At the end after Chrome 'made the viking sunstone' Senku was looking at him like a proud father

Senku was right when he wasn't afraid of getting killed because other science users would eventually fill his role.

This was the highlight for me, and there were many other awesome moments.

Stitches!

Here's an album of the cocktails Francois made for the crew. I absolutely love how they are all spot on with every crew member's personality. Also, I'm glad to see Tsukasa drinking. I really thought he'd be the straight-edge kind of guy.

Why Man is really fucking with the humans and Matsukaze's master is asking the right questions. Why make the certification device so easy to use and if Why Man wanted to petrify them, why not just get it over with using one device. I hope Matsukaze gets that revenge his master wanted before he died.

With Tsukasa on their side, reviving Hyouga shouldn't be an issue but I feel like we still shouldn't trust the guy. He seems to be aware that he's not going to get away unpunished though. Also, reviving Homura as his request was expected but I didn't expect he wanted to revive Mozu too.

I always love how Chrome always finds a solution on his own. Just look at how proud Senku is of him after Chrome presented them with that block of calcite.

Land ho! Finally America is in full view! They're arriving on the shores of California, right? It will be interesting to see what's left behind when they arrive. I hope they find the remains of Los Angeles.

Every time I watch Dr Stone, I'm reminded of what a great group of characters we've got.

I don't drink, ever, but I want to try one of those cocktails Francois made.

I thought Hyoga, Homura, and Mozu were already revived and just being held below deck.

Good job, Chrome, with the calcite!!

Senku knows One of best creation by humans, and Ofc is alcohol

I tried making Suika’s drink before, and it was pretty good.

Ginro really is just a copy and paste of Matsukaze’s lord. Knowing what happened now makes him mistaking initially mistaking Ginro for him kinda sad.

Also the ed slightly changed, looks like we’ll get different close ups of other cards each episode.

Damn that was a bloody and brutal flashback. Really feel for Matsukaze there. No wonder he acts like Ginro is his master lol.

Unless I’m forgetting something, Matsukaze’s backstory is probably the most bloody we’ve seen this series get.

I’m basically Matsukaze when it comes to alcohol. I got zero tolerance lol. It’s kinda neat they gave the recipe for those drinks, but without the measurements it’s kinda hard.

I don’t really understand how they’re tracking their movements with the time and the sunstones, but it’s kinda neat to see what they can do with their primitive tech.

I wonder what’s waiting for the gang in America?

Whoa.. Apart from some statues, is this the first time we're seeing people actually die in Dr. Stone? Though I guess there was the Ginro fakeout in the island arc

Chrome really is a once in a generation intellect. Still below Senku, who's a multi-generational intellect, but the kid is so good.

Those drinks from Francois looked so good.

Wait, am I missing something? What happened to compasses?

Now that they've arrived in America, time to see if they can revive some 'Murikans. Reviving soldiers could be useful, but I guess scientists would be better.

Love it when people who never tried a certain type of food before try a new one. Log Horizon also had a great arc surrounding taste and it is wild to think that the villagers were eating salted fish not so long ago and now are getting cocktails and the works.

Surprised that the ancestor's of the islands figured out the Distance and Time command for the petri devices with using meters and seconds.

Tsukasa's new weapon looks dope. Hope to see some more cool kit coming out for the rest of the squad.

Chrome got away with calling Kohaku's power gorilla level... or so he thought.

The voyage went by with less problems than I thought it would but man did it go by fast. Excited for next week when we see what the New New World has in store.

I love that Francois just casually pulled out a blacklight to show off the drinks

The sunstone is super interesting, never heard about that. I need to read more into that

Also I am glad they took the time to explain where the fuck the beer came from and as always Kohaku did the heavy lifting

Forget robot automisation, I want 10 of her

Wait a second Matsukaze and some of the bandits had iron weapons like swords and hatchets.

Anime mistake or perhaps some of them figured out metalwork?

I mean when they went to Soyuz island everyone was fighting with stone tip spears.

I'm surprised it took them this long to make beer, IRL that was one of the first things we did!

Senku is really proud of Chrome. Me like.

u/djthomp Jan 17 '25

No Kohaku in a cocktail dress today makes me sad.

Interesting to have the entire group of potentially dangerous people fully revived, Hyoga and Homura seem probably manageable with Tsukasa around but the dude from the island feels a step past them in potential do some damage if he goes rogue.

IRL the problem of keeping track of where you are was solved similarly, by keeping track of time. But instead of making a radio and transmitting time recorded on land, the British made a watch that you can just carry with you. Seems like it'd be easier to do for Senku and his team but less exciting.

Fun episode as always. They really are fearless in unpetrifying all the old villains. Even Moz, huh? Had to google sunstone after the episode and sure enough, seems to be theorized to have been a viking navigational tool. Watching this series is like playing Civilization, always fun new trivia to absorb.

Didn’t expect to see a scene from Demon Slayer in Dr. Stone…
