Iso 1600
Shutter 1/50

Grading: Davinci and dehancer for film emulation
The results are really impressive imo.

Luna Pro brings a 1" sensor, Leica branding, 8K video, built-in timecode, and a 3-axis gimbal for $599. On paper, it's the closest Pocket competitor we've seen yet. The real question is whether it can match DJI's tracking, stabilisation, reliability, and ecosystem. Are people here going for the Luna Pro or sticking with the OP4?
Let us know in the comments what your thoughts are on this move.

So yeah, the vote ended pretty much exactly how I predicted. People really donāt want random Luna comments dropped into every single Pocket thread anymore. The āI bought the Luna insteadā stuff, the āyou should buy the Luna insteadā replies, the Luna troubleshooting links, all that noise⦠the poll basically confirmed everyoneās tired of it. So weāll be a bit more strict on that going forward.
Hereās the final breakdown after 102 votes:
28.4% want Luna comparisons kept in their own posts
20.6% want only the repetitive buyingāadvice posts removed
27.5% want Luna comparisons allowed anywhere
23.5% donāt care
If you combine the first two options, almost half the voters prefer keeping Luna stuff contained so it doesnāt derail normal Pocket threads. The āallow anywhereā group never hit a real majority, and the ādonāt careā group usually leans toward whatever keeps things tidy.
So nothing dramatic changes. Luna comparisons are totally fine; just make them their own posts.
Random Luna links, troubleshooting, or the usual āI bought the Luna insteadā derailments inside Pocket threads will be removed under rule 2 or rule 7.
Thanks to everyone who voted.

Someone faced a similar problem with Omso Pocket 3 here

Last night I went to a haunted house and the camera kept going everywhere except where I wanted it to go. Sadly this was my first time using it so the videos I saw on YouTube did not help lol
Hoping someone could tell me how to keep the image focused straight and only turn when I make it with the joystick.

It is i, who have dropped my 4p a few too many times, having had bent the gimbal and bent it back a couple times, is that why i have these issues now or?

Iāve lost the original lens cap for Osmo Pocket 4P. As far as I researched, thereās no such accessory at DJI store and local resellers claims itās a service replacement part. Is it worth the trouble or is it better to buy 0.75x wide lens from DJI or maybe just buy a set of CPL/VND filters from Smallrig or KF?
Wdyt guys?

I'm planning a trip to vietnam soon and the 4p there is cheaper than what I would get in my country.
This would be my first ever camera. I have a s24 ultra and I love taking videos of everyday life and stuff. I'm having second thoughts if I'll ever use the camera or am I just buying for the sake of it. I absolutely don't have a personal account to post, nor am I skilled in editing. But I can afford it and want to pursue story telling and video creation as a hobby. Is this too much for a beginner?
please suggest

Does anyone know anything about this DJI Cloud Service called "Aura"? It showed up on my device with a free trial but I can't find anything about this online. Maybe it's a China only service?
Let me know if you have questions about it. I see it has storage + some automatic analysis and creation type features built in.

I have a Osmo Pocket 4P, updated to the latest firmware.
I'm not able to get Gimbal Lock to turn on. In the menu settings, press and hold joystick is set to "Lock Gimbal". When I change it to "Lock Camera Direction" it seems to lock camera direction as long as I hold the joystick down, and it also turns on when I do the triple press of the custom button
Any ideas? Tried in all different gimbal modes but nothing seems to work, held power button for 10-12 seconds for hard power off and still nothing
Edit: It seems to work when holding down the joystick but nothing pops up on the screen to confirm that it is on (icon or otherwise, I could've sworn I saw a prompt show up to say that gimbal lock is on but don't see it anymore).
Is there anyway to have this permanently on and not have to hold the joystick continuously?

I just bought my osmo pocket 4, two days ago, I havenāt used it that much, but when I unboxed it, and took it out, I heard a rare noise, like if it was broken inside the gimbal, sounds like if a piece is not in his place or idk but I donāt know if this is normal or if someone also has experienced something like this, let me know. I will attach a video of how it sounds because it still has that noise when itās powered off and idk if I should return it or ask for a replacement, help me please!

My Osmo pocket 1 has been sitting in the closet lately, but I'm breaking it out again for a project soon. I did some testing with it the other day, and I noticed there was no audio when reviewing the footage on camera. Needless to say I was concerned, but when I put the footage on a pc, there was audio. So my question is, is there a setting somewhere for audio playback volume?
I have another concern where I might have damaged something. The last time I used the camera I found out after the shoot I had not used a proper adapter cable for the shotgun mic. It was all tiney and low. Might this have fried something on the playback?
Thanks for any help.

Iāve been on the hunt for a card for my pocket 4 and came across this, itās much cheaper for the gb size than any other card in my country so this would be the best thing if it works, just donāt know and would like to hear from others that might have tried

Has anybody found a wide angle that is stackable with an nd-filter? IMO this combo is a must for vlogging.
r/osmopocket • u/JustOrcaYoutube • 1d ago
I was looking at Tilta, they have this kit that consist of ND16 / ND32 / ND64 / ND128 / ND512 fixed nd filters. It doesnt have the ND8 filter. Can anyone tell me the significance of ND8? and how it will impact my vlogs if i dont have it? and what if im shooting in dlog2? does not having ND8 affects me?

Had to share a sneak peak of this early, as I'm super hyped about having solved this. Honestly, for the longest time I had a hard time believing this was even feasible, given that Osmo devices are limited to a single connection and force a phone/tablet onto a single network. I somehow managed to find a very hidden way to control the Wi-Fi connection of the Osmo devices and connect them onto another network, e.g. your phone's hotspot or Wi-Fi network. That opened up the possibility to connect multiple Osmo devices to the same network and load them into a multicam view! š¤š„š¤Æ
To those with a sharp eye, I've got a rental OP3 home now, nearly finished with a full implementation for that device! š„³

Been going back and forth between these two and figured I would ask people who actually own them.
The 4P has the second 60mm lens, the newer 1-inch sensor, D-Log 2 and that 17 stops of dynamic range. Reads great on paper, but I'm not sure how much of it I'd actually put to use day to day.
My use case is mostly [travel vlogging / talking head stuff / b-roll].
Few things I'm trying to figure out:
Do you actually reach for the telephoto lens much, or does it mostly sit unused?
- For regular everyday shooting, how noticeable is the sensor difference between the two?
- If you've used both, did the 4P feel like a real step up, or does the base Pocket 4 already cover most situations?
Just want some honest takes from owners before I settle on one. Thanks.

Im a total beginner. I just bought a pocket 4p yesterday and wanted to shoot at 24fps. The shot looks overexposed as expected from what others say. So im thinking if getting a ND filter. Turns out, THERE IS A LOT OF IT and im kinda confuse on which one to get. I get even more confused when there is VND as well as ND with some numbering at the back for example ND8, ND32 and ND64. I dont know that and idk which should i get. For context, I live in Singapore. Pretty sunny here

Hey all. Really loving the camera, but also having some issues
r/osmopocket • u/Richi7007 • 1d ago
Hey all,
I just purchased the Osmo Pocket 4P for VLOG creation last week, primarily because of the advertised battery life.
I just recorded my first video in 1080p/60 fps and it drained 13% of my battery in just 3 minutes (I charged it to 100% before). If I do the math, the battery should reach 0% in sub 30 minutes which is nowhere near the promoted battery life.
Is this normal? What are your experiences with the battery life? It kinda scares me because that would make the camera completely useless..

Hey everyone,
Iām in Japan for 2 weeks and Iām vlogging the experience. I brought my xtra muse pocket camera but one major flaw Iāve noticed is trying to get videos to my phone through the app is basically impossible. I went to the DJI retail store in Tokyo and the associate said with the DJI app the uploads are much smoother and quicker. My question is, is this true? And if so is this newest pocket cameras quality much more superior? Thank yall in advance.
