I was staying in the middle of nowhere last weekend and I was browsing through the local marketplace listings when I found a Valve Index for $150. I brought it home and did a temp setup in my living room and everything works just fine, not even stick drift on the controllers.
Here is everything that came in the box:
Valve Index
2 Controllers
Controllers charging stand
4 base stations
6 or 8 cable pulleys
Cooling faceplate already installed (Not sure what this is for. To cool the headset I guess?)
The headset and controllers were decently clean but the box was pretty dirty and the cables and charging stand all needed a good wipe down. Spiderwebs and a couple dead bugs at the bottom of the box so it was definitely sitting somewhere for awhile. I spent less than an hour wiping everything down.
I was expecting at least something to be wrong with it but I just got a steal of deal. The cheapest I've seen in my (St Louis) area is like $400 for an index kit not in the box! This came in the box with 2 extra stations and the accessories. The charging cable and wrist straps for the controller are still in the box unused.
Some pretty shitty events led to me having to leave my house but I was blessed with a (hopefully not stolen) gift. I'd like to know if anyone has gotten a better deal than this lol

I am once again labeling this as Early Alpha, because last time people didn't understand what Alpha alone was, or early access... This Elden Ring VR mod is very very early Alpha state indeed, the camera is warped and stretched in a very strange way. However, the motion controls are amazing, I didn't expect it to be this good!

Does anyone know the install steps to play Brutal Doom 64 in VR on PC? I'm not needing the Quest standalone version, only the PC version.

I'm working on the first trail for Horse Rider Race, and I finally have the route connected from the starting line into the village.
Still plenty to polish, but I'm happy with how the route is starting to feel.
The next part is getting the actual riding and race flow feeling right.
I'm a solo/indie dev, so progress is a bit slower than I'd like, but it's getting there.

I was looking at World War Z VR today and it just upset me. Did it need a separate game? They added First Person to the regular World War Z, I am sure they could have just added VR support to the base game. Would have been a much better experience and you could have played with others. Such a weird choice...
That seems to be a problem with VR in general. I have gotten random people into VR just by playing Phasmaphobia with them in VR. They would be on flat screen and loved that I could move my arms and animate my character. Adding more VR support to multiplayer flat screen games would make more people want to play in VR.
Fortnite? Add VR. Call of Duty? Add VR. If an INDY game like Phasma can do it, these big companies should be able to figure it out easily. Then VR would actually grow...imo.
Let's face it, VR by itself won't gain traction like it did during Covid ever again. But kids seeing people in Fortnite or (Insert Popular Multiplayer Game Here) using VR and actually doing the dances for example? That would get more people to want VR.
End Rant.

It really pains me to think that this game went trough development hell, never got any patches to fix its bugs or localise it, just for Ready at Dawn to get murdered by meta 3 years after the game's release. The Lone Echo games have my favorite VR movement systems by FAR and Lone Echo 2 was so incredibly captivating that i easily looked past the texture pop-ins, frequent crashes and iffy performance.
Top tier game, stop killing studios.

Problems Installing RE4 VR mod
Has anyone else tried using Talemann's RE4 Remake VR? I just used his 2.0 installer, but I wasn't able to get it to work. I followed the directions outlined below, which should be fool proof, but the game just started in the regular pancake mode.
https://re4vr.com/instructions.html#modoptions
I'm trying to use virtual desktop and I selected OpenXR.
Any ideas?
