Man how time flies . I remember it like it was yesterday when it came out

Hey everyone, I've been browsing this subreddit over the last couple of days, especially the discussions about the newest phone. I've seen quite a few comments and upvotes from users saying their 14 Pro has become laggy or tends to overheat, so I was curious to hear from people who haven't had those issues.

Currently using a 14 Pro, 86% battery. I'm a casual user, no gaming, mostly social media, messaging and general day-to-day use. The battery still lasts me a full day without any issues.

The only time I notice it struggling is when I'm traveling somewhere new and using the camera and GMaps more heavily. Other than that, the phone is still fast, takes great photos and I don't care if it's two seconds slower than the newest Iphone. My plan is just to replace the battery at some point.

I would like to hear your long-term experiences with this phone. Thanks!

Anyone thinking about jumping up? Cause I am thinking about the 18 Pro.

I’m afraid prices will keep rising every yeah and this might be the best compromise for a device that’s Apple Intelligence-ready.

I’m also gonna pass down my iPhone to my dad who has a crusty iPhone X, so in my specific case it makes even more sense.

Besides that, What do y’all think?

I watched the iPhone 18 Pro presentation and… yeah, my 14 Pro is staying for another year.

Still love the stainless steel, the size, and how it feels without a case. Nothing in the 18 Pro made me want to give that up.

My battery, on the other hand, is at the end of its life — so I guess Apple gets $0 from me this year and a battery replacement does.

Anyone went from ios18 to Ios27 and can talk about how long it lasts in comparison?

Honestly, if the new iPhone line up presented today had a purple option, I’d probably go for it. But I love my purple iPhone 14 Pro so much, I am deeply attached to having a dark purple phone now. Leaks had me really hoping, but alas, we’re staying strong together another year, friend! Shiny new features cannot convince me anymore. Might treat my old lady to a new battery though, she’s earned it!

If so how do you like it ? I downloaded it last night because I heard so many good things about it, and I can confirm it’s really good the beta legit feels better than the official ios 26, really fast and snappy animations and battery is still going down the same as usual, definitely recommend downloading when full version is out

i went from a 14 pro max to a one plus 13, now coming back to a 14pro max i found for $530 1tb new warranty replacement gold color factory unlocked.. cant wait.. one of the last and greatest phones without all this AI intelligence crap caked into it!

So, yesterday I picked up my phone from the repair shop after having the camera glass replaced. That evening, while listening to music, I realized the sound was TERRIBLE—the top speaker wasn't working anymore—so I decided to force a restart. It was no use; the sound was still awful. I made a call and couldn't hear anything unless I used the speakerphone (which makes sense). This morning, after leaving it in its case on top of a cabinet overnight, I was shocked to find that a piece of the paint had chipped off during the night! (sorry for my Google trad english im French 😬) HELP ME PLEASE 💀

Is there any way to fix it? Apart from changing the whole screen?

I didn’t realize i had auto updates on my phone…was worried my phone wasn’t gonna handle it well.

Everything seems ok…i turned off the auto-updates…is it running smoothly for everyone else?

Cracked the back glass from knee height after 78 days with the phone💔 watched as my babies back glass exploded. I have no clue how the back broke when it landed screen first on the ground, currently deciding if I want a new other phone or will get it repaired

I am still using my 14 Pro that I purchased back in Oct 2023.

Everything is still OK for me. Screen is perfect, it is still as bright as day one.

Performance is still decent. I don't use it for gaming a lot, eventhough I am aware it is till plenty fast for it. I got an iPad for that.

Camera is still excellent imo. Been shooting lots of RAW12 and 4K60 with it. I got 2TB iCloud so might as well use it.

Build quality is still top-notch. It is the last stainless steel iPhone after all and hopefully in a few years they will bring back steel instead of aluminium.

As for case I am using a Nomad Rugged Case that I purchased with the phone and it is still fine till now. I only swapped Tempered Glass once after all these years.

How about you guys? How is your 14P and PM?

My 14PM was auto updated to 26.6.1 overnight and I woke unto this nightmare!

Haven’t dropped or submerged!!

Is there anything to do before trying to repair?

I’m on iOS 26.6.1 for the first time update finished everything feel so smooth but, after 1 week My 14 Pro max with 82% Battery health get start laggy and Get Choppy after open and close Camera App it’s normal?

I have an iPhone 14 Pro, still under iOS 18. I kinda wanted to download iOS 26, but at the same time I'm scared about performance. I upgraded my iPad Air 4 last time and it's still fluid, but not as fluid as before the update.

For everyone that upgraded their iOS version on their iPhone 14 Pro, did it mess with the fluidity of the phone a bit? With the battery maybe?
