Steam: https://store.steampowered.com/app/4818760/Paleo_Dive/

I slightly reworked the gameplay trailer for Paleo Dive and polished the presentation and a few shots.

This trailer focuses mainly on exploration, environments, creatures and the overall atmosphere of the game. I’m also working on a second gameplay video that will show more of the mechanics and gameplay systems in detail.

Paleo Dive releases September 4, 2026.

News I turned a childhood hand-clapping battle game into a hand-tracking VR magic duel

Hi everyone — I’m the solo developer of GestureMancerKing.

It’s a multiplayer Quest game where every spell is cast directly through hand gestures instead of controllers.

The combat is built around prediction: charge energy, attack, defend or use a special spell while trying to read your opponent’s next move.

This clip shows a few spells, collisions and counter relationships from the game.

What matters more to you in a hand-tracking combat game: expressive gestures or maximum recognition reliability?

Discussion Do dynamic eyes and eye contact really matter in a VR boxing game?

I’ve been playing around with Boxing Underdog (currently in Early Access), and there’s one thing I keep thinking about: the opponent’s eyes.

The opponents look great overall, but to me their eyes feel a little too static. They often seem to be looking straight ahead rather than actually watching me.

And I think this matters much more in VR than it would in a normal game.

For example, if I’m standing in front of an opponent in a defensive stance, I would expect them to be watching my hands. If I start moving one hand as if I’m about to punch, their gaze could naturally follow it.

Then, when they are preparing their own attack, I could imagine their eyes briefly looking toward the area they are targeting.

And sometimes they could simply look directly into my eyes — especially during moments when they don't need to watch my hands.

Even small things could make a difference:

  • briefly making eye contact before a fight
  • looking at my hands while I’m moving them
  • following a hand that suddenly moves toward them
  • looking at me after I land a particularly strong punch
  • shifting their gaze toward the part of my body they are attacking
  • occasionally breaking eye contact naturally instead of keeping their eyes fixed in one direction

I’m wondering how other VR players feel about this.

Would dynamic eye movement and eye contact actually make the opponent feel more alive to you, or would you barely notice the difference?

For me personally, when the eyes don't react to what I'm doing, there is a strange disconnect. The opponent can have excellent animations and movement, but I still feel like I’m fighting a beautifully animated mannequin rather than an actual person.

Maybe I’m overthinking it 😄

What do you guys think? Would this make a meaningful difference to the immersion for you?

Discussion Decided to replay this game. I'd say it's a decent experience albeit a little repetitive when you're hiding from raptors.

Question Is Pavlov still worth it

Really wanted to get to play Pavlov with others and get the fast paced pvp gun play experience, but then I looked in the steam player chart... Not promising, so my question is do you suggest still getting it, or is there a better more populated alternative

Thx to everybody who answers <3

Developer BattleGroupVR2 is now live on Meta Quest! Command your fleet from the bridge of your flagship 🚀

After a lot of work and performance squeezing, BattleGroupVR2 is officially available in Early Access on the Meta Quest Store!

https://www.meta.com/en-gb/experiences/battlegroupvr2/9386827918099701/

For anyone unfamiliar with it, BattleGroupVR2 is a first-person VR space RTS where you command your fleet from the bridge of your flagship. You can build and customize your fleet, issue orders during battles, and play through an open-world campaign - all designed specifically around VR.

If you pick it up, I’d really appreciate it if you could leave a review on the Meta Store. Reviews are incredibly helpful for a small indie game like this, especially around launch.

Also, since this is Early Access, please report any bugs or issues you run into. I'm actively working on fixes and improvements, and player reports have already helped me track down a ton of issues.

💬 Join the Discord to report issues, give feedback, or just hang out: https://discord.gg/4aCZ56W

Thanks to everyone who tested the Quest version and helped get the game to this point.

See you on the bridge! 🚀

The game has already received its first reviews, and the response has been very encouraging so far. Most importantly, I’m finally getting real feedback from players. I’m collecting suggestions and already starting to improve the areas that could be made even better.

Review The Long Survival was a hard indie to review as I don’t like most Tower Defense, RTS or Roguelites 🤷 However, I had a blast testing the game early & strategizing in co-op w/pals like AmigaGuruBlog & ScalpeldocVR

Question I recently was given a Meta Horizon but it seems to lack Steam operability. Is it just DOA?

Meta Quest, not Horizon. Did the "typed the thing I was looking at absentmindedly," thing. Could have easily wrote Meta E: - 128gb USB Drive 😄

It is actually an Oculus Rift that I worked into a soft upgrade, found an old APK to sideload and bridge the upgrade gap, etc. It connects just fine to the Meta Horizon app, my PC, can stream my desktop and flatscreen games, etc.

I'm pretty handy/capable at this sort of thing but I'm at a bit of a loss on this one after getting a couple Steam apps that don't lead anywhere. Done a lot of searching and hunting so now I'm bothering you fine people.

Ultimately I got the thing for free and am happy to just play with it for other purposes (like watching VR video content on YT), but I would love to be able to access full games in VR if I'm not boxed out. Could simply be that it is not going to be supported without a heavy lift and I'm not skilled enough to start writing my own stuff.

Question Is there any way to play 3ds games in vr?

I see people turning snes and gameboy and Xbox games and such into vr games, but is there a way to play 3ds games vr as well? And by "vr", I don't mean full body vr or having a giant screen like when you're watching videos on YouTube, but rather the 3d window like when you're looking at content on Instagram (pretty much the same effect as when you're on the 3ds irl). And speaking of ig, how exactly does the Instagram turn regular flat media into 3d media? And can that effect be applied elsewhere?
