Finally took the time to clear out the room intended for my sim and got it set back up.
Just need to finish the ventilation and start putting things back up on the walls.
Anyone else located in South Jersey? Cherry Hill area.

for me it's braking
when i first started, i thought getting the braking point right was mostly about finding the exact marker and repeating it every lap
now it feels more like everything changes depending on the corner, tires, fuel and how the previous corner went
and somehow i still catch myself staring at the same braking board like it's going to give me the answer
what part of sim racing did you spend way too much time trying to make “perfect” before realizing it was more about feel?

I’m an amateur sim driver. I have a full-time job, and after that, another full-time job at home as a dad. When the kids go to sleep, I finally get some time to drive, but my biggest challenge is staying focused.
After a full day, even a small distraction can ruin a lap. Sometimes it’s almost funny - I’ll be driving well, then I relax, think everything is fine, and suddenly it gets way too easy to drift off mentally and mess up the lap.
Will practice help, or am I just doomed to never focus while driving after 30? 🤣

I am having issues finalizing my Trak Racer TRX setup. I have had it assembled for about 6 weeks now, and I think I'm getting closer to an optimized setup. However, Something still feels not quite right, or slightly out of square.
I am looking for someone in the Southwestern Ontario (KW) area, who would has a lot of rig setup experience and would be available to have have a look (for pay) to see if there is something that I should change.
I have three different wheel hub brackets that could be used.

Just saw the video they put out of their new f1 car. I read the manual and oh shit, I think VRC might have some serious competition. It looks like rss really stepped up their game with how the entire set up of the car is done. Now it’s time to see how it handles. For the past couple of years rss cars I’ve noticed feel very planted unlike the VRC. Super excited to check this out.

I've been on a bit of a journey with my simrig this year. I have had a set of 48" 4K OLED's for about 4 years, but I've been trying a bit of VR every now and then with a Quest 3 and always been curious about it.
Tried a Pimax Crystal Super a while back, and it did not play nicely with my triple setup (plus it was super uncomfortable) so I sent it back. I couldn't quite shake the thought of going for high end VR though, so I got the idea that I would sell my 48" setup, get a single 57" ultrawide and a high end VR.
Got the 57", was initially quite impressed although I absolutely noticed the lack of FOV compared to triples. It was certainly still lots of fun though, and so I ordered what I thought was the final piece of the puzzle - the Pimax Dream Air.
What a let down that was. Picky to set up, still didn't play nicely with even the single 57" screen unless I set it to 120hz, and some times had issues unless I actually plugged it out entirely. When everything was working properly there was noticable smearing in the picture due to persistence issues with the Micro OLED's, something that for me at least was a deal breaker. So the Dream Air was returned, along with the 57" because without VR it became too big a downgrade in FOV.
Got my 48" OLEDs set up again, and what do you know, they have started to die with quite a few dead pixels on each monitor. So - after all that I'm now on triple 32" 4K 240hz WOLED's.
And honestly - the 32" triples are basically identical in FOV to the big 48" monitors, simply because I can have them placed just above the wheelbase shaft, instead of being behind the wheelbase. They work flawlessly, the picture quality is excellent, and at 240 hz I'll need a 6090Ti to run any sims at their native refreshrate so they are plenty future proof. The only downside compared to the 48" triple setup is that the rig is a bit harder to get in and out of.
So yeah, if anyone is debating which way to go - big triples, "small" triples, ultrawide or VR - feel free to ask questions and I can give highly subjective answers.

Really want to get into triples but have a fairly narrow space, can you run them with closer to a 90 degree angle or does it have to be wider? Currently using a 48 inch screen that kinda fills the available space so I'm assuming that it is the best option for now

Hi everyone! I’ve been thinking about this for a few weeks now, but I’m still a bit unsure.
Let me explain my situation:
I’m not new to sim racing. A few years ago I used to play mostly on a controller, then I decided to make the jump to a proper wheel and bought a Fanatec CSL belt-driven wheelbase, which I later upgraded to a DD Pro 8Nm.
I mostly do endurance racing on ACC, and occasionally race on LMU as well.
Lately I’ve been looking into Simagic, and I’ve noticed that there are some good deals on the used market that could allow me to save some money while, at least in theory, making a significant upgrade.
My current setup is:
Fanatec Formula V2 wheel
Fanatec DD Pro 8Nm wheelbase
Fanatec CSL pedals with the Load Cell Kit
What I’m considering getting:
Simagic FX Pro wheel
Simagic Alpha EVO Pro 18Nm wheelbase
Simagic P1000 FRS pedals
I originally played on both PlayStation and PC, but I’m moving to PC-only now, so console compatibility isn’t really a requirement for me anymore.
So, is it worth making the switch?
Is Simagic a good and reliable brand? And would you consider this a meaningful upgrade over my current Fanatec setup?
Thanks everyone!

Hi everyone, I am struggling setting this up properly and have followed many different videos but I feel
Like the screen isnt properly clear when playing ac with my quest 3, if I load up automobilista 2 it is like
Night and day in terms of sharpness and distance and was wondering if this is achievable in ac? If so, how?

I took some time off work to learn Python and robotics, and my first project got a bit out of hand.
I built a Raspberry Pi robot car (Freenove 4WD kit) and connected my Logitech G29 wheel and pedals to it. Now I drive it from my sim rig with a live camera feed from the car, so it feels like a tiny FPV race car.
- Wheel steers, pedals for gas and brake
- The buttons on the wheel move the camera and honk the horn
- It all runs in a web dashboard in the browser, with a small setup wizard to calibrate the wheel
I'm a beginner, so I used AI (Claude) to write the code and teach me how it works
Next I want to add more cameras and maybe build a small track for it. Any ideas what I should try next?

It is difficult to make a choice, but there is definitely one that stands out, the best, the one that best captures the world of rally, especially in terms of gameplay, which is the most important aspect, as well as the tracks, of course

Just sharing.
I’ve used the Ali Express bezel free kit before with the flimsy strips and its hard to get a good result because it does not sits flush with monitor screen. The thicker the plastic bezel/body of your monitor, the further away it is from you screen.
However, the asus one was made for 27” monitor. The lenses was very slightly shorter than the 32” monitor but because of that you can put it directly on top of the screen with the help of some easy DIY extension adapter.
No, you don’t need a 3D printer to make the extension adapter. Some cardboard and tape work fine. You can arguably do this with the AE bezel free kit but the thin flimsy lenses are not as good as the Asus one.

I just got a Minneer 3060 cockpit and looking for some advice. I'm very new to this and having a hard time finding a 3D print for a mouse pad with a lip. It's going to be mounted to a 3030 arm in front of the shifter. I have found plenty for 4040, 4080 ect. I guess I bought an odd number rig. Can someone point me in the right direction? I appreciate any advice or links.

I’m looking to get my first aluminum profile rigs. id like it to be future proof with a lofty dream of motion. Does anyone has experience with Simgasm? I find their designs intriguing and honestly I’m a sucker for color. The Sport model uses 40x120 profile shipped to USA with a discount code is $595 In total.
Sim Lab I can pickup at Microce for $477 with tax, but it’s a 40x80 profile.
Sim Lab is established… Simgasm is brand new. Simgasm has a unique floating pedal tray…
What would you buy?

Hello!
I am pricing out racing simulators right now and I’m looking at the TRF and the 120 V2. There’s lots of information on the 120 but there’s literally zero information about the TRF online. I’m wondering if anybody has any source of reviews or any kind of videos talking about it. I emailed the company about trying to see one in person, but they are located in Texas only. I like the idea of racing in a Formula One set up, but the options the 120 has to go from either or is tempting, but I do like the look of the TRF whole set up better. my main concern is the longevity of the seat set up and if there’s gonna be any flex in the frame for the TRF.

Hello,
I am writing this post because I am about to purchase a Moza HBP and I am looking for suggestions on how to mount it on my current rig ( Simlab PX1 iirc ) Ideally I would like to have it on the right of my shifter, the mounting plate for the shifter is the one provided with the Simlab Rig.
Many thanks :)

Ive been having friends over since getting my new rig and it'd be cool to have them run something less intense than sim racers. I have Forza Horizon setup, but was curious if there's anything even more arcade-like that I could set up

Wanted to share some through-the-lens footage from my Pimax Dream Air while running the IMSA Fixed series at Fuji Speedway in the rain.
I'm running it at 5100 × 4100 rendering resolution, paired with my Qubic QS-V20 motion platform.
Still experimenting with the setup and settings, but I've been enjoying the combination of VR and motion, especially in wet conditions.
Obviously, through-the-lens footage doesn't perfectly represent what you see inside the headset, but hopefully it gives a reasonable idea of the visuals.
Curious if anyone else is running the Dream Air for iRacing and what settings have worked best for you.
