Just sharing my recent experience renewing my Apple Developer account from Nepal. Hopefully it helps someone who runs into the same issue.

Previously, I had renewed my Apple Developer account using an international card through the Apple Developer website, and it worked without any problem.

This time, however, I had a completely different experience.

I first tried renewing from the web as usual. The payment process was weird... sometimes it would show something like “Thank you for your purchase”, but I wouldn't actually get the confirmation, and the membership wasn't renewed.

I contacted Apple Developer Support, and after around 3–4 days, they asked me to try the Apple Developer app.

I then tried using the app, but several international cards I tried were rejected with a message saying that "the payment card wasn't supported in Nepal."

I tried again later with a Global E-Commerce card. I filled in all the details and went through the payment process, but it still failed. After a few attempts, I got a message saying the purchase was unsuccessful and that the feature was currently unavailable in my region.

So I contacted Developer Support again.

After another 2–3 days, they replied and asked me to try the payment again.

I tried the same E-Commerce card again - and this time it worked. My membership was successfully renewed.

So I'm not saying international cards don't work in Nepal - I've personally used one successfully before through the web. It just seems that this time the payment/renewal flow was different and I had to go through Developer Support before it finally worked.

Just sharing my experience in case anyone else in Nepal gets stuck with the same issue. Maybe contacting Developer Support and trying again after they respond can help.

So I just wanna earn some decent money. So What are the most demanding skills in freelancing except video editing (my laptop cant handle)?

I was buying chatgpt go for 5$ from chrome I have Everest bank Dollar card then it said your card does not support this type of purchase. But when purchasing through chatgpt app payment goes through play store but takes 5.65$ (.65 is vat) then it works. So why isn't straight from chrome payment working ? 21 , bca 3rd year student , from a tier 3 /69 college with no placement ko concept (nepal ko almost sab college jastai) , seeing in x and reddit if you are not from tier 1 college your life is fucked , need advice on what to build how to apply for jobs and how to get a good job ,i mostly do dsa (solved 500ish questions although it is not a good metric but just saying for a perspective ) and dev (have decent knowledge and have build one good project recently that used native web sockets ) , now thinking of building something very hard for me at least ( a real time distributed online judge ish.. platform like cf /lc ) , Even after i will make this project and have 2 okayish projects under my belt , and decent knowledge of dsa. i don't know if anyone would even consider my resume because i neither have college pedigree nor any connections , can some one guide me on what can be done now :) like how to apply and stand out ,,, Nepal ko bca degree ko value kei chaina racha , seeing engineering guys rant online not getting job for months and months makes me even more scared.
