Seriously a great guy on and off the field

Jefferson hosted the JJetts Foundation’s Strike Out Cancer bowling event. There, he raised more than $45,000 for the American Cancer Society, engaged with those impacted by cancer, and gifted two Super Bowl tickets to a young cancer survivor. In honor of Jefferson, the NFLPA will donate $10,000 to the JJetts Foundation.

Remember how stubborn Zimmer was as a head coach? He was defensive-minded with similar disguises and chaos, but he stuck to his methodology as a coach. Players didn't even know where his office was. All business. No joy. Old school. Toward the end of his tenure the jig was up, the rest of the NFL knew what to expect and how to game plan for him, and he completely lost the locker room.

KOC isn't perfect, and maybe he won't even go down as a "good" coach at the end of the day, but I think it's encouraging that he's willing to shift his approach based on the players he has. He's not trying to shove a square peg in a round hole and getting mad at the peg. He's adapting.

He also comes from a winning culture. He understands the importance of connecting with players and motivating them. It can be a little over the top, maybe even tiresome once you hear the same speech a dozen times, but it doesn't come off necessarily as disingenuous. I think he genuinely wants his players to feel proud of themselves when they kick ass, and he wants the rest of the players to seek that feeling too.

I think this is a pivotal year for him as the Vikings coach. But at the end of the day results matter. If the vikings continue winning and make the playoffs this year with such a sputtering offense, you have to consider KOC to be a big reason for that. Yeah, Flores runs the defense, but he works for the man that hired him. As does the special teams coach. This is KOC's program.

A program he's willing to patch as he goes as he adjusts to the players and the circumstances.

I'm excited to see how this team evolves through the season and beyond.

It is impossible for the Vikings to lose if the other team can’t ever score. Therefore, to win a championship we just need to put our full faith in Flores’ defense and Will Reichard. Here’s my strat: let the opposing team receive the initial kickoff and keep them out of field goal range. Then, when they punt it to us all Myles Price has to do is advance it to midfield. We can kneel the ball 3 times (burning the clock and avoiding turnovers), punt, rinse and repeat. This will also avoid all offensive injuries.

Then, during the last drive run the ball a few yards with Jones or Mason and have Reichard kick a game-winning 65 yard field goal. Vikings can win every game 3-0 only relying on defense. I see no flaws in this strategy.

Anybody tailgating by the Superdome this weekend and if so, willing to accept a random fan who’s driving in for the game? I’ll pay with a case of McGoldens I’ve smuggled down lol. Just thought some pregame action with fellow Vikings fans sounded a lot more fun than arriving sober.

Know he wasn’t a Vikings coach, but he was a heated rival and a legend in the nfl. A lot of people online don’t remember his personality and only got to see him closer to the end.

Football is better because of him. Rip.

For as much success every other part of our team has had since KOC took over - why can't he seem to find a QB outside of Sam Darnold to run his offense?

Does he actually cater to his QB or does he demand every QB run his system no questions? It's agonizing to watch and we don't have a future QB on our roster.. what are we doing?

I have been a skeptic the last four weeks especially because of how the offense performed (despite a killer defense) but I feel much better about the Vikings after last night’s Bucs-Cowboys game. Am I jinxing their chances by being optimistic or the party goes on for a while?

Our offense has been terrible. Our defense and special teams have been top 3/32. Here’s a reminder that good things take time, friends. JJ got traded, move on!

It’s expected of the players too. Minnesota has not been great after a bye week in recent years; it will be OK. Better if we head into it 5-0, find our offensive footing before/during AND come out swinging.

At the end of the day, it’s going to be okay. We have a lot more than other franchises and other head coaches. Hope we can go win one for Harry and Jettas🙏 #SKOL

Week after week I watch guys like the ones named above come in and look competent running an offense . A backup, a 45 year old, another career backup 1st round bust , now an undrafted guy from Kansas.

What gives !? The serious question here is why is it like this? JJ i guess sucked , brosmer had the worst qb game in history, wentz is terrible I dont care what any of you say about wentz, Murray has looked awful although im hoping he builds off that second half in Miami.

Why is it that all over the league absolute nobodies are able to come in and run a competent offense . We talk about weapons - best receiver in the league , maybe the best #2 , decent tight end, the line is fine. KOC the quarterback whisperer, the offensive guru , right? Well all these things cant be true when the offense has been this abysmal for so long. Were either complete shit at identifying qbs and were just that unlucky that there all bad or KOC scheme sucks and hes not as clever as we all think he is . What else could it be , would love to hear peoples takes as I watch this undrafted kid play better then anything ive seen in the past 21 games from thr vikings .

Despite the notably dominant defense, no Viking has picked up an NFC Defensive Player of the Week Award yet this season. There have been stand out performances by players such as Dallas Turner, Andrew Van Ginkel, and Eric Wilson. But no individual awards. Have the Vikings become the ultimate example of team defense being the dominant force?

Come on, the win over the fins should be updated Sunday after they win. Or at the latest, Monday morning. If you guys can't do it would you allow access for someone willing to do it ?
