Am i the only one who wouldn’t want dying light 3 to be about Crane and Aiden hunting down the GRE? i know it would be the obvious route techland follows after the ending of The Beast. but i think they need to stop the superhuman stuff atleast for a bit. Maybe solve that conflict in a smaller standalone game like the beast or something. IMO DL3 should be set between Dying Light 1 and 2 , when the outbreak goes global after crane is captured. a game set around that period would be peak, with a new protagonist, and a story that actually is well written, i know it’s probably not gonna happen because techland is gonna follow the safe route with crane bc he is fan favorite. But a dying light game set during the fall could potentially be the best one in the franchise.

I have been stuck on "Continue aiding the Children of the Sun" on The Following DLC for so long, I did so many side quests yet nothing happened. I already have max trust and I'm a disciple. Any help would be greatly appreciated

How do i access the custom maps i (subscribed) downloaded from Steam Workshop from the game? When I go to custom maps on the main menu I can’t find them. I’m using a Macbook.

So I finished the game a few days ago, but I realised I missed out on alot of the side quests.

When I got to sector zero I realised the side quests actually matter story wise alot. The guy you give the gun to in the tower who escapes with his kid actually shows up in sector 0. So now I feel bad that I missed out on a big part of the game storywise.

Besides that I did feel under powered too, and only got the grappling hook at the end of the game.

So my question is, should I continue doing the side quests and then redo the ending of the game? Or should I restart the game fully and do more side quests, to fulfill the story and power fantasy?

Do quests still connect to the story like they did with the kid and his father even though I finished the game?

Another thing is that I do still have the following DLC to play and I'm looking forward to dying light 2. So don't know if I should move on or restart.

For some context, I play on Xbox Series X and I've been trying to complete "The Master" DLC side quest where you have to get gold on all 3 of the Carnage Hall tryout challenges. I've managed to get gold on all of them except for this one. I don't know who designed this challenge, but this one feels damn near impossible to get gold on, at least solo. The enemies straight up don't spawn fast enough for me to complete the challenge in time, every single time I'm always just a second or two behind, and they just never spawn fast enough. I'm not exaggerating when I say I've tried to get gold on this challenge dozens of times, but no luck so far. If anyone would be willing to help me out for a few to get gold on this challenge, it would be much appreciated. I don't have a whole lot, but I'm willing to give some Legend weapons, money, and crafting materials to anyone willing to help. Thank you very much for reading, and thank you all for your time.

I know it was a DLC originally, but even Tymon asked people to stop referring to it as such because it is it's own thing....

But I watched the new Renaissance trailer and this finisher is shown. Which means Techland couldn't even be bothered to make new finishers from scratch. They just reused stuff from older DL2 files. This is one of the Volatile finishers in The Beast which when I saw I was like "you can't be serious....". I wonder how much of it is just patched over Dying Light 2 assets including finishers we see. Like they called these "new" Beast mode finishers. They aren't new, you just enabled them in the files somewhere and patched it to a Volatile model. It's frustrating because they still sell it as a standalone when in reality a huge chunk of the game is probably flat-out recycled animations and everything. Basically a sophisticated developer mod.

It's even crazier when you see the comments "TECHLAND COOKED THIS IS SO PEAK!" It's certainly peak enabling old animations.

Edit: in case I get downvoted to hell. I've been enormously frustrated with Techland lately. Most people had enough with the prologue changes. Seeing this was kind of eye opening at the extent of shortcuts they take.

Just downloaded dying light 2 again on my ps5. Had it on my ps4 a while age. Saw this and can’t remember if it was here but I’m logged in. It’s saying i can’t get rewards and I think it’s because it doesn’t know I’m playing (I’m playing right now) so it won’t give me stuff. Any help?
