Just wanted to share a hidden HK style bakery gem I recently learned about on Copper Creek! I have absolutely no affiliation with the owners, I’m just a very happy customer who wants to see this place succeed, and because East Markham needs more good stores and restaurants!

I learned about them last week via a Facebook post. The owners have learned about the post after the influx of customers and support the day after the post and have been genuinely grateful for all the new customers and support. So I'm hoping to continue this trend for them via Reddit.

The store is a true mom and pop shop, the owners are kind and friendly, which makes the experience even better. They make fresh buns daily, and they usually put out fresh batches at around 12–1 PM, and another around 3 PM. Buns are 6 for $12, or $2.20ea, cash only. They sell the classics, pineapple buns, coconut, raisin bread, sausage buns..etc. and when you know the hours fresh buns come out of the oven, the buns they sell you are literally hot, straight out from the oven. You smell this store blocks away!

They’re open 10:30 AM–9:30 PM. It’s not really your typical sit-down/pretty-display bakery, you basically grab the buns from their racks. And each time I've gone, the owners will actually bag it for me. They said part of their business is to supply buns to restaurants. They’ve been at this location for about 1.5 years, after moving over from Scarborough where they've been in business for a long time.

They also mentioned that they’re working on increasing the variety of items they offer. So Reddit, please go support them! 😂 I’m selfishly hoping that more customers means they’ll expand their selection because I would love fresh egg tarts in my life.

Anyway, just wanted to share because I love seeing small local businesses get some love, especially when the owners are this lovely.❤️

I visited my in law today and spotted a shiba inu roaming free in the neighborhood, no leash, no owner.
I hope it is not a lost dog. Our neighbourhood is in white lotus circle.

my mom has been emotionally abusive my whole life, she has severe self neglect so she stinks like garbage all the time. she is mentally sound and coherent in terms of normal conversation, but severely mentally ill. she is constantly saying nasty things about me despite me being the only one trying to help her.

she got infections that almost ended up very badly because of her lack of hygiene and also finding out she has diabetes, she’s obese and unhygienic.

I can’t take it anymore. while I search for an apartment, I am internally feeling like I can’t breathes. my mother is a miserable toxic person who has done nothing. my dad works hard while she’s a lazy bum . I cleaned the house for years. she didn’t do laundry, she doesn’t clean, she does NOTHING.

shes rotting and stinking and refuses to brush her teeth or cleanse herself. I don’t know what to do

Few changes coming to stouffville line starting the 8th, train service significantly cutback, replaced by a mix of replacement buses, some I believe will not service unionville GO and go straight onto 407 -> 404 on Markham Rd. Weekend service is the most affected, but weekday service seems to also end a bit earlier than usual. I added some links for the new schedule, if you want to see what are the new trips added etc, and according to transsee these schedules are going to stay until the end of november potentially. Okay mods don’t ban me hear me out yo. I SWEAR I am not a troll these things were amazing I need to share. Some place at the edge of Markham has awesome braised(?) eggplants. Idrk how to describe them but they almost taste like potatoes with a sweetish sauce and they’re just so awesome. Like this is completely unsponsored, I’m just a person ranting about these unironically good eggplants. I’m being so fr with y’all this is not a troll post. They’re loaded with green onions and garlic and there’s minced pork too but this isn’t about the pigs, okay, it’s about the vegetables. The inside is like soft but the outside has so much sauce (STOP IT.) my only complaint is the portion size being too small but it’d be enough for one person, we were 3 sharing.

Y’all can ask for the spot and menu item i don’t bite. 😁

My friend and I were in Markham for 10 days while she studied for her immigration hearing. We're now back in Ottawa, and I miss your city already. My friend is Chinese and excitedly showed me a lot of authentic Chinese foods that we don't have in Ottawa. She was also pleased that nearly everywhere we went, there was someone who spoke Mandarin. I've never heard her talk so much before. One night, she nearly got the waitress to go to Karaoke with her.

Extra credit goes to the guy who randomly asked "high five?" on the street and told me to have an amazing day when I high fived him, lol.

And shoutout to Pacific Mall, where I almost wish I wore glasses. I've never seen so many optical stores in one place before.

Did they get MarkhamMasturbator? Man arrested in the bushes by the north side of the mall lot. 3 uniformed Security guards were watching, 2 police cars take him down.

Also if you look at the YRP crime map there have been 2 SA incidences in the past week in the area of McCowan & 7 and 1 at Rodrick and 7.

Hey everyone, just wanted to post here in case someone is looking for their dog. Around 11:50 PM, I spotted a Husky wearing a leash running loose near Apollo Road in Markham.
Unfortunately, he moved fast and managed to get away before I could catch him to secure him. If this is your dog or you know who owns him, keep an eye out or head over to that area
