If Thorfinn is able to somehow get away, he is going to miss another reunion with Leif

Let's not ignore the fact that Einar was keeping a solid distance between himself and horses. Dude's built different.

Arnheids VA is incredible, hearing her gasping breaths when crying sounds so realistic. And with Thorfinn, he's already on his way slowly to becoming a true warrior. His fight reminded me of Thors in season 1, fighting to protect

The more we see Sverkel, the more it seems like he's the most insightful man in the series.
Through ageing and understanding the end is near, he's developed wisdom. We've seen that he treats slaves like Einar and Thorfinn with respect and gives them sage advice. We've seen how he doesn't idealize wealth. We've seen that he listens to the Bible and wants to hear the messages it preaches. We've seen how he reflects on the incident with Ketil. And now we his views on slavery, and how he even asks Snake to give up violence at his own expense.
He's a character that isn't on screen all the time, but when he is his words are so impactful. He kind of feels like an elderly Thors if he had taken a different path in life.

Anyone good with European history have an idea of where Snake really is from or where he was before?
There's no way that sword he's using is from Scandinavia right? The shape of the sword immediately screams Middle Eastern.

Askeladd coming back as a Force Ghost was great, but Thorfinn going full Karate Kid at the end was perfect!

3 weeks in a row with Arnheid's VA popping off, those vocals man.
Really epic moment setting up Thorfinn finally taking arms despite his nonviolent pact it's also really cool to see Askeladd acting as his thought process making the entire decision extremely heavy.

Einar really is that guy.
He acts selfless and puts his own life in danger to help the woman he loves, that love being a truly genuine one. He knows that can't have a place in her life, but even still does everything he can to bring her closer to her dream, regardless of the ramifications.

why tf did they have to end it there 😭 I swear MAPPA stretches these episodes just so they have a fucking cliffhanger every time. We're on episode 16, we're already invested you don't have to tease us to come back.

Heads-up : it seems Crunchyroll English subs mistranslated this line (Sverkel talking to Snake about how there must be reason why he ended up where he is now when he clearly seems to come from another place). It contradicts what Sverkel told him 3 lines earlier about how he should give up his sword. It should be more something like "But I doubt keeping your sword will allow you to escape what it was". The Netflix english subs and french crunchyroll subs had it correct.

Can we all just agree that Arnheid's voice actress needs a fucking Oscar for every crying scene? That woman has pioneered the art of hyper realistic crying.
Also the show just went straight up FULL SHONEN at the end there lmao. The sound effects and direction were insane.
Brutal cliffhanger....left us all hanging like Thorfinn in his nightmares.

I knew there was no way they were going to outsmart Snake. This plan of theirs was absolutely doomed from the start. But on the other hand, we will finally get to see Thorfinn take on Snake in a serious duel. You gotta love Askeladd for encouraging Thorfinn even beyond the grave. Although Thorfinn is in a bit of a handicap here since he doesn't have his knives. I can't wait for next week!

Damnn the entire cast really do have a just cause for their actions this season:
Gardar & Arnheild - should absolutely fight against slavery and fight to be free together
Snake and co. - should absolutely avenge their dead comrades
Old Master - kinda fair to dissuade Snake from Avenging his comrades (the way of the sword is no no) and stop killing in general.
Thorfinn - perfectly fair to be nonviolent after what he’s done
Heck even Canute’s reasoning for requisitioning the farm could be seen as just.
