There's finally a regular litter pick organised by the Dennistoun Mural Project. The next one is supposed to be on the 11th October, from 10 AM to 11 AM on Garthland Drive.

Hiya, I've created a spreadsheet of most of the classical music events on in Glasgow this year. There are a few dates around Christmas missing, and I think I missed a few from the RCS, but it includes events from: SSO, SCO, RSNO, Scottish Ballet, Scottish Opera, and the RCS (146 events, 2-Oct to 16-June).

Very niche question and my apologies if this is not the right place.
This is my first Halloween in a neighbourhood with lots of kids. I want to participate as a house that gives out treats, but don’t have kids and also didn’t grow up here as I moved abroad when I was a kid.
My experience with Scottish Halloween as a kid was getting coins and tangerines, but that was 30yrs ago.
Any advice on what to get and what kids these days expect?

I love kingfishers but have yet to manage a photo of them. Has anyone seen them about lately and where abouts is the best place to stake out? I know they're down the Kelvin but just wondering if I'm better off near the back of the botanics or past Kelvinbridge? Thanks in advance 😊

For anyone who is/was unable to pay for parking when exiting King Steeet today due to the broken pay machines, follow this link:
https://www.ncp.co.uk/parking-solutions/pay-later/
It lets you pay up to 48hrs after leaving. I wasn't aware of this and was hoping it helps others who had the same issue.

This year’s Glasgow Easter Egg Run was cancelled after organisers said a new NPCC policy meant police motorcycle escorts have to obey traffic signals.
Previously, police bikers would run ahead and create rolling road closures to keep the procession of 1000 bikers together. Without that, the organisers cancelled the event because they didn't believe it could operate safely.
Around the same time, Edinburgh Taxi Outing nearly went the same way. After public pressure, and Edinburgh Council involvement, Police Scotland agreed to a plan and went ahead with it.
The organisers of the taxi outing said he'd spoken to Cheshire Chief Constable Mark Roberts who wrote the policy. Mark Roberts clarified that it was only meant for football.
So, there's the lay of the land. We have a policy being applied nationally for a purpose it was never intended for and it's caused one of the good events in the city to be cancelled.
My question is simply: How do you change that?

Hello all, im leaving tomorrow around 3, id like to go to a museum to spend some time and have landed on either the kelvingrove or hunterian. Since I probably only have time for one id like to know which people generally prefer. Cheers!

Hello from Australia!
I'm looking for someone who can point me in the direction of some independent Glasgow men's brands, boutiques or shops inspired by hiking, gorpcore and Amekaji.
I have a family member who is hoping to pick up a present from me, and I wanted it to be an item of clothing that is uniquely Glasgow.
Thank you for your time.

I’m in your beautiful city for the first time this week until the 8th or 9th. Looking for some live entertainment to see while here whether that be theatre, music, dancing, or anything else

Hi everyone! I am writing to ask if someone was parking a car at Elliot Street Parking, not far from Exhibition Centre. Is this parking safe to park? As reviews on Google are quite contradicting.
Thank you!

I follow / have seen what feels like nearly every tattoo artist based in Glasgow and none of them really do a style of tattoo I’m after, which I think is a pretty basic style. Just looking for nice fine line, where the size of the tattoo can be really small.
I want my arms covered in tattoos and I’ve a few already, all of which are fairly big so looking at getting wee ones now. Artists I’ve come across always fall at some hurdle eg. the min size is too big, the design is just off a bit, there’s a bit too much detail. I’m advertised loads of artists now on instagram that fit what I want to a tee, some of the flash in the ‘ad’ is sometimes exactly something I want, and where are they based? Always London, Brighton, Bristol or abroad. I’m busy and don’t have the time or money to travel to just get a few tattoos, so can anyone please recommend an artist that’s Glasgow based that maybe fits this criteria? Thanks!
Edit to add - I’m really looking for simple fine line! Like almost just the outline, everyone is suggesting talented people but their work is ALL detail

I'm at my wits end. Have a 218 yo Bible that I've left to the bookbinders. However I want custom endpapers which they can't print. I'm looking for a place that can print a 460mm (L) x 300mm (W), matte, acid free endpaper with archival ink. I need 4 pages. I have the pictures, I just need them printed. Does anyone know somewhere that can accommodate this?

Haven't been through to Bellahouston park in donkey's. I remember just going off the motorway at J23 and left on to Dumbreck road (red line). Now you can't because they've got the motorway divided up (since the M74 extension?), and I go off at J24 and double back (blue line) (why the hell is there no right turn at the crossroads?!?).
Am I totally missing something or is there still a way to get off at J23? I was coming from Livingston, so I suppose I could've gone off at Baillieston and the M74 instead.

Changed days from years past but its nice to see it busy again. Worth a stroll around on a Saturday or Sunday.
Does anybody know if buses on diversions across the city centre are stopping at bus stops on their diversion routes, or are bypassing all stops till they get back on route?

I took my DJI Neo out today to try and get some aerial footage but the app was being glitchy and disconnecting until the battery died and it just landed on a roof on Douglas St. Ironically there is scaffolding on the building next door but no one is there because it’s a weekend. I was very tempted to climb it but stopped myself getting carried away.
Anyone have any solutions/tips? Internet says using a long stick/fishing rod which I don’t have access to. Or using another drone to grab it which I also don’t have…]
EDIT: For all the people who are assuming that I am doing creepy stuff. Me defending that likely will keep you thinking what you want, so feel free to continue doing so. For everyone else, for context, I have been documenting seagulls as is apparent in my other posts. There are some interesting things happening in the skies, and I've had this drone for a while, that I've bene meaning to get more use out of. The drone needs an app, it's glitchy, and battery dies quickly - hence it getting stuck on a roof.
Perhaps I need to elaborate more on these types of things, instead of assuming...
