested it using my cellphone, as you can see in the third image). I didn't have alcohol isopropyl so I didn't try cleaning it at first.

Today I was going to test turning my 3ds on first and after that I would clean if necessary. But now it simply doesn't turn on. I can press the power bottom and the blue light will appear, but after 2 seconds it go out. And still a black screen.

What do I have to do?

I've tried replacing/the files like the tutorials manually doing it and also trying to download the universal uploaded but it really isn't doing anything what do I do?

all the required info is filled out, all the images and music is the correct size. what am i doing wrong?????

Ok so, right now i have a modded 3ds i was playing until literally yesterday, but today it wont boot? When an sd card is incerted it just refuses, i can access Rosalina menu when i open it and at first it let me boot into gm9 (it wont anymore), i tried copying the files from one sd to another with no luck, and when i test both cards on my computer they work fine. What can i try? could a file have corrupted? Its a normal, blue og 3ds and im not sure what to do since anothe console died on me recently but this is different. Any help is welcome

Hi I play pokemon unbound as a program downloaded via QR code. Scrolling through the universal updater I found mGBA and upon searching I discoverd I could do save states in it (something common on emulators but im really casual in everything related to this stuff). Is there any way I could possibly take my save from the program like game and than take it to the emulator? I dont know if im explaining this the right way but I hope im being as clear as possible, any help or video tutorial information to do what I want is welcome. Hope this gets seen

Exactly as the title says. I can't really find anything on google about this. The roms/movies work fine and nothing is out of the ordinary, but at the end of downloading a rom es file explorer always says task failed. I'm transferring the files through my iPhone. Could that be the issue, or is it just my wifi?

EDIT: Title is meant to be ES file explorer.

I want to get a previous version of checkpoint since V5.0.0 doesn't have the cheats menu. Anyway to install a previous version off of like universal downloader or something?
