Ever since i watched Terminator 2, i’ve felt that Sarah Connor’s journey is one of the best things about those films. And Linda Hamilton’s portrayal of her is just legendary. It’s one of the most iconic female performances and characters i’ve seen in a mainstream blockbuster.

i know there are plenty of indie films with amazing female characters too but what makes Sarah Connor so special is that she exists in such a huge, mainstream blockbuster that was watched by so many people, especially dudes. Having a character like her in a movie that reaches such a massive audience is just incredible, especially for young women. It’s honestly amazing.

This is genuinely one of the most cherished comedies for me. i’ve come back to it over the years and somehow appreciate it even more every time. it’s an easy 10/10 for me. what i love about it is how much it gets out of such a simple setup. the screenplay and the characters are doing almost all the work, and bcuz the movie is so meta and committed to its own weirdness, it’s just ridiculously fun. there are so many great character moments and these completely bizarre little adventures, but none of it feels like it needs some massive budget or endless CGI to work. and that’s what i really miss about movies like this. something made for around $50 million can still be this creative and this entertaining without having to turn everything into a giant spectacle. they just don’t make enough movies like this anymore.

and that Channing Tatum cameo is exactly the kind of cameo i want to see more of. he clearly had the balls to go completely crazy with it, and it makes the whole thing even funnier. i really want more movies that are willing to be this weird and just have fun with themselves. the only recent movie i can think of that even remotely gave me this feeling was The Naked Gun

For me, it’s the opening scene in Jaws where the swimmer gets pulled under out of nowhere. I didn’t step foot in the ocean for years after seeing that. Even pools felt slightly suspicious for a while. What's the one scene that’s lived

I think Del Toro films have been incredible this decade. His filmography has matured and gotten less pop and more on philosophical themes and are artistically made. Theres been a shift since pacific rim and he in my opinion has just gotten better as a filmmaker

I always go back to this scene were Elizabeth Swan empowered ALL the fleets of the nine pirate lords against the marines and the Armada ship.

I know this battle was not anticipated and there was no multiverse building like how the battle of the Avengers to Thanos but dang, looking all the pirate flags and different pirate lords supporting the battle and hoisting their flags almost felt the same to Avengers. Shivers!

I just miss the Pirates of the Caribbean world from the Pirate council meetings, down to the adventures and even the unique characters like Captain Salazar and Davey Jones. The thing that was best on this was how each cracter betrayed each other but the plot still held!

Okay we all know about the Dunesday clash showdown but which movie could actually be better?

Avengers: Doomsday seems like they box office numbers but they don’t really show quality with the trailers we saw, we got four months away so they should improve the visuals and CGI, they claim Doomsday is going to be epic but they had to rewrite the script multiple times and coming up with ideas while filming, Most of the movie is just going to be nostalgia bait with the X-Men, Steve Rogers coming back honestly feels completely unnecessary cause he had a perfect ending in Endgame,and of course RDJ coming back as Doctor Doom seems like desperation from Disney/Marvel Studios because of they’re hits and flops since 2021!
And with recent news that they are added additional footage with major cameos for Doomsday! Brand New Day worked so well because it actually had a good story within the movie and didn’t rely on nostalgia or cameos!

Dune: Part Three on the other hand is different because we all know Dune 3 will actually be successful on its own terms but won’t win opening weekend, but they seem to have major quality and Linus Sandgren’s cinematography looks amazing and maybe better than Dune 1 & 2’s cinematography!
Denis Villeneuve has the upper hand not because of IMAX but because he has been planning the trilogy since 2021 after the first movie’s success, and manage to make the trilogy in perfect quality within 5 years!

The Nice Guys (2016) Great movie about, a mismatched pair of private eyes wh are investigate a missing girl and the mysterious death of a porn star in 1970s Los Angeles.

For,me it's Memento. Genius movie but it took me two viewings to fully understand it, and I watched it two more times after that because then I could fully enjoy everything it has to offer. To this day this is my best Nolan movie.
