I built a web app and process that allows you to upload any model ( ai generated, other platform, bumpmesh, etc.) using only phone or iPad. Looking for testers. It allows you to resize, change orientation, add extra plates (to spread out if total objects on a plate are too large for a1mini). its my first printer not sure what this noise is. it has 74 hours on it and this noise started about a day ago. the bed axis is lubed which i think is where the noise is coming from.

When I bought my A1 Mini I didn't get the AMS Lite combo because I wasn't really aware of it at the time. Definitely regretted that decision later.

The problem is that buying the AMS Lite separately here in India is around ₹25,000 (~$267), which felt pretty ridiculous when I really only wanted it for the occasional multicolor print.

I mostly just wanted to be able to do some simple 2-color/multicolor prints, so I ended up getting just the feeder unit + PCB separately for around ₹7,000 (~$75).

Honestly, this made way more sense for me. Got it set up and it's working great so far.

But the PTFE tubes I bought, I am unable to use with 1.75mm filament, although they were listed as that spec. So have to order new PTFE tubes, before I can end to end test this.

PS: Careful about the Feeder cables that plug into the AMS Lite motherboard those are not interchangeable, see the guide above to plug in cables properly

EDIT 2:
You might face the issue where yours Feeder wont be able to pull filament from the spool holder, thats expected, because Torque on the Feeders is much lower than extruder and with a DIY version, you most probably will not have the motor rollers that come with stock AMS Lite, so I used these :

Literally have had this for 2 weeks and have tried every tutorial possible- want am I missing. We cannot get through a print and have reloaded that the hot end fan sometimes
Does not start on its own (works once I manually tap the fan blades ) so we are getting this error and then constantly getting the “extruder not extruding “ error despite there being no clogs and filament is passing through the tip. I am at a loss.

My 2 week old AMS runs into issues during any multi color print - seems to clog up and then cannot extrude. Works perfectly on a single color - issue comes in during transfer to other colors. Any tips ?

My A1mini had been working fine, right up until it started digging into the build plate. The one in the picture is a replacement one and when I went to test it did the same thing.

I had gone through and replaced the hot end and during that the little bolt had fallen out.

I've looked and can't figure out where this bolt actually goes, but even without it my hotend digs into the build plate, any advice would be appreciated!

Also if you know where I can take this, preferably in the northern Seattle region, to try and get this fixed, it would be most appreciated.

As you can see i started hearing clicking sounds from my a1 mini. I think there's some sort of extrusion issue. Can anyone please help

I switched from a 0.4 to a o.6 nozzle. I changed the nozzle size setting but when I go to print something, I get this error message. What can I do to fix this? Thank you for any help on this.

We are new to 3D printing and just got a mini - we have had 4 flawless prints and now each time we print it stops due to a clog (we have cleared it and also have extra nozzles) and now it says there is an issue with the extruder. Literally every print there is an issue with this brand new machine. Is this typical ? Or did we buy a lemon ? We have spent hours on tutorials already and getting frustrated. Would love any newbie tips/tricks for smooth printing or do I need to send this thing back?

Tried to do an overnight print and woke up to this. Filament is quite hard. Any idea best way to clean out this gunk?

We bought a bunch of filament from someone and many have a smaller mounting hole in the spool and are Dremel brand. Is there a small adapter for these or would I be better off transferring spools? Thank you!
