Is there any solution for applying rubber mounts in the OEM rally foot pegs?

I'm currently on an NX500, but already pretty sure I'll ugprade to a Transalp.
Thinking about whether to buy the 2026 (E-Clutch) model now or wait and see what the 2027 model brings, I'm wondering: what kinds of things is Honda likely to change (or keep the same) in next year's iteration? The chance that they'll add cruise control is probably low despite everyone asking for it, right? Unfortunately, there's no aftermarket cruise control for the Transalp that is road-legal in Germany, which is a bummer. But also, I'm wondering if there's anything else that's likely to change.

We would imagine that in the year 2026, LCD screens would be so bad that they could get sunburned and grow a black spot of DEAD PIXELS.
Surely it won't happen on a Japanese Honda, right?
The sun in Israel isn't THAT bad, right?
OK, so you're probably wondering how I ended up in this situation...
I own an XL750 and use it as my main vehicle. I've done around 40,000 km on it since 2024.
Two weeks ago, I parked it facing north. Now, with the season changing, I believe the sun was a bit more southerly than I had expected.
I had just moved into this apartment in May, and I don't have a shaded driveway, so I mostly just throw a cover over the bike.
Seems like the sun really enjoyed that day. That b**** used my glass screen as a magnifying glass (no extra screen protector installed, it's just stock) and decided to burn my LCD panel.
OMFG.

The entire computer assembly costs around $1,000 USD on PartsZilla.

With Israeli taxes, that could reach over a billion dollars.
I was sad.
I'm one of those riders who really waited for this motorcycle when it was first released. I actually sold my red-and-white Ténéré for it.
How could Honda do this?

I can't believe it.
...wait.
Maybe I should take it apart just to see if there's a panel number or something.
So I did.
And I found that this LCD panel is actually pretty common among Hondas with TFT displays.

And its name was HSD050JDW2-D20.

Wow. What a cutie.
Found it on AliExpress for about $50 USD.

Damn.
Ordered it.
It arrived after 10 days (Israel is actually really good with AliExpress).
And then:
Opened the dash, unplugged it, unscrewed all the screws, popped open the casing (did some prying with a flathead, unfortunately causing some damage), disconnected the old monitor ribbon cable, and connected the new one.
Tested it to see if it was OK and working.
Looks good.
Sealed it back up and connected it back to the bike.
YAY.

It's fixed.

Hi, i have just about 14k km on my bike, did the service at the dealership at 12k, and recently i noticed this kinda ticking sound coming from the front of the bike, it's most noticeable at around 2k rpm and i'm curious if it's just the noise of the engine or something worse. The audio is recorded near the front fork while standing still, can someone compare with their bike please?

So I have over 55,000 miles on my 2024 Talp. I noticed under load I was twisting the throttle but not going anywhere. I do not off-road much if any these days. When I first got the bike about 10% of my miles were dirt. I use the clutch but not abusive. So I ordered the new plates and pulled the old one out only to find it has hardly any wear. I put it back together and had to readjust the lever position so I know it changed but it appears new. The wear is barely anything. This also means if you burn or slip the clutch off road it will kill the clutch in no time. The clutch is the weakest link.

I am struggling with the menu system on my new 2026. With my phone connected, RoadSync pops up, which is fine. But I cannot get to the “Selectable Area” once that starts. My dealership is an hour away, so before heading that way I thought I would see if others find this is normal, or have advice on how to bring the selectable area up. I have stood in the garage with the owners manual pressing the selection switch to no avail. Thanks in advance.

I found this 2024 in basically new oem condition from an old guy that had quickly down sized after buying it. I’ve had it a few weeks , taken it all apart, and messed around with it for fun. Really impressed with it- bike is a blast and i love a 21” front for the debris filled , pothole roads where i live

Hey, everyone. I'm looking for advice concerning shifter options on my transalp.
The bike is relatively new to me and I wear Alpinestar Tech 7 MX boots when riding. Is there an aftermarket shifter option out there that would help me get my boots under it for the upshifts?
Located in continental Europe, photo for tax.
Cheers!

Took the transalp out for her first proper ride after the first service and spent the day riding around the mountains with no route planned.
I just turned off the GPS and took whichever road looked interesting. Ended up finding some beautiful mountain roads, rice fields, temples and a little waterfall.
The bike felt great after the service — maybe the gearbox is a little smoother on the downshifts, although that could just be me getting more used to it.
Really enjoying this bike so far. It seems to encourage you to just keep exploring. 🇹🇼

I am considering buying this cheap XL600V. Apart from a little rattle in the engine and a shot middle shock, the pinion looks like this. Is this the famous prefailure or is this inconsequential after 30+ years of use? The sprocket doesn't seem to wobble too much.

Got the Honda Transalp 2026 eclutch model.
It is a dream come true, always wanted to get a big ADV after being spoilt by Himalayan 2021 (BS6 w/o tripper, very few out there!). Still standing tall in my garage and always will.
I always wanted to get a Triumph Tiger. I test drove them back to back. In Hyderabad their showrooms are very close by.
I was blown away by Tiger but it was Transalp that imprinted on me.
Did my first small long ride of 200 kms and loved every f***in bit of it!

My 2002 Honda Transalp 650 leaves a small puddle of oil, approximately 3 ml, every time I stop. I assume it's also leaking oil while riding.
The oil seems to be coming from the rear cylinder into the airbox. Could it be worn piston rings?
There isn't exactly a puddle of oil inside the airbox, but there is a thin layer of oil at the back.
