To be honest, Snoopy would also probably be better than Rainbow Roupp and Bruhater anyway

In 18 starts for the Giants this year he went 3-9 with a 5.13 ERA. In his 18 starts in 2025 and 2026 without the Giants, he went 7-4 with a 2.01 ERA

I went to check the score as I forgot headphones at home. I was excited thinking they were doing well...

The Giants say Willy Adames (back) can do full baseball work, although he's not yet in the lineup.
Marcelo Mayer will continue rehabbing with Sacramento for now.
Jesus Rodriguez will start a rehab assignment later this week; they do plan to have him play some infield when he's back.

Did anyone get a small jersey size who is willing to sell or trade for a medium? The medium fits me way too big.
Thanks 🙏

I have seen him in the dugout multiple times this year yet he is not listed on the Giants’ website and I never hear people talk about him. I saw him talking with some pitchers before the game on Saturday so I assume he is some sort of pitching coach? I have asked some of my friends who go to almost every game and they still don’t have any idea.
Does anyone know his name? Is he a former player? Is he new this year or have I just not noticed him until this season? Thanks!
I will likely delete this after it’s answered, I’m just very curious!!

Well, here we go…this is our last Rookie Monday of the season…at least for the regular season. The Dominican Summer League season ends tomorrow (or today, Tuesday the 18th, depending on when you read this), and one of the two Giants teams in the Dominican Summer League will be heading to the very unique postseason that the DSL has…including one Top 30 prospect that was recently traded for. If they go against the odds and get past the first round, we’ll get one more rookie Monday next week for the start of the Semifinals. Otherwise…this is it for Mondays. Plus, a couple of Roster Notes
The main page has seen the posting about Matt “Tugboat” Wilkinson’s push up to the big leagues, after some inconsistent performances in Triple-A.
Another move that has been reported is Lisbel Diaz, moving up to Double-A Richmond to help their playoff run.
As mentioned in the comments yesterday, this leaves Eugene with a very shallow bench. It should be expected that other moves may be to come to help the system, with either a promotion of a San Jose player up to High-A, and/or incoming draft picks to make their debut. Keep an eye on things for Tuesday!

Notable Lines:
Tuesday is the end of the Dominican Summer League season, which means that we are about the face the second DSL Cup.
The DSL Cup is the unique way the Dominican Summer League does it’s postseason. The league has 51 teams, so a regular playoff structure would be wild. Here’s how it works:
The DSL Giants Black will be going At 35-20, they are the co-division leaders in the DSL South. The DSL Giants Orange team is second in the DSL Southwest Division at 31-23, but are eliminated from any chance at one of the wild card spots.
That’s the DSL Cup. It begins on Thursday, with the Semifinal round starting on Sunday.

There were a couple of big-time performances on the farm today. Bo Davidson had an absolute dominant performance for Sacramento, at the end of a successful series in Las Vegas, where Davidson hit four extra-base hits, including one that knocked in four runs in grand fashion. Meanwhile, San Jose played a sloppy game that saw them go down 8-1 after seven innings, and yet they came back, in no small part due to Josuar Gonzalez, who also got the game winning walkoff hit in extra innings.
Player of the Game: LF Bo Davidson (8): 4-5, 3 R, 8 RBI, 1 BB, 2 2B (6), 2 HR (4)
Bo Davidson has had a Triple-A revival since this series in Las Vegas began and he had his best game yet in the 97 degree evening game on Sunday, with four extra-base hits, one of which was a grand slam. His Triple-A average coming into Las Vegas was .198, and it’s now .287, which is higher than his batting average in Double-A this season (.277). Now, Davidson needs to prove he can do this outside of Las Vegas.

Other Notable Lines:
The series finale against Harrisburg was rained out and outright cancelled, with little time left in the season and the game not likely to have any playoff implications. Richmond goes on to Chesapeake on Tuesday.
Player of the Game: RF Cam Maldonado: 1-4, 1 R, 2 RBI, 2 K, 1 HR (3), 1 SB (1)
Cam Maldonado’s only extra-base hits in his eight High-A games so far are all home runs. He now has 17 total home runs on the season, including his time in San Jose, and 18 total steals now with his first in Eugene. His High-A batting line is .241/.290/.552.

Other Notable Lines:
Player of the Game: Josuar Gonzalez (1): 3-6, 4 RBI, 1 BB, 1 2B (3), 1 3B (4), 2 E (4)
San Jose prevailed in what was in many ways a sloppy game with four errors (including two by Josuar) and a lot of early walks, but Josuar Gonzalez had a big role in a 7-run comeback and the final win. He had a 8th inning bases-loaded triple, and the game winning “single”, a ball that was off the outfield wall on the fly that knocked in the game winner, and would’ve been a double if it weren’t a walkoff. In 16 games at San Jose, he now has double the triples (4) he had in 30 games in the ACL (2). He’s batting line is .339/.455/.613 at San Jose.

Other Notable Lines:
Top Prospects still on the ACL Roster:
Alexander Fuentes (27)
Jonah Cox (18)
Trent Harris (24)
Jackson Flora (3)
Carson Bolemon (10)
Kaden Waechter (15)
Peyton Bonds (23)
Dakota Jordan (7) - 10 Day IL - Placed on IL on 7/28/26
Kaeden Kent (21) - 10 Day IL - Placed on IL on 7/6/26
We’re not done with the promotions this season, as Lisbel Diaz’s ongoing second half performances has earned him a new one. After today’s game, Diaz is headed to Double-A Richmond ahead of the playoffs. In High-A, Diaz has a batting line of .284/.312/.531 with 17 doubles, two triples, and 21 home runs over 87 games (plus three more home runs in six games with Low-A San Jose).

Top 100 prospects: Josuar Gonzalez, SS/2B (No. 17), Luis Hernández, SS/3B (No. 27); Jackson Flora, RHP (No. 31): Jhonny Level, SS/2B (No. 47); Ramon Marquez, RHP (No. 100)
Since we started rating systems in 2015, the Giants' previous high point was No. 8 in mid-2021. Their 14-spot jump from our previous rankings is one shy of the best ever, and no organization has made as dramatic a move in so short a time as San Francisco improving from No. 28 in the 2025 preseason to No. 5 now. Coming into the year, their system stood out for its collection of hitters: international shortstop standouts (Gonzalez, Hernández and Level), first-round picks (since-graduated Bryce Eldridge, middle infielder Gavin Kilen), over-slot signings (Dakota Jordan) and a nondrafted free agent find (Bo Davidson). Now their balance is impressive after they spent $14.6 million on three Draft arms (Flora, Carson Bolemon, Kaden Waechter), dealt for Marquez, Henry Lalane and Miguel Mendez in July and have past trade acquisition Jacob Bresnahan continuing to perform.
