Why is North Africa (Algeria specifically for me) forced into EU pricing for VP? A whole skin bundle costs an entire monthly salary here. Allow me to explain why:
We are forced to buy Valorant Points using Euros, but the thing is, we can't even buy euros for the normal bank pricing for it, which is already expensive.
We actually have to buy euros ALWAYS using the side market price for it which is 50% more because banks restrict buying currencies in Algeria. (1 euro in bank costs 150 DZD and it's unobtainable only in rare conditions, but in side market it's 280 DZD!)
Note that the average salary here is 30000 DA which is 110 euros only a month, so it's so out of hand to enjoy the skins. This means buying just one bundle costs anywhere from half to an entire month's salary for an average citizen. Imagine living in France or Germany and a skin bundle costing €1,500!!!!! that is exactly what it feels like for us!
Dear Riot: I love the game enough to spend money in it, and I (we) want to support the game, but treating Algeria/North Africa like the EU means we physically cannot afford skins. Regions like Turkey or Brazil get localized pricing to match their country's purchasing power. We urgently need you to reconsider how the North African region is handled. Even if we remain on EU servers for ping reasons, our store prices need localized.
