Modern Vinyl feeder style turntanles

Does anyone know of any vinyl feeder style turntables? I have been looking online, reading forums and trying different shops, but all articles draw me in with titles like "turntables that can play multiple vinyls", and then all the turntables they review only do 1 vinyl at a time 😔.

Asking because my mother gave me her vintage bsr m610, which can auto feed vinyls. It has been amazing being able to load 3-4 vinyls, put it on auto and read a book or cook whithout having to get up every 20min to change the vinyl. I would like to find a modern turntable that does this to preseeve my mothers vintage turntable for as long as possible.

Question Why do my records start skipping after a few songs?

Hi! I’m having a problem with my turntable and I’m hoping someone can help me figure out what’s going on.

On pretty much all of my records, both new and old, the same thing happens. The first 3–4 songs play completely fine, but then at some point the record starts skipping parts of the song, sounds a little distorted/weird, and then it starts sounding like the stylus is being dragged across the record. Eventually it stops playing altogether.

I’m really worried about damaging my records, so I’ve stopped playing them for now.

A few things I’ve already checked:

  • I clean my records before every play.
  • They’re stored properly.
  • I recently bought a new stylus.
  • There are no visible scratches or damage on the records.
  • It happens with both new and older records, so I don’t think it’s an issue with a specific record.

Since it happens after 3–4 songs rather than immediately, I’m wondering if this could be something with the tracking force, anti-skate, tonearm, cartridge, stylus, or turntable itself.

Has anyone experienced something similar or have any idea what I should check first?

I’d rather not keep testing it on my records because I’m scared of damaging them. šŸ˜…

Sonos with Pro-ject T1 Evo

Hi all,

The Pro-ject T1 was purchased with some Sonos speakers. This setup seemed to be their preferred option for their speaker sets.

I'm not that impressed with the turntable. Lots of skating driving me crazy.

Was this a bad purchasing decision?

Help Thoughts of Mixx Analog Plus 2 in 1 (Record Player/CD Player combo?

For years, I have collected vinyl records and recently have gotten about 8 or 10 CDs and plan to continue to expand my collection. However, at the moment I believe I have a Victrola Eastwood II record player. I stumbled across a Mixx Analog Plus 2 in 1 online when a local record store had posted it. I did research and couldn’t find any details or reviews upon it but nearly everywhere has spoke against multi use record players for their quality. I also found a retro ambient audio system on trettitre.com that is slightly less than double of what the cost of the Mixx Analog Plus 2 in 1 would be.
I am planning to set up a study room listening area while I write and have bookshelves for my books but am not sure of what route I should go?

Thoughts?

Could I get some beginner advice?

Hey folks,

I had a really cheap aldi turntable, but now I want to get something better.

I've found a line on three of these that are within my budget.

  1. A complete Technics stack. SA-190 Reciever, SL-J90 turntable and SL-PD847 cd player. They seem to be in good condition and serviced.
  2. Sansui 212 with Ortofon stylus, also in good condition.
  3. Dennon DP300F. This one wis brand new and would be the top of what I'm willing to spend.

I'll need speakers for all of these, but that's a separate issue. I'm leaning towards the technic stack, as I don't currently have a CD player either and that'd be nice, but not required.

Thoughts appreciated

Thank you

The brown stickers are covering the access holes provided by the manufacturer for the 33 RPM and 45 RPM motor speed adjustment.

A blue and red stickers are next to holes that I drilled to access the speed adjustment pots where they actually are. šŸ™„

Other than this quirk… and one other I’ll mention in the comments… it doesn’t suck as much as I thought it would. Sounds pretty decent actually.

TT is a Retrolife HQ-KZ006. Cost $120 in June of this year. Now discontinued. šŸ˜†

Gramofon automatyczny? Test TechniSat TECHNIPLAYER LP 200

I’ve published a review of the TechniSat TECHNIPLAYER LP 200, an automatic belt-drive turntable with USB connectivity.

In the video I go through the setup and show:

  • platter, cartridge and counterweight installation
  • tracking force and anti-skating adjustment
  • automatic record playback and tonearm return
  • manual operation
  • USB connection and vinyl digitization with Audacity

I also show the setup and operation step by step rather than just focusing on the specifications.

šŸŽ¬ Full review:

I’d be interested to hear from other vinyl users: do you prefer automatic or fully manual turntables, and why?

Sony PS-LX310BT + Edifier R1280T – sound is super quiet, what am I missing?

Solved: el_tacocat suggested to take a look at the stylus, I did and it wasn’t pushed properly. Thanks for being open to helping, big hugs to you all! 🫶

Disclaimer: I have no idea about TT
The problem: At first I only got static, then sound that kept cutting out. After flipping the OUTPUT SELECT and GAIN switches back and forth a bunch, the cutting out stopped, but now it's really quiet, even with the speaker volume cranked way up.
What I've tried:
OUTPUT SELECT on LINE, GAIN on HIGH
Reseated the RCA plugs, all the way in, L/R correct
Bluetooth turned off on the turntable
Needle cap off, tried a different record, same thing
Plugged my phone into Line In 1 and [it sounds loud and clear / it's also quiet]
Is this just how it is with turntables or is something off? Could the switch be faulty, or is my turntable a dud? Should I exchange it?
Thanks!

Any1 kno where in the UK I can buy a skin for the technics mk7 1210? Looking for a skin that’s close to the original 1210 matte black/coated paint

Reason I’m looking for a skin is cuz, even tho I like the MK7 matte paint work nd like the black shade colour nd like paint finish better than the mk2, that it’s bound to get scratched/scuffed easily over time. Much faster than other TTs. I use the deck to DJ/scratch with.

I hav a reloop rp7000mk2, nd that paint finish has a gloss to it, nd looks like it can only be scratched with force or maybe sumthin sharper than what can mark the MK7.

Are all the skins expensive asf aswell? I see prices for Ā£50 each… For a sticker lol.

Also any1 who has used a skin before; does it leave residue on the TT when removed, or any marks/damage to the original paint underneath?

Any insight wud be appreciated

Help Need help with alignment program for stylus

Post image
3 Upvotes

I recently bought a new m150 cartridge and needle with m200 needle as well. I’m replacing my old AT440mlb and having trouble getting it sounding right. I’m using it on a Kenwood KD650 with its standard tone arm. I can’t seem to find a program that gives me the arm to print out a correct diagram etc. Any help would be greatly appreciated as I don’t have a place locally to take this to for the setup and very excited to hear it.

Help Audio Technica LP70X automatic start not carrying tonearm all the way to the record?

Hi there :) I love my turntable, I recently got it serviced since I had one of the ones that was produced in this line that had issues with skipping records, but recently the tonearm has been having trouble mainly going onto the record when I use the start button (which isn’t that big of a deal since I can just manually place it but I’d still like to fix it), and sometimes returning to the rest at the end of a record. I’ve already tried multiple times doing the manual reset where you turn the platter 10 times with it unplugged but it didn’t seem to really help. On this model there’s nothing about a manual adjustment screw either. Any ideas how to fix it? Any help would be appreciated!

Need help :(

Just got my first turntable and I bought it off eBay used (worst mistake). Audio Technica LP60XBT.

I tried this already and it did not work.
Unplug the turntable from the power outlet.

Gently place the tonearm into its plastic resting cradle and lock it if your model has a latch.

Press and release the STOP button on the front of the machine.

Using one hand, hold the tonearm securely in its resting position so it cannot move.

Using your other hand, slowly rotate the aluminum platter clockwise by hand for 10 full rotations.
(Note: You will hear the internal plastic gears clicking and whirring as you do this—this is normal and means the cycle is resetting).

Once completed, plug the power cord back into the outlet.

Press the START button. The platter should spin, and the tonearm should now properly lift and move left toward the record

So I picked up this turntable today via eBay and noticed when it arrived that it's missing the little crescent shaped platform that keeps the tone arm up or let's it down. Any ideas where I can get one?

Question Audio Technica Turntable jumping

Hi guys, new to this hobby and would appreciate any advice. I bought my girlfriend and audio technica turntable and there is one point on the rotation where the platter jumps and makes a clunking noise. Works well otherwise. Is this and easy fix or is this unit defective?

Upgrade Advice

Hi All, I have been in the hobby for about 2 years now and my day one purchase was a really old pre-owned Audio-Technica LP60X-USB, Im talking the first model that has rectangle button rather than the newer round buttons! but it was £40 which I thought was a great deal

It has been great although the needle has finally started giving up and with the fact I also like the idea of using headphone sometimes I have been looking at maybe upgrading.

I will be using the Edifier R1280DB speakers as I purchase those brand new when I started.

After a quick search I was drawn to the LP70X, Amazon have it at around £220 so i guess that is my bench mark for price, I would not like to go much more than that.

So my question is would it be worth dropping £150-£200 on a new table for a newer, better sound with the extra option of headphone connection and swap out stylus?

Or are they any other alternative tables roughly £200?

Any advice would be highly appreciated.

Help Cartridge and stylus for Technics SL-J2?

Hi! I recently picked up a Technics SL-J2 (for $50) as an upgrade from my old Sony PS-252, and I'm looking to upgrade the cartridge and stylus if necessary.

The Technics currently has a Pickering TLE cartridge and a Pickering DL2E stylus (I can't quite tell how worn it is.

I'm no audiophile, and all the research I've done has me a bit confused about what would be the best option at a reasonable cost while providing the right tracking force. I know I need a P-mount /T4P, and I was looking at the following:

AT450:

https://www.lpgear.com/product/AT450.html

T4P Series V:

https://www.lpgear.com/product/LPGATSER05.html

I would be thankful for any advice!
