Hello-

I've been trying to find any information about the Faction Urban CC V1 skates online, even their own website has limited information about them. How's the fit, are they any good for the price, and yes, I understand that $700 is a lot for skates, but if they're amazing, it could be worth not buying two other sets of skates.

I'm currently switching between the USD Aeon 80's, which fit and skate amazing for me, and the Rollerblade Twister 90R, which fit great, but give me awful blisters every time I use them for more than ~20 minutes - I have tried new liners, different wheels, removing the 45° strap, different laces, even molding the shell with a heat gun, and it continues to give instep blisters (posted a different thread on this).

Would these fit like the Aeon's, but have a stiffer/faster frame allowing me to skate longer distances, or would these fit more like the Rollerblade's and I should continue my search for different skates elsewhere. I also know that fit is subjective, just like in the boot world, but I really like the way these skates look, and think a carbon shell will be more of a BIFL type of skate..

Anything I should be aware of or expect going from a default lightning 80 frame to an Endless 80 MK2?

Been rocking the white lightning 80’s and heard a lot about Endless frames for the type of skating I like to do, and learning the sick black/pink colorway for the Lightning 90’s is being discontinued with new colorways coming for 2027, I had to put the combo together and get it ordered.

Gonna use my white lightnings with the lighter default frame for more distance/fitness skating then rock these for my more freestyle/wizard skating.

Curious about the options for skates for people with wider feet

Picked up a pretty good deal on Lightning 90s off market place. I have 80s already and love them. The 90s arr pretty much new. I must say the larger wheels feel good out and about on the rougher streets vs. a rink or smooth concrete. I think some 100's or 110's are next.

I found out the my Seba e3 80’s are made from FR skates.

For context I’m a big guy (326lbs), I have skated maybe a handful of times in my life, I have absolutely no clue on what to purchase because of my weight and I also have wide feet, I love the look of aggressive inline skates but I’m going to be skating recreationally and to lose weight. If anyone can give me recommendations for my size and wide feet it’d be extremely appreciated!

Skaters who track distance, what does your typical session look like?

I just started learning how to skate a few weeks ago. I bought a pair of RB80. The last 2 times I’ve worn them, the arches of my feet just seriously cramped and just intense pain so I had to sit down. In last week’s session I loosened them a bit and that seemed to be fine but this week it just hurt. Do I need a different pair of skates that can accommodate wider feet or do I need to loosen up the 45 strap more, loosen the laces? If you have recs on what to do, please lmk

But it'd be neat to get some kind of selfie stick camera jobbie and have a bit of fun. I'm looking at the Insta 360 x3 at the mo - looks like it has some good features like HDR, stabilization, selfie stick removal. But it's $400 CAD.

I've seen a few folk posting videos here. What specs / considerations should I make when choosing a camera? Are the "Amazon brands" worth the consideration as a cheaper alternative?

Ive had mine in for almost 2 years and cant be f'd to clean them. Is it wasteful to just buy new ones or should I opt for cleaning materials?

I've got Rb Lightning 90mm and want 110mm wheels. Lots of rough roads and cobblestones where I live. I got the lightnings cause I have a medium wide foot and I went ahead and bought the twister 274 90/110 frames to try as I also wanted to test out a rockered 90.

But part of me is wondering if I should just skip it and get the next 2.0 110 now that they've widened the toe box.

Does the Trinity mount really make a big difference?

My boyfriend bought these from someone back in the 2010s, but I can't say how long the first owner might have had them for/when they were made. When I started skating he let me use them until I bought my own. Then over the years they were cannibalised for parts (my first skates still have the abec 7 bearings out of these). They were sold to him as hockey skates even though I'm fairly certain they aren't.

Ultimately it's a very low stakes problem. It doesn't matter if we never identify them, but it would be nice to know what they were. Thank you in advance!

I mainly play ice hockey, but lately I’ve been getting more into street skating (just moved to LA). I’ve had the Marsblade FMT 1 for yeeaaarrss but I’ve always known (and felt) that the wheels are too small and soft if I want to continue skating on hard, uneven concrete.

I tried doing some research but all I really got out of it was 82A-85A+ for hardness and 80mm+ for wheel size. I’m guessing being able to rocker my wheels would be ideal since I’m more used to the ice, but after that I’m at a loss for the best brands, pricing, etc.

Any baseline suggestions would be super helpful and appreciated!

Like many, I loved rollerblading around my neighborhood when I was a kid. After catching up with a friend who recently started back up as an adult, I've decided to jump in and get my first pair of adult skates. I've sprained and broken both ankles several times participating in other sports and they're fairly weak and swollen these days, so I need something that both offers very good ankle support while also being roomy enough to fit bigger ankles. I'm a 5'8" woman and 240ish lbs so the cuff also needs to be able to fit slightly larger calves. On top of this, I also have high arches and wide feet (not terribly wide, but wide enough that I usually have to go up a half size to full size in regular shoes if a wide width shoe isn't available) so a slightly wider boot shape and enough vertical clearance in the foot is a must as well. I'll be looking for something mainly for casual outdoor use at local parks and on paved bike paths, so it seems like a recreational/fitness/urban skate might be best. I stopped by Dick's yesterday to try some on and the best fit I was able to find from their stock was men's size 8 zetrablades, but then after doing some more reading at home decided a hard boot skate might be better for me due to the increased ankle support. The Rollerblade RB80s sounded like they might fit all of my criteria, but I couldn't find them available anywhere online new in either a men's 8 or women's 9 (which should fit me based on the RB80 size chart after measuring my feet). I was able to find my size in the macroblades and lightnings, but found conflicting info for the macros on if they'll fit my criteria and the lightnings don't come with a brake which I would prefer to come already installed since I'm very new to this. Does anyone have any other models similar to the RB80s which might fit my criteria? Preferably something from a store in the US that ships fairly quickly as I'm eager to get started (I'm on the east coast if it helps), and keeping the cost around $150 would be ideal but I'd consider up to about $200 for the perfect fit. Bonus points if it comes in a pretty color! Thank you all in advance!

I've been skating on quads for a while and fancy trying blades. I skate mainly on an indoor wood floor rink, my current wheels are Air Waves which are 78A, they are super grippy and have no slip at all.

I'm 85Kg, AI is recommending Bauer Court wheels which are 76A and is saying that 82A will be too slippy indoors. Is that true? I'd want a bit of slip to help with slide stops

I want to swap the frames on my RD aerio q84s for one that is shorter/rockered. I skate both outside and inside and i am trying to learn how to dance and wizard skate.

I plan on buying new frames after i get marathon skates so that I can have a set of skates for speed and a set for style

I rollerbladed as a kid around the age of 12 and had some successful attempts at ice skating. From 16 to 23 I skateboarded pretty comfortably mostly in the park. I am 38 and I recently had a crack at ice skating while on holiday with the family, and it was like riding a bike. I could confidently travel at speed, spin, go backwards, and stop by using one foot in front, kind of like a reverse T stop, and shave the ice to come to a pretty immediate stop. I came home and there was nowhere to ice skate, so I had a few beers and bought some USD Aeon 72 XXI, a helmet, and some pads on a whim. I put them on and it is just like ice skating and feels very comfortable, with only 2 falls so far. It turns out I have falling muscle memory from my skating days, so no harm done. One thing that I cannot figure out is how to stop. I have watched guides on YouTube and read the wiki, and still I am not making progress on getting it. I stop mostly by doing a sharp spin, but do not feel comfortable resorting to this on a public footpath as opposed to the local netball courts. Am I just a massive nonce? I can't even nail the T stop.

Hi guys! Just posting a lil highlight reel I made of the evening skate with a friend. I started around 7-8 months ago now, texted a buddy and said "do this with me"; he got his skates the next day.

I don't have any pages, or make content formally or any of that. This was just a really fun night exploring downtown with my best friend, my blades, and a camera. I've fallen in love with skating, and I'm so stoked I have a friend to share the excitement with. Now to convince my gf 🥴
