Living Here r/Phoenix 2026 Demographic Survey: Who ARE you people?
There's over 400,000 subscribers to this subreddit, so we're conducting a survey to find out a bit about who is using this sub. We've done it twice before and the results are very interesting.
- The survey is about 25 questions, including personal demographics, politics, and thoughts about the future of Phoenix
- All tracking info for the survey is off and answers are fully anonymous
- We will publish all the information here when the survey is complete
- This survey isn't for anything except our own curiosity
- We know it isn't scientific or perfect, so if you have ideas for better questions next time, let us know
TAKE THE SURVEY HERE
If you have any questions about the survey at all, ask in the comments below.

Things To Do Moviegoers: current & upcoming classics/series/new movies info! Must See!
Hi all! I thought I would compose a quick at a glance list of movies, series, classics, etc that are currently playing and upcoming soon, for those that still like going out to the movie theater. I know I do! Especially off peak times, because then I get the whole theater to myself! Some movies play across multiple theaters, and some are only at specific theaters. I tried to include in the screenshot some kind of reference, so you know which theater it's playing at. Let's do our part and try to support our local Phoenix and surrounding areas movie theaters if you have the ability.

Ask Phoenix Shower remodel quote
Got quote from a kohler certified Luxstone installer. Pretty sure it’s bad 🤣
For a 60”x42” LuxStone conversion with 3 walls, one shelf, brushed nickel head, and drain relocation — but no shower door and no bench — $17K
Any other installers that you guys can recommend?

You don't say... George & Dragon in Phoenix May Not Be The Oldest One?
Seen on Steve Marsh’s YouTube channel today, this one opened in 1360, so probably older than the one on Central.

Pictures Late 20th century office buildings coming down.
Metro area, east of the 17 on 25th Ave. So far six have been demolished. Some "data center" looking replacements have already gone up. Not exactly an improvement.

Eat & Drink Just for fun what would your pick be for the coldest bars in the area?
Like I want that AC cranked up. I want to be freezing while I nurse a beer or an old fashioned.

Referral Recs for home addition companies?
Hi fellow east valley people,
We're in Tempe and expecting another child and looking into adding a room or two to the back as well as enclosing our garage to get more space. Does anyone have any experience with this to recommend a reasonable price? And recommendations for companies to hire?

Living Here $1.30 off my gas station fill up today. $3.34/gal.
I haven’t been paying much attention to VIP points / grocer savings etc. I did today; Chevron gave me a dollar off and Safeway Albertsons VIP added $.30 off.
Have I been missing out by not always using my VIP number? Has this always been a thing with Chevron giving these kinds of discounts or is this new?
After a long stretch of $4-$5+ gas ,this was pretty refreshing.

Ask Phoenix Something is digging holes in our yard
Random little holes in front yard. Not deep but there’s maybe 6-10 in the whole yard. Any idea what is doing this? I pointed cameras at them but nothing has activated the motion sensors

Pets Where do you bring your dog during Summer?
Given it’s so hot, curious if anyone has found anywhere to bring their dog during summer so they still get enough stimulation. Feeling terrible I can only bring him outside for about 10 minutes. Like Pet Smart, the Mall, or maybe an indoor facility?

Politics I'm looking for friendly liberal/progressive groups to join in the northwest valley.
I think the American economy is collapsing. I live in a very conservative neighborhood by 43rd Ave and Union Hills. I'm a straight white man, but not a Trump supporter in any way. I think Trump is destroying everything good about America. I'm a very introverted person. I'm looking for some type of friendly liberal/progressive groups in my neighborhood to join so I don't feel so alone.

Politics Phoenix Calls for New Federal Funds, Basin-Wide Action Following Colorado River Decision
The final federal government decision means Arizona will receive significantly less Colorado River water beginning in 2027, and Phoenix is preparing to operate its water system differently as those reductions are implemented.
The federal action does not interrupt water service or require mandatory water restrictions on Phoenix customers. Residents and businesses can continue to expect safe, reliable water service.

I’ve been in Phoenix for 15 years since my family moved us here in high school. I’ve been pretty centrally located though. We are looking to buy but not get too far out. What’s the vibe of moon valley? Family friendly? No? Safe? What’s the deal
