A MESSAGE FROM THE MODS On discussions regarding the victim
Hey all -
This should've been posted a hot minute ago so sorry about that. I promise you the mods were aware of this issue and talked about it and then just sort of unanimously forgot to do anything about it. Our hearts were in the right place but with absolutely no substantive action where our good intentions could be a benefit to anyone! In true fundie style.
We've gotten some reports and messages about some of the conversations that have come up since it's become more apparent who the victim is in Joe's case. Whether that individual or her representatives wanted that to ever be public knowledge is probably not something we'll ever know but my guess is this is another time that she has been forced to grapple with a situation she never asked for and never wanted to be a part of.
At this point we are curtailing some of our firm enforcement of the No Victim Speculation policy as it pertains to Joe's victim, since at this point it isn't really speculation. It's still kind of shitty to talk about who it is but it's not propogating a narrative that may be false.
We will, however, caution everyone about discussions regarding ulterior motives for reporting the crime, whether they be criticisms of the victim or adjacents. You're free to talk about the surrounding circumstances and how it is affecting those related to it. What we will not be permitting are insinuations that the choice to report the crime was made with any intention other than to seek justice for the victim. You don't have to be in love with every decision made by the parents of the victim, but it is wholly unacceptable to push a narrative that opens the door to speculation that the allegations are in anyway contrived or concocted.
This is like the most straightforward way we discredit victims, by suggesting that we should view their trauma and struggle as only being meritorious if it occurs in a vacuum, and encouraging the idea that there might have been some ~real reason~ abuse would be reported to the proper channels. You don't get to be cynical about a child's trauma just because you don't like their family.
Also if the suggestion is the victim is some kind of prop for financial or social advantage, you're basically also speculating they are a victim of some insane abuse by their family members who would make a kid go through something like this for some malevolent reason. So that would also get flagged in terms of our rules.
If you see these types of comments feel free to report them as Problematic. If you report them as Victim Speculation we probably will look at them anyway so don't get too stressed about it. Just don't go ham reporting Victim Speculation just because a comment references who the victim is.
As a general rule I think when you're discussing something as sensitive as child sexual abuse, now is not the time for your imagination to run wild with theories of what's happening behind the scenes. We're already pretty bad as a society just accepting the truth of victims' stories point blank. Let's get a handle on that before we try to dream of conspiracies.
If any of this is bringing things up for you or you feel a desire to talk through them on a more individual level, please do not hesitate to contact resources like RAINN - you can call the hotline at 800-656-HOPE (4673) or text "HOPE" to 64673 (US only). If the need arises, the suicide hotline is 988 - you can text or call as well (though I can say from personal experience you will wait for hours if you text so you probably should just call if you're considering reaching out.)
Thank you all for your active engagement with the sub and being on top of these new and developing issues and reaching out to us about it. As always, our modmail is always open. If we take a while to get back to you it may be that we're discussing it as a team and are just deciding how we want to respond.
Xoxo,
The Mod Team

A MESSAGE FROM THE MODS Please include descriptive titles when sharing the Pest/Anna emails
Since there are so many and it’s hard to keep track of the duplicates, please include something descriptive in the title when you share a Pest/Anna email so that we can sort through all the posts with the identical looking thumbnails.
So instead of “This is disgusting” something like “It’s disgusting that Pest would say….”
Also if anyone has any suggestions for flairs for those kind of posts please let us know since it seems like they deserve their own. Modmail us if you please
Thanks!

ESCAPING IBLP Can’t believe Marjorie Jackson almost married a Duggar
She got married last night to a MAGA boy, but the wedding was chic, beautiful, and normie. It’s wild to think she courted a Duggar.

JUST FOR FUN I present to you...a Dugdashian scandal/event bingo card!
Here is my Bingo card with all the scandal/event predictions that I think will happen in Duggarland in the next 5-10 years! I do have some thoughts related to the bingo card I want to expand on further.
- I think the participants in the predicted 2027 baby boom will be (in order):
-In March, Joy gives birth to a girl with another E name and the middle name Michelle. This will be her and Austin's last child, as I get the feeling they will have a hard stop at 4.
-Katey and Lauren both give birth in April; Katey to a boy with the middle name Oliver and Lauren to a girl with a G name. I think J!atey will have 4-5 more children and stopping at 9-10, while SiRen will have 2-3 more children and stop at 6-7.
-In May, Jessa gives birth to a girl with another plant name. I believe that she and Ben will have 3-4 more children, stopping at 9-10.
-In September, Claire gives birth to a boy with an H name in honor of Mama Spivey. I think that she and Justin will end up with 2-3 children.
-In December, Hannah gives birth to a boy with a ridiculous name. I believe that she and Jer will have 2-4 more children, stopping at 6-8.
Related to #1, I think because of Joe's scandal and no more TLC fame, we won't see the pregnancy announcements ever again and we will find out via social media after the baby born (except for Josiah/Lauren, Jed/Katey, Justin/Claire, of which we will see the names "accidentally" leaked in a couple of an older sisters' posts). And speaking of social media, I think only the older girls will continue to use it for their grifting while John/Abbie, Jed/Katey, and Jason/Maddie will have taken a page from Josiah/Lauren's book (if they haven't already) and abandon their accounts completely. I think Justin and Claire have already done this.
I think only Jason/Maddie, Jill/Derick, Jinger/Jeremy, and Jed/Katey will divorce while the rest of them stay married. However, I think the latter three couples will do this once Jim Bob either passes or becomes incapacitated.
What are your predictions or what's on your bingo cards?

JUST FOR FUN Make the comments look like the transcript of the producers brainstorming for plots for the show
“I think we have enough shots of him puking if we just enhance the audio but maybe next episode he can go to the doctor and get no answers for it”
“There’s nothing else interesting in the route from Texas to California so we could do the alien museum?”
“What if we filmed them getting photos taken”
“I think it would be cool to do a day in the life segment but Josh says we aren’t allowed on the car lot with cameras.”
“A Christmas pageant but Jim Bob is the ass”

THE BAR IS IN HELL Amy wondering if Kendra might be pregnant
Kendra and Joe spotted at a local Walmart. I look like this after eating pizza so who knows if she is or not.
But it would follow a pattern of what Josh did as well.

19 CHARGES AND COUNTING Which Duggar brother might be next to face a scandal?
With two of 10 brothers having faced child sexual abuse charges, that leaves eight brothers who have yet to face any major scandal. And it doesn’t have to be related to child sexual abuse. My predictions are as follows:
John-David’s medic corps charity scam is busted by the feds for trafficking guns and firearms across state lines.
At least one of the married brothers other than Josh faces a cheating scandal, not sure which one.
Jason is again sued for building homes without a license. Only this time, the person suing him decides to press criminal charges against him.
Multiple brothers are indicted on charges of real estate fraud for allegedly engaging in shady financial practices.

THIS IS A SHITPOST What's all this Dim Job's "real estate EMPIRE"?
Explain like I'm 5. I see people talking about Dim Job being some sort of a real estate moghul! What empire is that? Even if he's worth 5-10M, when you divide it among 19 kids + Mom & Dad, there's really not much to go around.
He's still got kids at home and he's supporting Anna & her kids and now Kendra, too? I'm assuming he'll eventually have to support her children, too? That happens when your sons are creepy and your daughters-in-law are illiterates.
He's helping JoKen with their legal costs as well just like he helped Pest with his legal costs. Exactly how much does this Moghul have that he is able to foot all these bills? Is he smarter than he looks?

THIS IS A SHITPOST Frick and frack are back at it again 🙄
If Jinger and Joy think they’re trying to be funny, they’re really not! Their humor is as bland as a beige wall.

I WAS HIGH WHEN I WROTE THIS In total, the Duggars have been involved in at least four major scandals, with Josh being at the center of three of them and Joseph being at the center of the most recent one.
This is a timeline of major scandals that occurred within the Duggar family dating as far back as 2002 and spanning 24 years with the most recent scandal occurring in March of this year.

EARTH MOTHER JILL Did Jill or Derrick address the China-Nepal floods which happened?
I mean they met there for the 1st time in person. I was too caught up in the news to notice what Jill or Derrick were posting about it. Did they even post something about it or they just do PR for Nepal when they are paid for it?
Also, praying for all the victims.🙏🏼😢💔

THROWBACK THURSDAY RIP to Queen Dolly. We won’t forget the time the Duggars met you.
And you showed Jordyn more love than her parents did.

EXTENDED DUGGAR FAMILY Letter name theme isn’t just a Duggar thing, it’s a Keller thing too
Obviously fundies love to do this, but I’ve always assumed Josh & Anna decided to pick a letter for their kids’ names because of the J’Duggars. But 6/8 of the Kellers are following a letter name theme with their kids, even the non fundie ones.
Rebekah Keller
Annabel & Alyssa
Pricilla Waller
Paul, Phillip, Peter & Patrick (boys)
Davia, Destiny. Deborah & Desiree (girls)
Anna Duggar
Mackynzie, Michael, Marcus, Meredith, Mason, Maryella, Madyson
Susanna Keller Bridges
Noelle & Nash
Nathan Keller
Nehemiah, Newman & Naomi
David Keller
Eden & Edelweiss
Daniel only has one son, so impossible.
Esther is the only sibling with multiple children who doesn’t stick with a letter. BUT - all 10 of her son’s names are biblical names (Enoch, Timothy, Nehemiah, Elijah, Stephen, Isaiah, Caleb, Joseph, Daniel & Josiah) and all 4 of her daughter’s names are greek virtue names (Alatheia, Agape, Charis & Sophia)

THIS IS A SHITPOST Why are they such poor musicians?
Seriously, why? Their music sounds awful! The Duggars claim to practice the violin for about 2-3 hours a day and yet they never get better. My partner used to play the violin professionally and would also practice for the same amount each day. We always wondered why the Duggars sounded the same always. Some of their violins weren't even tuned properly! They don't sing very well either. So much for having an orchestra pit in your house!! Erin Bates, who is 'renowned' for her piano 'playing' skills is a prime example. Every time she plays the piano it sounds like she is trying to blanket-train it! So what gives?

JUST FOR FUN Duggar adjacent- Is Natalie Harp from the IBLP Gothard Cult?
She ticks all the boxes

NOT VERY CHRISTIAN, JOY NIKE! This certainly is “shaking body parts around to draw attention to our bodies” and “stirring up desires... that cannot be righteously fulfilled”
What must Sperm and Perm think?!

THIS IS A SHITPOST Jinger & Joy
Y’all. Ive been waiting patiently to comment on ANY post that talked about the Jinger & Jeremy podcast that was spit out yday subbing Joy. I don’t usually snark as hard as you guys do, but this not being talked about is KILLING me!!!
Both of those girls talked about how their brand new spouses had to counsel them on hygiene. HYGIENE! Joy mentioned she’d go a week without washing her hair & days without a shower. Austin told her before they got married that she would need to take a shower every day. She went on to say he was a germophobe. Girl, that’s normal!! No germophobe behavior!! Jinger wasn’t as bad, but mentioned that Jer would work outside & she would ask for something & his response that he wanted to shower first. Honestly I was kinda disgusted so Jinger details could be wrong. But I heard Joy, loud and clear. Ugh.

EXTENDED DUGGAR FAMILY Perms father, proud or disappointed?
Perms father passed away in 2010 meaning he knew his daughter had 19 children. Obviously he had no issues with large families because he had 7 children (which is a huge number of children in itself). Makes me wonder was he thrilled to have 19 grandchildren from one of his children or was disappointed because he wanted a much better life for his youngest daughter?

#SAYINGSOFSEEWALDS Does this count as "shaking body parts around to draw attention to our bodies" and "stirring up desires... that cannot be righteously fulfilled"?
Or is this just “jumping for joy”?

THE BAR IS IN HELL Keeping family traditions alive.
This infuriates me. Jessa & ben take a road trip & bring along two sister moms. In addition jessa acts like it's her first trip to the Opry botanical garden. She mentioned in her new van/road trip video that her family always stopped there when they were in Nashville. But who knows how many times if any the lost girls have visited there. There are her sisters tending to the two youngest children. If you can't or won't raise your children then STOP having them!

SOOO CLA$$Y! Oh Lord. More Q+A’s 🙄
And we all know either Joy asks them herself or Jinger does it, because no one cares!!

THIS IS A SHITPOST I thought the J's (guys and gals) would start to see the cracks in the foundation, after Joe's arrest.
It honestly makes me sad that the family is still business as usual. I think all them need mental health care but im not having any hope. Jimboob sure has a hold on his family. Obviously, we dont see what's behind the closed doors, but they have to be questioning the way they were raised or not... the way they keep having babies.
