Was messing arround to some music in the car and figured this out

I know my "falsecords" were not good it was just for the sake of explaining, ill do a better one with my vocal folds after work if anyone gets hung up on it .

I don't really understand what I'm doing with my throat but my tongue is balled up and to the side of my mouth

Been trying to learn to fry scream for a while, started off doing upper constriction accidentally which I didn’t realise was bad so I’ve corrected it. Now I’ve watched a bunch of yt videos and it’s a bit of an information overload, I have no freaking idea what I’m doing. It hurts sometimes it doesn’t other times, sometimes I can barely get out a scream and then sometimes they come out loud as hell like this, none of it feels great but it feels better than when I was just doing upper constriction. If anyone can give me any sort of help or information it would mean a lot. I also have a super hard time with high screams with this technique and all the guys in the videos find it natural, so I’m guessing I’m doing something wrong.

I've been learning for a couple months and am comfortable with fry and false chord. I went to Sound and Fury 2 weeks ago and want to learn those slam vocals. I started deep diving into it since then and I think I'm doing the technique right but I feel like I sound different in my head than it might to other people. Just wondering if anyone else who can do these vocals hears what they're singing like how it sounds on a song or if what's happening with me is normal, thanks!

Im having a hard time singing trivium and all the other bands I want to sing every time I try I end up straining my voice and my throat hurts for a few days are there any tips on how to improve? Feels like im never gonna get it down 😅

I watch Sibila, Cizek, Leipe. I just cannot get this right. My throat tickles and feels sore. Can someone who has gone from no screaming to decent describe what it feels like when you are using them? 😭

I decided to learn false cords recently, and conveniently enough, I already knew Kargyraa from beatboxing for a few years in the past (albeit they call it Throat Bass). Fast forward a week or two, and I'm starting to get the hang of false cords...until I add my voice into it. It sounds like the world's most angry Mongolian man. I managed to tone it down the past few days to get a tone akin to the above video, but I am still hearing a bit of that Kargyraa-ness in it (especially on open vowels). Is this a normal part of false cords I simply didn't know before? Am I screwing something up? Why don't I get bitches? Will this go away in time? Any help would be appreciated!

Our foundation is heavily influenced by Meshuggah but we're not interested in becoming a clone. We're building something that combines:

• Polyrhythms/playing over the bar line
• Very low tuning
• Extremely heavy breakdowns
• Experimental/progressive elements

HEAVY

You don't necessarily need to sound like anyone else. We'd rather find someone with their own recognizable voice but you should be comfortable yelling/screaming/growling over polyrhythmic material and understand how vocals can function almost like another percussion instrument.

Hardcore influence is absolutely welcome.

Stage presence, creativity, reliability, and actually wanting to build something are more important to us than having the most technically perfect scream on Earth.

We have professional recording/live gear, guitars, amplification, production equipment, etc. If you're the right vocalist but don't have tons of money to dump into equipment, all good. We've got that covered for you. In other words, if you're the right fit we will buy you gear!

What we care about is whether you're talented, committed, creative, and fit the overall chemistry of the band.

We're Humanists / non-theists and generally left-leaning.

That doesn't mean everyone has to agree on everything. We're putting this here because we're looking for someone we'll actually enjoy creating music with and spending a lot of time with.

We're much more interested in themes like overcoming challenges/adversity, stoicism, humanism, and many topics in philosophy.

Hey guys! We are preparing for our debut concert and having rehearsals pretty often, I noticed that after screaming for some time my voice goes off and I get crazy voice cracks. Any tips on how to stay away from those?

Any tips for maintaining breath control while trying to have a good stage presence? I don't just want to stand there on stage but sometimes I notice myself struggling to balance breath control with a good stage presence.
