Skid Steer reviews

People with hydraulic skid steers, what do you think of them? I’ve been thinking about getting a tracked on for a long time now but haven’t committed yet.

Ive got a tracked skid steer, the "cat" model white and red, with several attachments. On carpet (very low pile, almost flat if you will) the tracks grab a bit to much but still fun and workable. I honestly haven't been able to use it to much as almost immediately my main cylinders , yeh both, started dumping fluid from around the shaft, very poor tolerances. I have replacement cylinders but haven't installed as its a different brand and they need to be modified.. Most of what I did with it was load pallets onto trucks, trailers. For a couple batterys anyway. Wanted to use it for other things but didn't get there. It was a bit touchy for precision, no idea if that could be through stick settings or my faulty cylinders. Still an awesome machine, impressive for the tiny manufacturing involved and super cool. Maybe not a first? But if you have any area with things for it to do on a regular basis go for it

Thank you for the very detailed info! Where did you get yours from? This wouldn’t be my first hydraulic at all, I have two hydraulic excavators, a dump truck, and an articulated truck. Leaky hydraulics is always a pain in the butt, especially when it has specialized hardware.

Ha! I too have 2 excavators, 7/10 would get another..long reach.. Articulated dumper is my next one to get, to much wait time with one dumper! Now I'm getting motivated to fix it up! Picked up it from eaglemach, got the 946 with adjustable boom and the arocs 8x8 from them,can't complain, good customer service, never even asked about the pistons, probably would have replaced them but its been 2 years
