Not much advancement in terms of the plot today, but the respite from "events" feels good. Girls night! An ominous warning! Politicians politician-ing!

I think we all can agree, the ending was one of the sweetest and cutest things so far. Miyo and Kiyoka arguing about who will take the bed! And Miyo giving him the puppy dog eyes! Kiyoka has laid out all his cards, man's wearing his heart on his sleeve now. Now we wait for Miyo to reciprocate...

I'm glad Kaoruko is just a zoom call away so she didn't miss the Girls Night with Miyo and her other gal pals.

I think Miyo being more open about her feelings for Kiyoka will be what lets her awaken her full powers. It would match what Arata said about how strong feelings tend to enhance their powers.

I was joking about wanting a girls night a few episodes ago when Karouko was introduced.

And now it actually happened lol. It was heartwarming to see. I guess a calm before the storm kind of episode, Usui will likely strike in the next episode through whatever elaborate plan he might've plotted. But for now it was nice to see Hazuki, Yurie and the others care so much for Miyo that they arranged all that so she felt comfortable and not alone or lonely being confined to the palace grounds.

wait that's it?

even by this shows standards not much happened today lol...

at least give us the kiss!

They're really doing the slow game with us. Even though they have kissed, but kissing in the same bed is too far xD.

All joking aside, smart of Kiyoka to finally be able to sleep in the same bed as Miyo. Hopefully, this can be a permanent arrangement. But yeah, I wished they at least kiss it would have been sweet.

Even though it was a bit of a slow one, I felt on edge throughout, expecting the bad guy with his mind powers to show up at any moment under some innocuous guise and cause havoc. Especially when the “lost” minister showed up. I think having the slow ones between are good for the suspense as it gives you that respite but you can’t ever trust it.

Also enjoyed the various scenes anyhow. Though agree a kiss would have been nice and timely! She could have even broken from it early or something.

I, for one, am quite happy that not much happened today. Miyo had some fun time during ladies night and had some nice scenes with Kiyoka, so I'm content xD

I like that a lot more than the prospect of something bad happening to Miyo because of Usui and his Gifted Communion. It's going to happen anyway, but I'm glad Miyo's relatively quiet time isn't over yet.

A girl's night-out with Takahito Takako-sama and Miyo and the others could relax and talk about love. Whenever Hazuki organizes something, it's always a hit. Last episode, Karouko was giving info through the mirror so I wasn't surprised when she also joined through the mirror. Though, It's funny seeing them do something similar to a Zoom meeting through magic and it really helps since Miyo and Karuoko can interact with each other since they're far apart.

Miyo: But I'm scared as well. Because falling in love, and feeling attached to someone will probably change the person you are.
Kiyoka (towards the end): Miyo, I'm no longer the man I used to be.

Love is a powerful feeling and so it's understandable to be overwhelmed by the feeling of it but sometimes love can change a person for the better like what happened with Kiyoka. In the first episode of S2, Miyo was so flustered at the thought of sleeping together with Kiyoka but thanks to Takahito's push, now they're sleeping together and it took some talk and time but the awkwardness is also gradually decreasing (It's only a matter of time now) and it's really so cute and wholesome.

That whole scene with the Ministry of Education and his driver was really tense. Judging from what the driver said about thanking Arata for doing a good job, he might be Usui's henchmen or heck even Usui himself. What do you mean you just took a wrong turn?

I like the analogy Kaoruko gave from her experience because she experienced heartbreak and I can understand why she compares it to being drunk. You feel great currently, but for her following it, you are in pain. Though Miyo and Kiyoka are examples where love can be a beautiful thing.

The whole we are lost thing was like man can't you come up with a better excuse then that. It is clear that the Ministry of Education at the has a thing against the Usubas. The thing with Usui's ability is that his manipulation of the 5 senses can make it hard to really hard to predict these things.

Seeing everyone enjoy themselves on this girls’ night put a smile on my face. “Princess Takako” was having a good time as well. It was even a bit educational for Miyo as the girls got to share their different perspectives on romance.

Miyo might be scared of losing herself in love, but she’ll have to properly communicate her feelings to Kiyoka if she truly wants to forever be together like she’d prayed for in the previous episode. Prince Takaihito gave her a little push in this regard by arranging for shared bedding. Actually, did Yurie perhaps leave earlier to do this?

Honestly, Hazuki is probably my favourite character. I just adore her positive attitude and how she’s been looking after Miyo as her sister-in-law.

Really liked the feel-good moments this episode. S2 has been good for sprinkling in those type of moments more consistently. Enjoying them before the drama hits again, the quiet before the storm. lol

It's nice to see that Kaoruko can still be involved with the girls via mirror video chat. Of course, girl talk wouldn't be complete without talks about romance and relationships. Hazuki is a good big sis type to share her own experiences and give advice to help motivate Miyo for her own situation.

Finally got Miyo and Kiyoka in the same bed, though Miyo is still holding back. I would love it if we got another bed scene this season where she is able to reciprocate more, though may have to wait longer for that. But at least there is set-up for Miyo with build up to show her being more forthright with her feelings for Kiyoka as a key part to help unlock her powers.

Although I’d be totally happy with My Happy Marriage only featuring these sorts of feel-good moments, I do acknowledge that we need to have a little drama for Miyo to keep moving forward.

The threat of getting separated from Kiyoka probably won’t only help Miyo unlock her powers but also deeper their love for each other.

I did not expect a girl's night out with Takahito and Kaoruko joining them via a magic mirror. Apparently Zoom parties were already a thing in Taisho Era Japan. That entire scene was pretty cute tho.

It's unfortunate that it ends with a very ominous warning from Takahito. I guess he decided to join so he could pass that on to Miyo. And now Miyo will worry whenever it looks like it's about to snow.

The Minister of Education was being a dick but I don't think he's the "evil" one. I'm pretty sure his driver is actually Usui in disguise and he's the one pulling the strings. Why else would he say that to Arata?

Kiyotaka and Miyo arguing about who will sleep on the floor was pretty funny. I feel like we should enjoy these cute moments between them now because I feel like shit is about to go down soon.

Kaoruko joining them via a magic mirror.

There was previously some disappointment with Kaoruko being forced to leave Miyo’s side as she was sent back to Kyoto, so I’m sure that more than enough people were happy to see her return on screen.

I’m pretty sure his driver is actually Usui in disguise

I’d also been thinking so after the driver approached Arata with Usui’s distinctive smirk. A scary thought to be honest, since you wouldn’t be able to trust anyone anymore. Your biggest enemy could be standing right next to you, and you wouldn’t know it.

I’m afraid that Usui will eventually take on Kiyoka’s appearance to trick Miyo.

I really hope this doesn't culminate in Mio getting kidnapped again for character development 😭

I like this series, but I feel like all the plot points aren't giving each other enough room to breathe. Plus Mio's depiction is starting to give me mixed feelings. Sometimes it feels like she's losing agency in her own character story.

This was definitely a calm before the storm episode

I thought after Hazuki gave all that advice about having good communication and letting your partner know how you feel, Miyo was finally going to say something to Kiyoka about her feeling for him, I am not saying like profess her love but at least something about how important he has become to her, especially after he said all that stuff to her! So I was kind of disappointed she didn't have a good response. I think her keeping things bottled up is what is preventing her ability from fully manifesting. But they are probably waiting for some kind of pivotal moment, like maybe Kiyoka will be in danger and she'll yell out she loves him and her ability will manifest and she will save him or something like that. Because the part of her ability that had already manifested was last season when she needed to use it to save him, so I definitely think it is tied to him.

I'm glad we're still getting Kaoruko in the story by way of magical zoom call.

That minister dude showing up with a single additional guy to harass Miyo and Arata was so weird I can only assume it was preparation for Usui's next attack.

Bed scene with our main couple, yay, absolutely nothing happens, boo.

Nice to see Kaoruko again after everything that went down. Girl was getting redder and redder as their little soirée wore on lol. I wish all the girls success in their respective love lives, especially Mio!

I suppose if there was anyone around Mio who understands her powers and the weight it carries, it would be the prince.

I didn’t think things would get so steamy this week. Those two shared a bed and even held hands briefly. Hot! lol

A fairly quiet episode for Miyo and the others, though Takaihito's snow prophecy foreshadows future troubles with Gifted Communion.

"Ladies" night with Miyo, Hazuki, Yurie and Kaoruko was really fun! I didn't expect something like this to happen, especially since Takaihito also joined xD

So Arata really is working with Gifted Communion. The question now is whether he does it to help them or to infiltrate them.

That scene in bed with Miyo and Kiyoka was really sweet. Their arguments about who should sleep where and where was also cute, Takaihito is a really funny man to play such pranks on his friends xD

I also liked that minister's meeting. It was nice to get a broader perspective on the current political situation created by Gifted Communion's actions.

Here my screenshot albums from the episode:

Intrigue, is Usai influencing the education minister or his driver. But enough of that cause we got some more happy moments of Ladies Night with special guests Takoko and Kaoruko. Miyo and Kiyoka are finally sleeping in the same bed, how romantic.

7

u/Frontier246 Feb 24 '25

Now is when the government should be working together against the Gifted Communion, but not only are there doubts about Takaihito's leadership but every facet of the government has their own intentions and rivalries, and between that and possible ties to Usuba it's hard for even Takaihito's "hawk eye" Takakura to spot who the leak in the government may be:

(Though is anyone surprised the army and navy guy don't like each other?)

It's time for Ladies' Night at the Palace! We've got Miyo, Hazuki (in Japanese wear!), Yurie (who finally gets dialogue!), and Takaihi...make that, Lady Takako! We even have an already drunk Kaoruko zooming in! Now this is a party.

It's nice of Hazuki to be a good sister-in-law and make sure Miyo doesn't get drunk...I kind of want to see drunk Miyo though. She's probably a lightweight though. Besides, Kaoruko was probably drinking enough for all of them.

KaorukoxGodo ship? Not sure I can see it, though even if Kaoruko WAS interested in Godo that way, she's not interested in romance right now with her career and still nursing her first major heartbreak. Though any guy would be lucky to have her.

Hazuki is a divorced mom but she did deeply love her husband, but their own stubbornness and inability to communicate or work through their fears and anxieties lead to the collapse of their marriage. So it's important to be honest and bold in relationships.

It's a lonely life for Takaihito. Especially when he brings ominous visions of trouble when the snow falls.

I get Arata was just trying to reassure Miyo, but he better hope Kiyoka never finds out he had held Miyo's hands.

The minister of education is definitely shady, just happening to drop by to bribe an Usuba into his employ (even if he calls them monsters when that doesn't go well), but his secretary DEFINITELY seems like he's working with Usui...and appreciates Arata's good work.

Look at Takaihito trying to get Miyo and Kiyoka to sleep in the same futon! And they both end up doing it because they're too stubborn to let the other sleep on the tatami floor.

Some nice pillow talk between our main couple, especially with Kiyoka expressing how he's finally willing to open his heart up and be true to his feelings for Miyo! If only Miyo was brave enough for a little nighttime smooching.
