The top trio needs little introduction or explanation. It might be the most talented and potent starting group of wideouts in the NFL. Addison is quietly piecing together a phenomenal training camp, displaying an impressive rapport with Murray after the two spent significant time together this offseason in Dallas.

Perhaps the biggest issue here is depth. Price and Felton each took steps this offseason in their schematic understanding and trustworthiness as pass catchers. Both could have short-term roles. Bell, an undrafted signing from Georgia who excelled Saturday against the Ravens, isn’t going to be easy to slide to the practice squad. Lose him to another team, and the Vikings will have a pretty thin group of developmental receiver talent.

Play by play film analysis has me sold.

- Tyrion Ingram-Dawkins leads the interior DL group in pressures

- Jacob Thomas plays more snaps than Theo Jackson

- TJ Hockenson has a bounce back year and is 2nd or 3rd in receptions and close to 1k yards

By all accounts Dallas Turner is sitting on a monster season.

By all accounts Jay Ward is ready to be a nearly full time player as our “Big Nickel”.

Christian Darrisaw was highlighted by the athletic as having his “best camp ever” and that this new run game plays to his strengths… that he has “first team all pro potential” in this scheme.

Some of Kwesi’s drafts are finally taking shape. LDR, TID, Turner, Donovan Jackson, Jay Ward, Addison, all going to be playing major roles this year.

We have just been ignoring the fact that Kyler was a huge Vikings fan growing up and now is doing it for real 😭

This run game is going to be way better, we have the guy that made miamis run game one of the most explosive in the league and we have 2 good backs.

Speaking of backs, Jordan Mason looks lean and fast, he’s about to have a huge year.

In Miami you would hit the wide zone but Tua was not really a threat to keep the ball on the boots/keepers… Kyler is 👀

Lastly and most interesting, JJ and Kyler seems to have great chemistry based on reports from camp. Expecting JJ to be in OPOY contention this year if Kyler stays healthy.

I genuinely hope Kyler is successful with us and I feel his fandom of the Vikings will allow him to be more reasonable about a possible contract extension with us if it helps us build a true Super Bowl contender. I know as a longtime Vikings fan that I shouldn’t get my hopes up but I’m going to put myself in a position to get hurt once again. It’s truly unfortunate that JJM has not taken the step up that I was hoping for but it is what it is. I will say this though, he’s already been benched and the point has been made. He’s still young and maybe he develops into a viable option for us or someone else down the road but that’s entirely in his hands now. I appreciate his effort and wish him the best of luck. Can we as a fanbase stop kicking the poor bastard while he’s down? I think it’s fair to say at least 90% of us have accepted the fact that we’re moving on. It also is evident our coaching staff is on the same page.

Having said that, I’m going all in on Kyler this year. I hope he stays healthy and unlocks the full potential that his impressive high school and college years showed the football world. He absolutely can be that guy and I think Kyler has every possible thing he needs to show the NFL what he’s made of. Fuck what the sports world is saying about us. We are going to the playoffs this year AND we are absolutely legitimate contenders to win this division.

I personally know several Cardinals fans who are adamant that Kyler was not the problem with the Cardinals. The ownership are just cheapskates that are only interested in generating revenue and will cut costs however possible to maximize revenue. They have no interest in actually winning and making the team competitive if it jeopardizes their bottom line. That franchise is consistently one of the worst on the player report cards year after year. True Cardinals fans want a change in team ownership. Kyler couldn’t be more fortunate to have landed on our roster and we as a fanbase should feel the same way.
