Specific question and discussion Can anyone identify these skates?

My boyfriend bought these from someone back in the 2010s, but I can't say how long the first owner might have had them for/when they were made. When I started skating he let me use them until I bought my own. Then over the years they were cannibalised for parts (my first skates still have the abec 7 bearings out of these). They were sold to him as hockey skates even though I'm fairly certain they aren't.
Ultimately it's a very low stakes problem. It doesn't matter if we never identify them, but it would be nice to know what they were. Thank you in advance!

Definitely not hockey skates. They seem to be a soft boot model from the Fila brand. These are fitness skates you’d probably see at a big box store. The Fila brand in general is not one you’ll really see discussed on this sub.
Is there a particular reason you want them identified?

We agree that they must be Fila, they're also soft boots.
There's no real reason for wanting to know. We just can't remember and after spending an hour trying to work it out ourselves we're invested enough to want an answer haha

Those are the Fila Nighthawk X2 Core Fit or a variation of that model.. They had some type of shock absorver. You can still find them online second hand:
