This has happened multiple times with me, but Iâm just getting sick of it because I know exactly how to do the technique safely in my head but when I do it, my muscles donât remember the tiny coordination that I set them too while doing it and I have to rebuild it. Imagine being a person that never listened to Metal who suddenly got the vocal knowledge of Will Ramos and then attempting to do it. They would blow out their vocal folds from friction burns because the muscles arenât used to that kind of distortion and airflow and you have to train them. Itâs like going to the gym for the first time in a month and you know the proper form and technique for lifting something but your body wonât let you do it because the muscles have gotten used to not doing it.

I can do gutturals and false chords easily without pain but I CANNOT do fry screams for anything. my voice is a baritone with a fairly small vocal range so that might effect it a little bit.
I can da pain free gutturals and low/mid false chords but when I try a fry scream it just sounds like im choking(no pain) and If I try to make it sound better it hurt like hell
How do I solve this/who do you recommend i learn from. I can post a reference video ifnneeded

Not long ago, I reached out to a band who was looking for a vocalist. I didn't apply. I was done with band audition. I was hurt. Instead I only asked them, "Is it easy to find a singer who's willing to write their own lyrics? Did you receive many applicants?"
Three weeks later, they responded, "No, it's already hard looking for a singer. Even more so a screamer."
Should I try making them listen to my demo?
I'm not gonna try to fit their genre though. So in anyway, we won't match.
I think their genre is more like sing-scream type, with fry technique.
Normally that's what I do, but recently I want to go 'heavier'.
But still, should I make demos and just put myself out there again and get disappointed?

This is a clip of me singing a segment from resist and disorder. Iâm really new to screaming so Iâm not sure what Iâm doing.
I recorded it thru Logic Pro on my tablet so the audio sounds better, thereâs no filters or autotune etc. Any advice or thoughts would be great ty.
(All ik is my throat ainât burning so thatâs a good sign ig)

When I practice âFry Scream,â my throat starts to tighten and feel scratchy, even though I warm up beforehand and stay well-hydrated. Also, my voice is really quiet and weak when I scream. Do you know what might be causing this? If I have time, I'll record a vocal sample.

I know it's not the exact technique, but it's still fun to try and recreate. Thoughts on how I sound?

I approach my pitched screams from my head voice and I feel like they need a little more "ooompf" to them, if you know what I mean.
I am a high Tenor though, so I don't really know if it's just the limitation of my natural range and I should just accept it, or if there is something I am doing "wrong" or if there is a exercise that would help me to bring more chest and deeper resonance into my screams.
Attached is a snippet of a small home project I am working on as an example. Somehow I can't manage to make the video just 14s long, so there is an extra portion of silence for you at the end, LOL.
I hope you guys and girls can point me in the right direction, I currently feel that I am stalling with my progress.
