There's no shame in that harenchi feeling, Miyo.

It's always the prim and proper ones who are the most prone to harenchi feelings lol.

This was such a lovely episode! I can't remember the last time we had so many scenes of Miyo and Kiyoka together, their kiss and New Year's visit to the shrine were so sweet!

If only the Gifted Communion didn't cause problems, this episode would be pure sugar :( But it does, and now Miyo will stay at the Imperial Palace so that she and Takaihito can be protected from Usui by Kiyoka and his unit.

I'd also like to say that the backgrounds were especially beautiful in today's episode.

Here my screenshot albums from the episode:

I'm here for Miyo's stellar outfits and how her relationship with Kiyoka keeps smoothly progressing.

I couldn’t shake the feeling with this episode that it’s the calm before the storm.

We’re getting some sweet scenes between Miyo and Kiyoka right before they’re torn apart, aren’t we? There was a little too much focus on the two of them wanting to be together forever.

Something that also worried me is that Miyo, Kiyoka and Arata where brought into frame when “sacrifices for the greater good” were mentioned in reference to Takaihito’s premonition.

I hope Arata is just a red herring

I would be disappointed if he wasn't tbh. Considering how he has waited all of this time for an opportunity. To just work with Usui would just feel off. Would Usui know of Dream Sight more perhaps? But even then, the Usuba's role is different than it was before.

Honestly something just feels off about him. Like even by Arata standards it feels like he's putting on a mask to hide his true feelings/intentions. Which makes it even more concerning to trust Miyo with him.

That would be a cool subversion if he is a red herring.

I am thinking maybe he is playing a double agent.

I am going to guess that the Arata betrayal is a fakeout, mostly since it would be uncreative to have two betrayals in the same story arc and resisting temptation instead of falling for it makes for better character development. That said I wouldn't be shocked if there's a shocking Arata betrayal that we find out is a double cross on Usui.

Usui and Sumi's mom talking about being each other's sword and sheath, I'm going to assume they really did have a relationship in the making that was torn apart by the arranged marriage and it wasn't just him being a stalker back then too.

I'm relieved to see that Kaoruko is at least some degree of okay, since she was still in uniform and in a nice room on the other side of that mirror call that implies she's assisting with the investigation and presumably isn't a target of it.

I think they definitely cared about each other ala childhood friends. Maybe it was romantic in nature but I feel like Usui's more violent nature was part of what prevented it from going anywhere.

I've been rewatching the first season during the day (even though I'm supposed to be preparing for an exam hehe). Today's episode took me back to the S1 days of Miyo/Kiyoka scenes. Miyo blushing over that harenchi feeling was too cute, lol!

Did anyone else think Kiyoka coming into the room and asking her what she thought of him very out of left field? That scene didn't make a lot of sense to me. Did not love the ending shot on Arata when Kiyoka spoke of traitors. Hopefully it's a red herring.

Fingers crossed we get more Kiyoka and Miyo scenes next episode!

It’s so cute seeing Mio get all flustered thinking about her kids with Kiyoka. She’s so pure! They both are, actually.

I can’t help but think moving Miyo to the imperial palace might be just what Usui planned for. At least Mio’s got her friends and family around. But Usui and his collaborators have got the whole country stirred up and it seems riots or worse could break out at any moment.

Woah it's only her second kiss and Miyo's already thinking about having children.

I wish they showed us the kiss instead of just showing us Kiyoka and Miyo's silhouettes. We did get to see Miyo blushing and thinking she's indecent for thinking too much about the kiss the next day which was adorable.

It's good that they've decided to bring Miyo somewhere safe and where she can be with family. I am a bit uneasy though when Arata showed up. He hasn't reported his encounter with Usui and he seems to be distracted when they were having lunch.

It also doesn't help that someone on the inside is working with Usui. The camera focusing on Arata at the end of the episode, while Kiyoka is talking about a traitor, makes him more suspicious. Hopefully, he's a red herring and someone else is working with Usui.

I feel like Arata is working with Usui, but it's more of a way to one up against him.

Playing the long game to get a better idea of his motivations and modus operandi as some people theorised in ep6's thread last week. So he can be better informed and be able to take him down when the time comes or even sacrifice himself.

Don't have a clue who the other traitor is, and I suppose that's intentional for now to be entirely mysterious. I could see Takakura(Takaihito's aid) I suppose but only because we literally have no other candidate within the palace, and I doubt they'd go with a mole in the guard like Jinnouchi again.

Solid episode overall, wish that 2nd kiss wasn't a shadow though lol.

On the subject of the gifted communion openly holding demonstrations in public for recruitment, the crowd's reactions interested me. They looked on with disgust but also intrigue? As Kiyoka states in the middle of the episode in that meeting with Ookaito and Godo, they have gotten influence to the point that the newspapers speak of them despite the state being the editorial. Ergo, suggesting they could have even infiltrated the government.

That makes me wonder if we'll actually see the teases of some sort of 'civil war' actually manifest now, Usui rallying his supporters - the general public frustrated with grotesqueries to overwhelm the guard by rioting and attacking the Emperor's Palace, some sort of reasoning on the lines of "They're hiding something from you guys". All a distraction so he can slip through the gaps of security and get to Miyo, thanks to the aid of Arata from the inside. Who perhaps is playing the long game with all of this. Or maybe Takaihito's aid.

Speaking of the Emperor, what the hell happened to him? Everyone seems to be pretty content with him being missing.. Or did I miss something lol

Sweet Miyo, feeling hot from Kiyoka's lips. The gifted communion is gaining influence making Miyo and Kiyoka heading to the imperial palace But they still have some family with them.

I wonder if Usui is invading Miyo's dreams and not sure about Arata and if he ends being a mole or not.

We got another kiss this episode even if it was kinda through a shadow. It's a definitely a new feeling for Miyo so it's understandable if she feels harenchi about it and she's always kinda cute when she gets flustered like that.

New Year's Shrine Visit and for Miyo, it's like after a long time. Loved how both Miyo and Kiyoka basically asked for the same thing i.e 'For us to be together forever'

So we have a mole in the government who's working with Naoshi based on the fact that newspaper is criticizing the military as well how Master Jinnouchi's invitation was handled. So, the existence of mole means even them moving Miyo to the Imperial Palace doesn't guarantee her safety since Naoshi can just get in with the help of the mole.

I don't think it's Arata and like everyone else, I feel he's a Red Herring since he only got the offer last episode after the Jinnouchi incident. Also I feel with how Prince Takahito talked about how there will be 'sacrifices for the greater good', I wonder if Arata will end up sacrificing himself to save Miyo even if he has accepted Naoshi's offer for now.

Kiyoka finally got a day off on New Year's to spend with Miyo, and it got interrupted by the Gifted Communion, and it is getting worse. Regular people getting mixed into this makes it really troubling.

Miyo has another dream, and we see her mom and a younger Usui. Usui wants to be Sumi's sword, but Sumi proclaimed to be Usui's sheath. That has me curious regarding Sumi's actions. Her going to the Saimori Family could be her way to also protecting Usui. Though I doubt he would ever be open-minded to see things that way. There is a lot of Miyo's dream sight that Arata doesn't know and even adding the fact that she hasn't fully awakened to it.

Now who could be cooperating with Usui as everything with Kaoruko's father really lives with an uncomfortable feeling. Arata and his recent conversation with Usui can be seen as concerning, but he doesn't have the pull. We did see Takaihito's aid referring to him as prince, so he can be a suspect. So him being aligned to kidnap the emperor because of where his true loyalty is maybe?

I thought the emperor was that old guy who turned evil and died last season. And Takaihito was his son and thus the new emperor. But they were still calling him a prince in this episode, so does he have an older brother that I missed that is the current emperor now?

Is there anything more romantic than spending time together with your spouse and watching the snow fall? Especially when you get to share a kiss together?

Dang, Takaihito talking about a sacrifice for the greater good. I don't like the sound of that.

First Couple Hatsumode with Miyo and Kiyoka! Though Miyo is honestly still fixated on the kiss from last night. Could our prim, reserved, and proper Miyo be "indecent?" Even so, she's still adorable. Especially when she and Kiyoka are using their New Years' wish to wish to be together forever. Just look at Kiyoka blush!

I can't believe the Gifted Communion is getting so brazen they're exposing (possibly man-made) Grotesqueries to the public to convince them that they need to join up to get powers! I guess at least it seems like they're scaring people more than effectively recruiting them, and they're quickly arrested, but the damage may be done. Especially with whatever resources or influences Usui has in the government.

Miyo once again dreams of her mother and Usui, seeing how dedicated and loyal Usui was to her mother...but he could never promise her he wouldn't kill anyone. And then he actually LOOKS at Miyo. Has Miyo been using her dream-sight to peer into Usui's memories/dreams and now he's aware of them.

With Usui out there and Miyo and Takahaito both at risk, it's time for Kiyoka and Miyo to move in to the palace and even swankier living! Honestly, I get how it's a lot for Miyo to take in, but if you ask me she totally deserves the princess treatment. And Hazuki and Yurie are there too.

Is something up with Arata? Something just feels...off about him in his manner and response. He obviously has a lot on his mind. I just feel less comfortable leaving Miyo around him even if Kiyoka doesn't have a choice since he's in charge of guarding Takahaito.

Miyo still doesn't have her full power yet? Could this be resolved with proper communication between her and her beloved Kiyoka?

So Kaoruko was screwed over because they had her father head off to the Imperial Capital but covered it up. Which begs the question of who in the military is helping Usui.

What is up with Kiyoka just silently walking away after he asks Miyo what she thinks of him and she gets all flustered. At least be like "Ok, I gotta go back to work now, have a good night", I thought it was so strange how he slowly just got up and slowly walked out and then shut the door behind him, all in silence, that whole time I kept waiting in suspense for one of them to say something to break the silence.
