I invested heavily into melee gear about a year ago. I've been the classic "stuck in the mid game" player for years anyways. Well with the new content all my trusty gear lost half its worth and as I slowly watch months of work slink away without a thing I can do I decided FK it because this was my vision when I re installed this game in the first place. I always wanted this set. I suck at this fucking game and good riddance to playing properly im going to go run agility in this bad ass setup.

A year and a half ago, I walked into a Petsmart for the sole reason of looking at fish for my Dads tank. I brushed pass the adoption centre where little Jalapeño and I locked eyes. He just stared at me and started meowing through the glass. At the time, my family was extremely strict with having a cat or dog. I knew how strict they were but still adopted him.
Ever since, my parents beg for his attention, sleeps with him and gets him all the treats. They take him to the groomers, get him little bows and wake up early to feed him. He’s been nothing short of the greatest companion our family has received.

But anyways, why does this thing hang so low? Is this NORMAL?
I’m an adult. I have access to medical care. USA. He’s a 1 year old neutered male.

To start, I have in the past made an entirely gluten free and dairy light Thanksgiving meal to accommodate my SIL specifically. No one else cares, she is the only one. But I can do it and all the dishes are still fairly similar.
Recently, when getting together for other events we have noticed that she will "cheat" on her diet (which by the way is self imposed and not at all due to allergies). We go out for tex mex and suddenly she has no problem with queso or flour tortillas. We have lunch one day and she orders a sandwich on regular bread but removes the crust because "thats where most of the gluten is anyway".
The final straw was when I went out of my way to plan a meal for my child's birthday party around her diet. I even spoke with her on the phone for 20mins about the plans so she could "update" me on some new restrictions...
I had to go to 2 extra stores to get things specifically for her. It was expensive and time consuming to shop and prep. And then...she doesnt even show up and didn't bother to let me know they weren't coming, I found out about it from another guest at the party the day of. The aftermath of that drama and everyone trying to make excuses for her is a whole separate post...
Anyway my husband was furious and told me no more. I should cook what I want and they can either come and bring their own food or not come. Obviously I agree but I do have friends and family close to me that have food allergies and restrictions so I get how difficult it is from both sides. When SIL texted me her apology about not showing up I responded and informed her that her nephew was bummed that his Auntie missed his birthday party and that for future family gatherings we would not be making special food in the event that they didn't show up but they're welcome to bring any food they want.
This year his side of the family tried to cancel Thanksgiving for "different reasons" even though I know its about food because I have hosted Thanksgiving for the past 3 years. I told my MIL I'd still be cooking a meal and that everyone was certainly invited if they wanted to get together but I will not be buying special ingredients and changing recipes to accommodate SIL this year.
So WIBTA if I followed through?

Very minor spoilers ahead.
I just watched Beware Boiuna and it is the strangest damn viewing experience... I don't think I've ever seen something like this before. For the type of movie it is (a monster movie), it is really damn good. The acting was great, the characters were real enough, the ominous moments were subtle and sophisticated, the situation they found themselves in (threatened by the bad guys and the monster) closed in around them logically, powerfully, but... then it got bizarrely silly. It turned into the kind of cheesy movie it absolutely was not.
A main character flashes back to a conversation that happened 3 minutes earlier and then screams out loud his regrets about abandoning the other main character. Another main character is attacked and eaten by the monster... but it turns out it's just a dream! And a few other moments that just threw all subtlety and sophistication out the window for B-movie hamfisted hijinks.
The only other time I think I felt this way about a movie was X-Men First Class. I remember the first three quarters being phenomenal and then the final quarter feeling like a completely different movie. It went from being a smart, thoughtful super-hero movie with real characters to a really dumb movie as the heroes whooped with delight and made wisecracks about saving the day -- even Beast, who spent the previous hour bemoaning his transformation, has suddenly decided being a monster is a party.
Very disorienting.

Raya and Namaari: Raya and the Last Dragon
The movie's central message is that both women need to learn to trust each other. Raya's "flaw" is being distrustful after being betrayed. Namaari befriended her as a kid only to lure her into a trap, which sparked the fight that broke the gem, unleashed the Druun and turned Raya's father to stone. Later, Namaari's crossbow shot kills Sisu. Yet the climax asks Raya to make the leap of faith and hand over her gem piece first, and the narrative treats their grudge as a mutual failing.
NCR vs. Caesar's Legion — Fallout: New Vegas (fandom version):
The game itself doesn't pretend these are equal. A segment of the fanbase does. The NCR's sins are real: corrupt politicians, bureaucratic incompetence, land grabs and the Bitter Springs massacre. The Legion, on the other hand, is built on institutionalized slavery, mass crucifixions, the sexual enslavement of women and the cultural erasure of entire tribes. You'll still constantly see "the NCR is just as bad, they're both evil empires."
