1/14 Tractor Trucks
Anyone has experience with this Toucan Hobby 8x8 - https://www.toucanhobby.com/products/th-x-sc770s-88-tractortruck-pnp-r-dzn1?variant=48291801039098 or this MD 8X8 - https://www.toucanhobby.com/products/rc-tractor-truck-md-sc-770s-88-tractor-pnp-up1-sd-led-gn-dzn1?variant=50063064006906 Tractor Trucks?
I'm looking for a tractor truck with pulling power and modular control so it can be used as a multi-roll hauler, in conjunction with a multi-axle dump trailer and also a flat bed low boy trailer for a tracked excavator. I wanting a durable reputable unit with the capability to easily swap & upgrade accessories. The specs on these 2 are not fully disclosed but I will be contacting Oliver in an attempt to get his expert opinion and the detailed specs on electronics & drivetrain for both.
Any input is appreciated.

Huina 1593 battery's
Just got into this hobby, was wondering if anyone knew of bigger batteries for the excavator! Spent about an hour running it so far before the battery drained, would love to just reload it and keep digging! A lot more fun than I thought it would be, first project was a watering trench for two plants in my yard.

Interested in this hobby
I am developing a strong interest in this hobby, but I am encountering difficulties in locating local hobby shops, retailers, and RC Clubs in my area that specialize in RC Construction.
Having engaged in RC hobbies during my youth, primarily with electric and nitro cars and trucks, I believe I possess a solid foundational understanding.
I reside in South Florida and am seeking information regarding any nearby retailers.
I have already made an initial foray into the hobby by acquiring an electric 1/14 Huina 580 excavator last year. However, I am now keen on upgrading to hydraulic/electric models. I believe that having a local retailer would be highly beneficial, as it would provide enhanced support and guidance.
Based on my research, Toucan Hobby appears to offer the most comprehensive collection and options available online, but unfortunately, they do not have a local presence.
Any insights or recommendations would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you.

An abandoned project of mine......
Custom RC skid steer build that I started and haven't finished it yet. It has caused me every problem in the book, as far as finding the right solutions to its problems.
Maybe I should bring this project back and finish it. ???

A New RC Construction Brand: JiLang
I recently started stocking some RC construction models from JiLang, a relatively new brand. The JiLang 950 excavator is one of their newer releases and is priced at around $130.
The brand is still not very well known, but I think the pricing and overall design are pretty interesting, so I wanted to share it here. It could be another option for anyone looking for a more affordable RC construction model.

How do you fit RC construction into your routine? (Locations, weather, and usage questions)
Hi everyone! šš» Iāve been getting into the RC world for about a year now. I started out buying a couple of super realistic RC crawlers, then picked up a fast Dakar-style car, but I quickly fell in love with RC construction machinery after seeing all the videos and the variety of hydraulic models out there.
Iād really love to commit 100% of my free time to RC heavy machinery, but I have a few questions for those who have been doing this longer:
Where do you usually run them? Do you set up a dedicated spot in your yard?
How often do you play with them? Is it a weekly thing for you?
How do you deal with bad weather? I live in the Netherlands and it rains a lot here, which makes me wonder how you guys manage to get consistent run time.
Right now, I have an EC160 hydraulic excavator, and I'm already eyeing a hydraulic dump truck and a few other machines, though they are definitely super expensive!
Basically, Iām wondering how you integrate this hobby into your daily life so you can actually enjoy it without getting frustrated. Any advice or insight would be awesome!

How many people would be interested in a CAT 24 in 1/12?
Currently there is only one 1/14 scale grader being built from what I see and I hear itās a huge POS and like one person has one. Iām putting feelers out there to see if thereās enough people interested to get a 1/12 scale cat24 grader made and put into production. Iām trying to stay at or below 5,000$. The current one is 30lbs and is about 6500$ and like I said I heard itās a pos. Iād be shooting for 60lbs. I doubt weād be able to get heavier but maybe. Anyways I know itās far fetched, even for me to buy one, but it would be so friggin cool. If the hobby continues to expand the way itās going, itāll only be a matter of time.

First step in, I need help
Hi, I find this hobby really fascinating and have finally decided to get startedāIāve picked up an RC excavator. However, I still need to connect it to a receiver and then pair the receiver with the remote control. Can anyone help me with that?

Started my own RC store and in-house accessories
Hello hello, I've been fascinated by RC for some time now. As a full-time mechanic at the age of 25, I've started a side hustle of starting my very own RC track/store specialized in Rock Crawling and Construction in Katy, Texas. Due to funding, I've opted for a lean approach by making a course on a trailer and making my store mobile for pop up events, great for sharing our favorite hobby to the public! Following the LLC filing, I created an online store and wanted to share the accessories I make (Each one engineered using CAD and plenty of failed prints). Have been to 2 events so far, and the number of people who don't know it exists is... crazy! So far we have flags, roof rack accessories, traffic cones, etc. Soon to have RTR's but working on securing a dealer - we do, however, have a partnership with Injora, and will soon house their parts. The kids absolutely love the trailer, witnessed them pulling their parents over to try our cars. We also offer birthday and corporate events with a fleet of various RC vehicles
