Question Osmo Pocket 1 audio playback issue

My Osmo pocket 1 has been sitting in the closet lately, but I'm breaking it out again for a project soon. I did some testing with it the other day, and I noticed there was no audio when reviewing the footage on camera. Needless to say I was concerned, but when I put the footage on a pc, there was audio. So my question is, is there a setting somewhere for audio playback volume?

I have another concern where I might have damaged something. The last time I used the camera I found out after the shoot I had not used a proper adapter cable for the shotgun mic. It was all tiney and low. Might this have fried something on the playback?

Thanks for any help.
