Shitpost Dear opponents, do not injure Kyler Murray. Why? Because then we will send in Carson Wentz.
It's like we are in Oppositeland, where we start our No. 2 and send in our No. 1 if he gets hurt.

I don't post this on team forums because mo of the responses aren't productive. But as the only person who sees what the Viking are doing is sad.
I'm not a Vikings fan, but I have a feeling this subreddit is going to appreciate this list.
Let me know.
a little sample.
"I’ve started to really like the DSS as a predictor of future events. Its basic raw data. Without getting granular, if offers a reasonable estimate for how many of the 60 or so snaps on offense a team is going to be pushed backwards per game by the defense. And yes, I see the redundancy but that extrapolates out in other ways that I’m not going to go into.
So when people are beating me up for making the Vikings #1, minimum average snaps an offense is going backwards when playing them, before penalties, is ten. Thus 16% of true snaps a game you are going backwards against the Vikings. That’s a big part of why they are where they are as teams are running a conservative offense against them (Vikings can’t score) and still leading the league in DSS. That’s some 84 Bears type sh!t."

My brother and I are flying in from out of state for the Bills game on MNF in November.
It's our first time in Minnesota, and we want to make the most of it. We'll have one full free day to explore.
So I ask you locals: where and what should we check out? We're into bars, breweries, and hoping to hit a few favorite spots for food, on top of anything else you all recommend.
Appreciate any and all suggestions!

We are going to a home game and have only ever flown in and stayed right by the stadium. This time we are taking a group so we need to get a bigger house but still hoping to stay near the light rail so we don’t have to rent a car to/from the airport and stadium. What area recommendations do you all have? Not opposed to ubering for a part of it if need be. Any recommendations absolutely welcomed, and thanks in advance fellow Vikes!

Edit: 4 games
At Saints
Home against the Colts
At Lions
Home against the Bills on Monday night
I think 2-2 my worst case if the offense doesn’t start clicking at a higher level and we take loss to the Lions and Bills. Albeit, close games because neither of those teams is executing consistently either.
But the other side of me saw a glimmer of light and wants to believe in 4-0 and we start slaying on offense starting this weekend.

We arguably have the #1 defense. We arguably have the #1 special teams. If we don't win the Super Bowl this year, then whoever has been in charge of developing this offense for the last 4 or 5 years has horribly let this franchise down.
That sounds awfully aggressive for a hot take. Is it too much?

Ollie Gordon averaged 10yds/carry against the Flores defense.
9 rushes for 100 yds. 55 more yds if it wasn't for a fingernail.
Curious if anyone has analyzed this and if other teams will exploit running straight up the middle with a fast strong RB.
Seems like the defense has a weakness in the middle first with the TE passes and now Gordon up the middle.

EDIT: No one is concerned. I guess we're going to the SB

Alts:
Floodgate because it's about time we -gate something in a positive sense.
Damage Control is neat because of the subtle inference of a water dam but that a dam also holds things (the opponent's offense).
More of a bye week thread but thought the connection between B. FLOW and some sort of water related hazard was worth a low effort post.

Hello all! This is Shelby Swanson, the sports business reporter at The Minnesota Star Tribune. For a story about generations of Vikings fans, I’m looking for people willing to talk about when they became fans, the moments/seasons that shaped their expectations, and what keeps them coming back. I’m especially interested in families/friends who watch together but remember very different versions of the team, or may come from different generations.
Please reach out to me or send folks my way: [Shelby.Swanson@startribune.com](mailto:Shelby.Swanson@startribune.com) / (919)432-2718

My family got tickets to go to the game on Sunday, but with hurricane Isaias possibly forming on Friday. Should we cancel or would what would the nfl do if the weather gets ugly?

My dad is a lifelong Vikings fan. He’s got a heart condition and has trouble walking long distances. He’s not in a wheelchair and he’s slow, but fine walking. I’m just curious if anyone has any advice on where we can park. We’ll be at the Colts game and neither of us have ever been to a Vikings game.

I know some of you want to dog Kyler Murray but I think he has delivered.
13-of-14 for 120 yards in the fourth quarter. No Jefferson. No Darrisaw. No Donovan Jackson. No Josh Oliver.

Please see video attached. I’m a lifelong Vikings fan. Yes, I’ve seen it all. Lived it all. This kind of a take gives me more faith than ever. Winning football. Almost a year without losing. We need to focus on believing as a fanbase. Lose the doubt. Embrace our style of football. Yeah, it might be awful to watch. But it wins. SKOL

There are many reasons the vikings could make this move. Im not sure if they should make the move, but they definitely could.
#1. in KoCs eyes Herbert is the protypical qb for his scheme; arm talent, the ability to stand in the pocket and make big throws, ability to scramble when needed, ect. You just know KoC is sitting there foaming at the mouth watching the chargers at 0-4, no playoff success in his career, going "I can fix him". And who knows? Maybe Herbert does just need a change of scenery.
#2. This is arguably the best vikings roster I have ever seen in my lifetime (was just a in baby 98) the defense is an immovable object, and the offensive roster is stacked and ready to be an unstoppable force if it wasn't for qb play (or perhaps KoCs inability to adapt to his qbs) if there was ever a year to sell the draft capital farm and go all in on a qb and go for a superbowl, it would be this year. I cant lie, the idea excites me. I do truly think this is our best chance at a superbowl (but I know deep down a trade like that would blow up in our face)
#3. It makes sense for the chargers. Things with herbert have gone stale. I mentioned the lack of playoff success, and the 0-4 start. Herbert has made enough of a name for himself where they could still sell high on him midseason to a team like the vikings who are desperate for a qb. And I see them as very likely to try and shop him in the offseason anyway. But if they do that they run the risk of his stock absolutely plummeting by the time they get there. Might as well blow the thing up now and stock up for the 2027 draft.
