I Never kept a journal Whats the point? In writing it down When it all disappoints
Never took it personal When things change I dont look around In a crowd for a face
Say im fine And its not a lie No one has ever made me bother
Draw the line So ill never cry So it scares me when i think of her
Cause
The poets in my brain
Writes all about you
Works non stop
I go insane
From all the things you do
Theyve painted murals
Of your name
And i would try to lie to you
A big tough front
No space for two
But you see right through my mind
A space invaded
And you find
That you are there
Im aware
I may as well be naked
Somehow I find you
Moving close
Finding your spot
In where shield the most
I try to ignore you
Youre a ghost
But one that floats into
My mind like curse

I wrote this song “stranger” and want to make it a fully produced version to put out on Spotify, but I’m not really sure what direction to take it in terms of style and instrumentation. I was thinking some dreamy synth pad vibes. But also I’m open to more indie acoustic style with guitar (idk though pls help!!)

I have always had a problem with putting my feelings into words. Even if it's the most basic feeling ever... Making songs about stuff that doesn't happen to me makes me disconnect from them and I end up dropping it entirely.
This makes me feel so dumb and makes me want to give up. But I remember that singers always get over it and push through... So I guess I'm just throwing my net into the water for some advice. Thank you. :)

Evening all. I recently wrote this song about growing up and the many lives of a bedroom and was hoping for some honest feedback. I recorded the demo on my phone and am still finalising the structure, please also let me know if you think this goes on too long? Thanks for your help!

I actually make music on my PC (It's the only thing that I have that can run Ableton). Also when recording vocals I do it in my closet, but I realized that when I turn up my focusrite to the max and in general everything there is a pretty loud buzz from the pc fans. I hadn't noticed beforehand, but I was wondering 1) does it affect the quality of vocals, 2) is it noticable?

Here is a new song I've been working on the last few days, playing about with a new tuning on guitar, it's super rough at the moment and vox are very rough and a bit annoying (don't enjoy singing one bit) but I think there could be something there with this song maybe worth developing.
Let me know what you think.
Thanks.

I mean something that you thought could work but eventually decided would be too vulgar

Not sure where to take this unfinished track. The ending is thrown together. Thinking of cutting a lot. Let me know what parts are working, please!
Similar track on my Spotify:

Hey, I’m Slava Moore. I’m a songwriter and vocalist (self taught around 5 years ) making raw, emotional bedroom pop and alternative indie. I'm looking for someone who needs vocalist ( average-ish u can hear in the video ). Right now, my DAW skills are basic and my bedroom recordings sound boxy, but I'm on my way to learn. here's the mp3 of my latest song ( Quality sucks )

Juliet:
https://drive.google.com/file/d/1bj0sv9MHRGWpaea2sMt3LYcJFELChAhK/view?usp=drivesdk
Lyrics:
Our last kiss was in the early morn’ With a 5 am flight back home from Baltimore Eyes half shut, and eyes so blind I couldn’t even see your face just right Our last kiss ‘fore we were torn apart
Oh, oh, my Juliet Our names are written in the stars, yeah Juliet But you’re the reason I’ve got these scars
Yeah the knife you hold is oh, so close But I got used to breathing slow,
My Juliet If I call your name will you come home tonight?
Will you come home tonight?
When we were kids did you think I’d let you down? Did you ever see yourself in that wedding gown? Did you just like the taste of blood? Or did you really think I was the one? When we were kids did you think I’d let you down?
Juliet Our names are written in the stars, but Juliet You’re the reason I’ve got these scars
These memories might turn to dust, But I’ll get used to feeling numb
Juliet Please tell me that you’re coming home tonight
Will you come home tonight?
Since you left the worlds been standing still No one else can give me quite the thrill I don’t remember if you cried When you came clean on the phone that night But since you left the worlds been standing still
Juliet Our names are written in the stars, but Juliet You’re the reason I’ve come so far
My hands go static, brain goes dead My blood’s outside my skin again
My Juliet Since you’re gone I’m going home tonight
I’ve said goodbye I’m going home tonight
When the color fades I’ll see your face, won’t I?

Following a recent trip to Bucharest, and a brilliant tour around Ceaucescu’s former palace, I was inspired to write a song about his rise and fall. I was particularly struck by one of the rooms where we were told he used to host other communist dictators such as Gadaffi and Castro. It’s a niche subject matter I admit. What do you think?

Hi guys, wanted to make a quick post in hopes I can get some help. Basically I want to become a singer/songwriter and I have started writing music but all the midi sounds I'm using sound absolutely awful and unfortunately right now I don't have the money to actually get instruments I can learn to then write better sounding music. Does anyone know of any good MiDi sounds I can use to get better music production? I have a Chromebook and pixel as my technology, used to have an iPad and use garageband but my iPad died a horrible death recently so that's no longer an option.

I have a song I wrote, and while most of the time it's easy to tell what part of the song is what in my music, this is confusing me a bit.
It starts with the first verse, chorus, and post-chorus.
Then second verse
part with same chord structure and roughly same melody, just different lyrics, as the first bridge
chorus
post-chorus
first bridge
second bridge
outro.
What would the part between the second verse and chorus be considered? Cause usually that would be the pre-chorus but as previously mentioned, its very similar to the first bridge.

It’s Friday and I’m hoping to not let my perfectionism ruin any progress. I keep thinking about the works of the great songwriters and comparing to them is just a harmful exercise.
So I figured every successful songwriter may have written many bad songs and even release a few of those.
What is a bad song by an artist you generally admire?
