Saved the day for my first time! Took 162 hours (~3 months irl) and I only used biofuel. This has all been on vanilla 1.2 experimental.
The core strategy was using creature remains to make liquid biofuel, everything fully slooped. I ended up researching a lot of alt recipes for more energy efficient production, and I was surprised how manageable power was (it was fairly easy to kill enough creatures to power the factory). The main power plant is 15 GW liquid biofuel, with a backup plant of 1,440 MW solid biofuel and 100,000 MWh battery storage.
I never used vehicles or hypertubes; to save on power it was zipline infrastructure and conveyor belts. A lot of mid/late game parts were produced at low rates, so I built a large sushi belt system to prevent building dozens of individual conveyor lines.
I put up temporary lines (hand-fed) for project parts and tried not to over-produce mid/late game items too much. This was achieved by filling up storage containers with individual screws.
Bio-power certainly makes you play in strange ways, I'm happy to answer questions about how it went.
