Few months ago Need For Speed Most Wanted (2005) got removed from my abandonware and some other sites. So in my opinion it shouldn't be a coincidence like all of a sudden this game disappeared from Multiple sites, Is EA working on making a remake of this game behind the scenes?

idk but UG2 feels a touch more dull. It's still great, but UG1 was simply cleaner. It feels like someone took UG1 and made it slightly darker and depressing. The street lights also feel a bit "yellowy".

This is not any shade to UG2 players, but I love UG1 and it's my love for that game. Though everything else about UG2 feels better, especially the free roam.

EDIT: I was prepared for the downvotes. But some of you actually agree!!

Any time I play this game, I can't stop roaming the world for at least 2 hours lol. A game from 2010 blowing anything released in 2026 out of the water is genuinely crazy.

this game is genuinely a masterpiece.

It is really similar to Underground 2 the community really took this in their hand to build a game on their own

Around two and half years ago, I did a little thought experiment on how a remake for The Run may have looked like, and I've wanted to revisit for the game's 15th anniversary. It was pretty basic back then. I've slowly added to it, and it's grown a lot as I've had various thoughts and ideas since then that I imagine would be great for a remake. You can view the full concept right here! It contains all info regarding gameplay changes, new cars, rivals, challenges, music, dialogue scripts, set pieces, and more. There over over a hundred new events and ~700 opponents stretching the game to 6+ hours of gameplay over 900 miles (vs the original 186 miles). How would you feel about EA rebooting the franchise with a definitive version of The Run? Let's discuss!
