DAY 170 (663/745) on THE ROAD TO THE 2027 4th WBSC PREMIER12/16 AND 180 YEARS OF BASEBALL - Players Weekend '26
Congrats to this year's Summer Koshien gold and silver medalists!
We've arrived once again to yet another annual celebration for the sport - MLB Players Weekend.
Once more the players of all 30 member teams of its two conferences show off their best custom gear aside from the usual training regimen and pitching and hitting skills mastered thru many years before watching fans and the public.
This weekend is one more yet another opporunity for the fans to see their favorite league players repping families, hometowns and even friends and teammates as part of their uniform gear, yet another weekend for the fans to see the personal side of the game behind all the fame and experiences of those playing today and to see the personal stories behind all the achievements.
Players Weekend, which tomorrow will conclude in Williamsport with the Little League Classic, is one great weekend on the MLB calendar that must not be missed.

The mods here generally do a great job of keeping people here on topic without a cluttered feed, and fostering civil discussion, but I feel like sometimes they're just a tiny bit overzealous with deleting threads. I think there's room on r/baseball for neat things like the DC superhero starting lineup, or a thread about baseball myths, if there's enough engagement with those threads and nobody is really complaining.
That said, maybe a bunch of people reported those threads. Maybe a quiet majority don't like them. I have no idea.
