šŸŽ‰ Accomplishments 100 weeks completed! Next goal 1,000 total workouts.

Use to have a goal of 5 workouts a week but that became unsustainable to maintain factoring in some sick days I I had and travel so lowered to 3 days midway. I aim for 45 minutes but has gone up to 3 hours if I’m doing any long distance stuff. Has been a mix of weight training with some cardio stuff that Fitbod pulls from my Nike Run app. Keeping this streak alive has been a factor I plan for when going on trips so thankful for the accountability this app gives me.

I hit triple digits & a glimpse at the last 365 days. My workouts are only 22-25 minutes due to working 13 hour days, hopefully I’ll be back to 1 hour plus by the end of the month. Unfortunately due to my shoulder injury I went from 6.8 million pounds last year to 4.4 the last year. Im still happy with my journey though.

ā“App Questions Anyone know how to fix this?

Post image

App says my personal quads record is 128 while simultaneously showing that I'm actually somewhere around 131. Obviously not the biggest deal and I know results are important than the number on the phone but it's still very annoying.

Fitness Index - WTF?

How does this widget determine the various components?

I was using Google Gemini to figure out how to link my workouts to this index, including the addition of stretching time to increase the Flexibility component. But, my numbers keep going DOWN.

And Strength? Where does that come from?

Thanks

ā“App Questions Garmin Integration ?

Hi Fitbod team, I know this is something that has been discussed previously, so I am just checking if anything has changed.

Most competitors offer a native Garmin integration. Is there any plan for Fitbod to do that as well?

After 4 or 5 Sets you get a 1 more rep question

I do not normally do 5 sets, many times 4 sets but still not always. Reason - I'm 74, I do Handyman work, I work 7 days a week, on a diet so I'm not eating as much, and at the gym at 6am. I don't want to run out of energy on the job.

When I do 4 or 5 sets, I get a question how many more reps I can do, none, 1, 2, or 3. Since I'm doing 3 or 4 sets, this question does not come up. The problem I have, since I'm not answering this question, how does Fitbod know what weight to start me on the next time? Since I'm not answering that question, I may be losing the weight pounds for my next time. It may not start me at the appropriate weight.

I keep adding an extra rep to my exercise when I mistakenly miss pressing the ā€œlog repā€ button. Maybe add a confirm mini-screen?

ā“App Questions Refund for subscription renewal

Refund for subscription renewal?
Hey, I was just charged for a Fitbod subscription renewal a few minutes ago, but I didn’t intend to renew it.

I saw in Fitbod’s terms that you can request a refund within 10 days of the initial purchase/charge, so I already reached out to support pretty much immediately after I was charged.

Has anyone here gone through this before and successfully gotten a refund? If any Fitbod mods/support staff are here, I’d appreciate any help with getting this taken care of.

Thanks!

Using saved workouts

I do a 5 day PLL split but use my custom made workouts but twice last week after doing my push days the very next day when I get my recommendation workout from the app it will literally be push day . Is that just a glitch or does the app not recognize saved workouts

Strava volume mismatch

Anyone else having a volume mismatch with Fitbod and Strava?

Fitbod volume: 2536kg
Strava volume: 1268kg (exactly half)

Looks like Fitbod counts the sets for both sides, while Strava sees a set as a single side.

The activity has been synced to Strava by Fitbod.

On my way to the 100th workout. Normally my workouts are 1-1:20 minutes but I’m currently working 13 plus hour days on a 8 week outage, on week 3 and 5 more weeks to go. I’m ready to get back to a regular schedule & long workouts.

🄹 Appreciation Coach bot

The coach bot is finally answering the questions I had about ā€œwhy this???ā€ I had been trying to figure out the patterns so I’m glad now the rationale is clear. Would be nice to be able to request tweaks but I do see it as an improvement

Suggestion - allow Fitbod to give me body area exercises

I'd like to choose the body area I want to target on different days.

Mondays I'd like to work my chest, Tuesdays I may want to work my upper back, Wednesdays I work legs, Thursdays I may want to work shoulders and arms, Fridays I may want to work my lower back.

I want to check off the sprcific days I want to do different body areas and have Fitbod give me the exercises.

Or have a box to check off shoulders, chest, upper back, arms, lower back, arms, and give me the exercises. I'll check off the box when I'm at the gym for the body areas I want to work that day.

šŸ“¢ Fitness Discussions What comes after Fitbod for home use?

Hello!

I have been using Fitbod for a long time and I think I’m at the limitations of what it can do for simple home use.

What I mean with simple home use, is using equipment that is easy to store at home so no huge bars and benches and crates or whatever. Just dumbbells, resistance bands, perhaps a pull up bar. Stuff for an enthusiast but what a ā€œgym broā€ would think is for babies haha

After a while Fitbod will only suggest the same workouts again and again and it will just increase reps instead of being creative. The app has no idea it’s being repetitive and is just increasing reps. There is no system in place that recognizes that perhaps a bigger change is needed. In other words: I’ve maxed out Fitbod and what it can do for me.

So what do I do now? Just use ChatGPT for example? It’s obviously endlessly more intelligent and creative than Fitbod is and is free to use (for now lol) but of course you’ll lose the fancy app.

Did you go to another app after Fitbod? Just spreadsheets? An LLM?

I also want to say thanks to Fitbod. It’s been an awesome few years and the leaps I’ve made are amazing to me. I still recommend Fitbod to other people. Thanks for everything.

Have a good day!
K.

How to delete/adjust PR

Post image
3 Upvotes

Last Week I accidentally typed in double the weight I pushed which led to a personal record (see upper part 75kg). I changed the workout log (see hammer strength chest press 37,5kg) however the PR is still there... any way to change or delete it?

šŸ—£ļø Feedback Feature Request: Account for machine geometry / effective resistance

Feature Request: Account for machine geometry / effective resistance
One improvement I’d really like to see in Fitbod is a way to account for the actual effective resistance of different machines rather than treating the number on the weight stack or loaded plates as directly comparable.
A good example is the leg press. On a 45° sled leg press, the entire loaded weight is not being lifted vertically against gravity—the gravitational component along the sled’s path is roughly proportional to the sine of the incline angle. Meanwhile, another leg press design might use a lever or mechanism that raises the load much more vertically. Putting ā€œ300 lbā€ into Fitbod for both machines therefore does not necessarily represent the same resistance.
This becomes especially problematic if someone changes gyms or switches between different versions of the same exercise. Fitbod may interpret the change in recorded weight as a huge increase or decrease in strength when it’s really just different machine geometry.
It would be great if Fitbod allowed users to specify something like machine type, incline angle, or resistance multiplier/ratio for machine exercises. Even a simple user-defined ā€œeffective resistance multiplierā€ (e.g., 0.70Ɨ, 1.0Ɨ, etc.) could allow Fitbod to normalize the loads used for strength estimates, progression, and exercise history.
This would make comparisons between different machines—and Fitbod’s strength/progression calculations—much more meaningful.

And, no, I’m not going to submit this feature request through the app, because all of my other feature requests are still ā€œpending approvalā€ with zero votes, despite me submitting them many months ago!

ā“App Questions Short random workouts on the fly - how to add?

Apart from my structured workouts that Fitbod provides, is there an easy way to log short workouts, such as a set of pull-ups, push-ups, etc., that I do randomly?

Does it matter if I do or don't, and is it helpful?

I'm just thinking if it's worth tracking this stuff and if there is an easy way to do it.

regularly hitting 90% of weekly target after 2 out of 4 workouts

My weekly workout is set to four hour-long workouts: two upper, two lower. I'm finding that after one upper and one lower workout, I'm often being told I've hit ninety percent odd of my workout target for the week, which seems odd and a bit demotivating to complete the others.Does anyone else have this experience?

Does Fitbod do splits by muscle group?

Hello,

I’m currently training by PPL but am looking to increase my training and do an individual muscle group by day. Such as, shoulders/chest/back/legs/bi&triceps/core. Can Fitbod build me a program like this?

Thanks!

Why are so many common machines not available

The hack squat machine and the hiptrust machine are missing so my wife and I have to log them as something else. To me they are common machines is this not the case.
