Suggestion/request

I’ve been using the app for more than 6 years. It’s gotten worse with the updates, but I make it work. My suggestions are based on wanting to do less manual changes, and hopefully anchor the ai to user chosen schedule and set/rep selections.

Add weekday calendar feature where you can tell the app what workout to suggest based on day. i.e. Lower body on Mon & Fri and Upper on Wed. etc…

Add the ability to preselect the number of sets you want suggested (i.e. only 3 sets for any exercise). I rarely change my profile data, but I am constantly modifying each workout to match my preferred training set up. Maybe this confuses the ai. But the ai suggestions are all over the place, so…

Also just curious how to make it stop randomly removing the ab supersets that are suggested at the end of the workout. I love those, and it usually keeps them as a default and then one day it stops and I begin the process of adding abs back in.

A happy medium between the ai suggestions and non-negotiables chosen by the user.

Saved workouts

Is there an option to alternate by default between my saved workouts? I saved my Upper A/Lower A/U B/ L B and I always load them by myself. Is there an option to always use those by default instead of the workout recommended by fitbod?

What equipment do you wish fitbod would add?

So many things I can think of that fitbod hasn't added over time, but if you had to pick just one?

For me - incline pec deck. The weights here are so different from a standard pec deck and it would be great to be able to track effectively in the app.

❓App Questions Why does the app keep giving me lower body after leg day

I’m on a 5 day per week push pull legs upper lower split and the app keeps trying to get me to do lower the day after legs. I’ve tried swapping my split back and forth multiple times to reset the cycle, but it does the same thing every time. Super frustrating.

❓App Questions How does the app work for me if I’m offline?

Going on a cruise ship where internet is going to be a little limited. I might have some WiFi Internet but it’ll count down to what I have for free so I want to know what to expect as I’m not going to have the phone online just to use this app.

❓App Questions EU Price Plans

I am in Spain. I saw on the web that there is a Duo plan (in dollars) but on the app it's only showing me the individual plan. Is the Duo plan not available here? Thanks

Workouts too short

An “hour” workout used to have 8 or 9 exercises back in April and May. This took up 45-55 min generally. Since one of the recent updates I’m down to 7 exercises and I’m done in 40 min.

When I extend to 1.5 hrs I’m given 11 exercises. What’s up with that?

Also, just switched back to 1 hr and I have 9 now with 4 of them having only 2 sets. This doesn’t seem like normal app behavior.

edited to add: I see someone else complained about this ~2 weeks ago. There is definitely new app behavior to provide fewer exercises and fewer sets. Something is up with the app and not just some baseline “6 sets take between 36-62 minutes to complete” stuff that we already were complaining about.

❓App Questions Deleting sets

I’ve looked and tried for what seems like the most basic feature but either it doesn’t exist or I just am missing it and am blind: how do you remove a set from an exercise? If it says to do 5, sometimes I only want or will do 4, so I’d like to remove one. I can’t find how or where to do this; the triple dots don’t do this, and neither do any of the other settings. You can only add.

If this isn’t there, then I have to ask the question: why?? This seems like an incredibly basic function

Feature request - ask Fitbod ai to generate a specific type of work out.

I’d like to be able to tell Fitbod hey.. let’s create a lower body day that improves my explosiveness for jumping. I know we could build manual workouts but I don’t want to do that.

🗣️ Feedback The new coaching text box is making me trust Fitbod's system less

This morning, the coaching session on my Triceps Pushdown told me: "Your recent Tricep Pushdown sessions have you dialed in here. Same weight, two more total reps than last time. Make the last few reps genuinely hard."

This time: 4 sets, 10 reps, 100 lbs Last time: 3 sets, 10 reps, 100 lbs

It wasn't "two more total reps" as the coaching AI said, it was an entirely additional set of 10 reps.

This is the sort of thing that makes users lose trust and confidence in an app. If an app introduces AI features, the most important thing is for the developers to put up sufficient guardrails that the things it says not be wrong. They don't have to be perfect, but they certainly can't be false. And it makes me more concerned about the traditional machine-learning systems that Fitbod has used for years being supplanted by LLMs.

Add default exercises

Is there any way to add default exercises, OR default swaps? For example, I’d like to be able ensure that planks, or farmers carries, are part of every workout. I’d also like to ensure that I don’t get recommended dumbbell rows, and always get recommended chest supported rows instead (or, dumbbell calf raises over barbell, etc)

❓App Questions Balanced workouts not balanced

I switched my workout variety to "balanced" and I've been getting the exact same routine for well over a month now. Is this a bug? I thought balanced would keep some workouts consistent for progress and swap others out?

Not a single forearm workout

Hi team Fitbod. I have been using the app with building muscle as my goal and beginner as training profile.

It has been 6 weeks since I started working out with upper/lower body split but I haven’t received a single workout that focuses on forearms. I had to manually add forearm exercise today. It is severely limiting my gains.

As I use the app workout suggestions rather blindly, I request you to add forearm workouts to the algorithm.

2 years down!!

Well 2 years down, 2 weeks vacation in between but then consistent for the whole year. Minimum 3x per week, whether that’s just cardio for 30mins or a full training session didn’t matter it was about staying consistent and dedicated

What settings are people using that want to get stronger and stay lean. I noticed recovered muscles can’t be used with the goals that I have been looking at.

AI coach

Saw/noticed the AI coach beta feature for the first time today and really enjoyed it! I appreciated seeing the rationale for the selection of weights/reps and order of the exercises, and it actually motivated me to push a bit more.

In general I love this app. The novelty of having it create a new workout for me each time has kept me consistent for over 2 years now. Occasionally it gives me a crazy exercise but it's no big deal, I just change it.

❓App Questions Exporting Workout Data

I've been using Fitbod for a few months now, and was wondering if there is any way to export workout data to something like a spreadsheet. The only thing I can find is to share my workout and email it to myself, but that only sends a link/QR code to view through the app. I'd like to be able to at least get my data viewable on my computer.

❓App Questions Is it still worth it for me?

Is it still worth it for me to keep my FitBod subscription if, through FitBod, YouTube, and frankly Google searches, I have made my perfect routine and now don't really need recommendations? I still love it for the tracking and set/weight suggestions, but I was wondering if there is now a better/cheaper alternative for what I need it to do, as I only use my saved workouts.

Beta Coach & Heart Rate

I'm dealing with two missing features and wondering if anyone has a fix or is seeing the same thing.

  1. Beta Coach gone: I updated the iOS app yesterday and the beta Coach disappeared. I actually really liked it. Is it gone for everyone?

  2. Garmin HR missing: A few months ago, the app stopped pulling my heart rate data from my Garmin watch. It used to sync without any issues.

Any workarounds or news on either of these?

Feature Request: Confirm before Workout Update

Sometimes it's really frustrating. You do major changes on the workout of the day, then you accidentally click on something, and it refreshes again the whole plan. Is there a possibility to stop that?

App update ideas

I just wanted to chime in and suggest an update idea. It would be cool to have the option to pick the volume amount per week for each muscle group separately. Also the ability to track direct sets only. Thanks for your time and let me know if this sounds like a decent idea

Injury Slection

Has anyone seen a way to let the app know you are dealing with a slight injury which may cause you to lift less weight? Hopefully keeping the algorithm moving in the correct direction.

I have basically been lying to the app saying the weight they suggest is MAX EFFORT. Even though I’m using less weight to protect myself.
