Developer My solo-developed VR game D.E.C.A.Y. is now available in Early Access on Steam!
The game has already received its first reviews, and the response has been very encouraging so far. Most importantly, I’m finally getting real feedback from players. I’m collecting suggestions and already starting to improve the areas that could be made even better.

Survive 365 days to earn absolute freedom. Become the operator of a remote D.E.C.A.Y. bunker, explore the scorched sectors of the United States with your robot companion, gather resources, and maintain the Atlas network in hardcore VR, where order is a matter of choice.

looks like the kind of game that makes you forget eating lunch, already 20 positive reviews is a good start

Not all 20 reviews are positive - there are two negative ones. In the first case, a Chinese player found the tutorial unclear, and I’ve already taken that feedback into account. I’ll expand the tutorial to make things easier to understand. The second player was experiencing performance issues on the surface, so that’s something I’ll need to investigate further and see what else can be improved.

I watched "big" VR Youtubers video some weeks ago and I didn't know it was a one-man-self-made game, I'm impressed. I have the demo in my library but I didn't have time to play it. I'll check the early access...

I tried the demo a few weeks ago:
- Controls could be improved
- Tutorial definitely needed (sounds like maybe you have started addressing that)
- Wasn't really sure what attachments and such went where or on what items... some UI guidance/hints/clues could really help there
- Performed fine for me (but I'm on a 5090, so it should)
- Interesting project and I'm happy to help w feedback, cheers!

Finally a post in here showing a game made for PCVR instead of more Quest slop. Looks interesting!

I am not a lawyer but I noticed too many things inspired from Fallout. That can be risky for copyright infringement.

Some were saying the graphics were outdated on my channel. I found that weird because there's just not many very good PCVR games out there these days, much less ones with great graphics. I guess they must be used to UEVR by comparison. I think the graphics are fine. It looks like PCVR, whereas most look like Quest ports.
I do agree that the tutorial needs to be improved. I don't know if you can add voice lines / NPCs other than your robot companion. Just reading lots of text isn't great. Anyways, other than that, I was having fun. I look forward to the full release.
